Dr. Yarber spent her childhood in beautiful Anchorage, Alaska and attended high school in Federal Way, Washington. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California (USC) in 2002. She continued her education in dentistry at the USC School of Dentistry, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. During her studies, she was the recipient of the Doctors Out To Care Award, the USC Century Award for Academic Achievement, the American Dental Hygiene Association Award for Commitment & Service, and the Colgate-Palmolive Outstanding Leadership Award.
Upon graduation, she was appointed a position as a member of the USC School of Dentistry faculty and served as a liaison for the recruitment and retention of underserved students into the profession of dentistry.
With a passion for the oral health care needs of children, Dr. Yarber completed an Advance Pediatric Dental Residency at Columbia University College of Dental Medicines Harlem Hospital based program in New York. In 2010, she received the Harlem Hospital New York City Health and Hospital Corporation Women in History Award for Outstanding Commitment to Patient Care.
With commitment and enthusiasm for outreach and service, Dr. Yarber is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, National Dental Association, and serves as a member of the Angel City Dental Society.
Dr. Turner, a board-certified pediatric dentist, grew up in Los Angeles, California and is the youngest of six children. She attended high school in Moreno Valley, California, graduating in 1996. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She attended Howard University College of Dentistry, where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree. During her studies, she was the recipient of the NDA Colgate Palmolive Scholarship, Blue and Gold Alumni Scholarship, and on the National Deans List. She graduated Summa cum laude and became a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in October 2012.

Dr. Jessica Tsai is a dentist anesthesiologist who is trained in a wide range of anesthesia techniques helpful to dental practices. She provides the comfort and safety of monitoring, sedation, and general anesthesia for dental patients treated in surgery centers and private offices. Having completed a hospital residency at Loma Linda University, Dr. Tsai has advanced training in clinical pharmacology and emergency care. This allows her to competently assess and manage the risks inherent to dental anesthesia and to provide treatment for adult and pediatric populations.
After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA in Neuroscience (Cum Laude), Dr. Tsai continued at UCLA to complete her dental education. During her time as a dental student, she consistently earned Deans List recognition, scholarships, and many exceptional performance reports. Dr. Tsai graduated with honors and achieved top board scores.
After several years in private practice, Dr. Tsai continued her education with residency training in Anesthesiology at the School of Dentistry of Loma Linda University in Southern California. Here she was trained in all modalities of medical anesthesiology, with a focus in caring for pediatric and adult patients with special needs and complex medical conditions. She is certified in Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support with the American Heart Association.
Dr. Tsai is a member of American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists, International Anesthesia Research Society, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Western Los Angeles Dental Society.
Dr. Michelle Brown, a board-certified general dentist, grew up in Los Angeles, CA in the Leimert Park area. She attended the all-girls school, Marlborough School, graduating with honors in 2008. She competitively played Tennis in Southern California and nationally throughout childhood, earning a full scholarship to college in Washington,DC. She graduatedsumma cum laudeandphi beta kappafrom Howard University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology in 2012.
During her time at USC she was a member of the Special Patients Selective, Stsudent National Dental Association (SNDA), and the Dental Humanitarian Outreach Program (DHOP). DHOP allowed her to travel internationally to Nairobi, Kenya and Treasure Island, Jamaica to provide dental services for the underserved.
Upon graduating in 2016 from USC, Dr. Brown has spent the past years working in community-based dentistry for a non-profit in the greater Los Angeles area before joining the Childrens Dental Specialist family.

It has a jungle theme for children!! My kid is afraid of the dentist but when he saw this place and the staff he became very comfortable and said " he like this place and would like to go back"...thanks to Su and Dr Yarbo

My son Maeson has gone here twice now both times were amazing and they make sure he is relaxed and comfortable. The music was kiddy and welcoming. Amazing dental assistants and doctor!!!! Thank you

"The office is fly the staff is friendly & uptempo" I was driving to Carson for the fine service this dental office offers. When I found out it was around the corner in 2021, we were in for a treat. The office is fly the staff is friendly & uptempo the dentists & hygienists are on-point the ONLY problems with this office is the tight parking if you don't know, now you know ;-)

One of the greatest Children's Dentist. I am so blessed to have found this dentist for my children. The office is set up so nicely and it's very clean, the staff are very friendly and the Dentist are thorough and very friendly as well.

Dr Yarborough is fantastic!! My grandson is always calm andrelaxed in her office. Her staff is kind and friendly and very professional. I would tell anyone with kids to take your kids there!!

It was very unfortunate the attitude of the practice's receptionist, because during our initial consultation with Dr. Brown she was great, she explained in detail what the treatment for my daughter would be. However, some of her staff definitely needs better manners. The receptionist had a pretty bad attitude every time I called, from the beginning. The last straw for me was when I got lectured about the staff "having vacation rights". The receptionist words were literally, "We have the right to take days off during the Christmas season because we have families too". This only because I dared calling to ask if they had received any cancellations, in order for Dr. Brown to see my kid soon, because having to wait for a MONTH AND A HALF for her to start the treatment was bit concerning.

I love this dental practice. The staff is friendly and attentive to kids of all ages. The dentists are fabulous as well and go out of their way to educate parents about how to keep the little one's teeth healthy.

Love this children's dentist. I was nervous to take my 3yo for her first dental appt. Everything went smoothly from making an appt to checking out. Love the TV's they have when you lie down and the little sunglasses they put on so the exam light doesn't hurt their eyes. My daughter loved it!

Beautiful office with a lovely and welcoming staff. Dr. Yerber is efficient, warm, and a joy to be around all in one. My son took really well to the experience, it being his first time and all. They were all very patient and gentle with him while making sure he was comfortable. I highly recommend.

I've very particular about my kids healthcare overall. Coming to this dental office; I feel at ease and my kids are handled with care. Dental team members are always pleasant! Office is very welcoming for the little ones, which they love!

It was Covid safe with temperature checks and staggered appointments. The doctor was gentle, patience and experienced my boys felt so comfortable. The ceiling t.v. was a hit with keeping them distracted.. They really enjoyed the visit to the "teeth doctor aka the dentist"
