Since 1994, Dr. Michelle Handel has been practicing dentistry on children and adolescents. Graduating from Temple University School of Dentistry, Dr. Michelle Handel practiced dentistry with a well renowned Board Certified Pediatric Dentist in Philadelphia for 4 years before she relocatedto the South Florida area .She opened her first office in Plantation, Florida, and currently practices in her West Boca Raton office since 1999. As a dentist for children, Dr. Michelle Handel is able to implement many methods to help your child feel comfortable and at ease. These involve coaching, distraction, and parent participation. Dr. Michelle Handel participates in and sponsors many school events. She works closely with the daycare centers and schools in the area. Dr. Michelle Handel lives in Delray Beach with her husband and four sons. She enjoys Bikram yoga, going to the gym, traveling and spending time with family and friends.The culmination of allher experience as a childrens dentist and a parent of fourhas allowed her to create a dental environment that is filled with comfort and fun
Dr. Joseph L. Herman who is also a general dentist who is limited to pediatric dentistry is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry. He has many hours of continuing education and has been treating patients of all ages since 1990. Dr. Joseph L. Herman comes from a family of dentists. His two brothers practice in south Florida as well. Many years ago, he joined the practice with his wife and has been treating children as well. I love practicing dentistry with children. It is a very enjoyable rewarding experience.
Born in Ohio and raised in South Florida around a family of Dentists. Attended University of Michigan and Florida Atlantic University for undergraduate studies. Recieved his D.M.D from Case Western Reserve School of Dentistry. He enjoys working on patients of all ages, especially children. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf and flying airplanes.

i wish i could review this place me and my 2 brothers got a infection on our molars and we have to get stuff done for it my little brother had to get his tooth EXTRACTED bro imagine how he feels and now me and my brother have to get stuff done.and the experience was terrible they treated us so bad and so aggressive and rude never again please dont go here.

My children love Dr. Handel. I brought my daughter to children's dental after another dentist kept telling me she had cavities. I brought her to get checked for a second opinion. My daughter didn't not have any cavities. I have been going to Dr. Handel since! The staff is great and we could not be happier!!!

HORRIFIED, zero star if possible. I Came to the office to fix the same teeth treated by Dr. Handel 8 months ago in the meantime a preventive cleaning in May was done, nothing was observed until the filling from past November fell out noticed last 2 days ago. DR. blammed on me for not flossing every single day. But funny that he doesnt have any cavity for any other tooth except by the one she treated (same teeth)and the situation now it is even worst, cavity on the nerve. They charged as we have to pay for a new service.... when I complained with the secretary the Dr. came saying that I was treating her, just because I said a review will be posted. Dr. expelled my son from her office like nothing to deal with and called the Cops, which I did the same. A complaint was made. Just my experience today. I wish good luck to you if you go there.

Had to pay $15 to have my kids X-rays emailed to me. To transfer them to another dentist!!!

Time to move on from the unfriendly and often rude staff. Unable to go back with my children. No parents allowed rule strictly enforced. Doctor comes out to waiting room to tell you about the visit in front of other parents. Blatant HIPAA violation. Appointments are hard to get and not available or convenient for working parents. I thought i had to stay with this dentist because of their insurance! But when i finally had enough after a rather rude phone call with a receptionist, I called the insurance company and was given another option! So glad I did! We are all so happy with our new dentist.

If you have a child who is weary about dental visits, this is not the place for you. My daughter went in for a cleaning and to pull a tooth that wouldn't fall out on its own, but was very wiggly. She also chipped a small Side of her front tooth in the pool. They ended up pulling 5 teeth without letting her father go into the room. My daughter is 8 and is timid, and frankly just scared of the dentist in general. My daughter says that in the room the dentist and dental assistant were discussing doing them all at once along with the tooth repair. They ended up rescheduling for the tooth repair and pulling the 5 teeth in one sitting. I called to speak with someone regarding letting the parent in the room and they said the main reason is to have a 1 on 1 between dentist and child as to have minimal distractions. I asked if that takes presidence over the child feeling secure along with the parent feeling comfortable and feeling transparency. The receptionist simply stated it was their policy and they do not make exceptions. I will not be returning here.

My kids been going there over a year. My kids love it. They don't get scared they have to go without me. A lot of pediatricians have that policy.. is not that uncommon. Great service and friendly staff

This place is aweosme I've been going for a while and the staff is very friendly and amazing ! The dentist are nice as well but I recommend the male dentist as he tends to be more gentle . Over all good place !

We have been with the Children's Dental Place for 8 years and we love their professionalism and understanding of special needs children. We have a special needs daughter and we would go no where else for her dental work.

My experience goes back years ago . Such a horrible experience I couldn't even ever talk about it until now . My daughter was six years old broke all of her molars during a bicycle accident . She had to have baby root canal's on 4 teeth and the dentist would not let me go back with her she was screaming bloody murder the whole time . Still to this day she doesn't like dentist because of that experience . I stood outside hysterical crying . I would've brought her somewhere else but it was an emergency case . The crowns that she put on were pure white they stuck out like a sore thumb till she was 12 years old and lost them. They looked horrible . I would never use this dentist it was a nightmare .
