Childrens Dental Health isdedicated to serving your child withthe finest pediatric dental care possible. Each of our friendly and compassionate pediatric dentists has received an additional two to three years of specialized training with a focus on children. Their approach to care involves a show, tell, do method, in which each pediatric dentist is careful to first show a patient what they plan to do, and explain how or why they will do it before taking action. This ensures that children are comfortable with dental equipment and they they begin to learn the routine of what to expect at each dental visit.
Following your check-in at our front desk, your child will be escorted to one of our treatment chairs in our patient hygiene bay, where they will be able to relax, put on their (super cool!) sunglasses, and watch a movie during their check-up. The hygienist will then perform a teeth cleaning, which includes flossing, and fluoride application.
Once your childs dental cleaning is complete, one of our pediatric dentists will perform a complete examination of your childs teeth and mouth addressing any additional concerns. Your dentist will then recommend a schedule for your childs future dental visits, which can range from once every 3 to 6 months, depending on their risk level for cavities. Once your childs visit is complete, they will receive a fun prize from our kids treasure chest, as well as a dental goodie bag, which includes a child-sized toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss.

It is important to remember that oral health affects more than the health of your teeth. Cavities in baby teeth cause pain and swelling that can be tremendously uncomfortable for your child. Oral infections can enter the blood stream and lead to other serious health problems. Bacteria can quickly jump from one part of the mouth to another, thus resulting in infections and cavities in new erupting adult teeth.

The schedulers here are an absolute joke. I called to make an appt for my baby, they scheduled me for the following Friday. Her appointment was important so I had to take off of work that day to take her. They called me the day before my appointment to tell me they made a mistake and weren't open on Fridays. When I called back to reschedule, the girl told me "no, they are open. You still have your appointment at 11." When I got off the phone with her, I got a text from the office saying "your appt is now scheduled for 10AM." So they rescheduled the time of my appointment without asking first. I called the office AGAIN, reached a contact center so couldn't even talk to someone from the actual office. I asked to be transferred to the office. When I finally reached someone they said "no, we are closed Fridays. Your appt was cancelled." Seriously??? I've never experienced something like this in my life. They are so unorganized, I ended up making an appointment elsewhere because I didn't want to give this office the time of day. Hopefully others have had a better experience. I also thought it was super strange no one asked me my reason for the visit when I scheduled. They didn't ask any questions about my daughter, just insurance info and her name. How did they know it wasn't something urgent....? It WAS something urgent and my 1 year old has since had surgery for the issues we were having.

First Visit was wonderful! My daughter received gentle care. The staff was really nice and friendly. The dental office was decorated nicely with characters wallpaper. I would definitely recommend this dental office to family and friends!

This place is awesome!! My granddaughter is Non-verbal and Autistic and this was her first visit. She is 4, they had Encanto on the TV and that's done of her favs! They were great with her! My son is 14 and they were great with him to. They showed me something about my sons teeth the last dentist didn't tell us.. They give the kids tokens afterwards to get things from their machines that have dif toys in them! I highly recommend taking your child there! They gave us the referral needed for my son to see an orthodontists and orthopedic surgeon.

My kids love going to the dentist and the staff is very friendly! Dr. Tony is amazing! He explains everything and gives suggestions as well. I would highly recommend. Decorations are great and my kids love that there is a tv to watch while they are in the chair as well.

I knew my daughter had a few cavities and our family dentist recommended a pediatric dentist. This was the only local dentist in network so I brought my daughter. We got taken back and dr. Tony looked inside my child's mouth did not use any tools at all and told me she had 8 cavities and a tooth would need to be extracted. JUST LOOKING IN HER MOUTH!!! No x rays or the little pick was done / used. I left not happy at all. Long story short I took my daughter to an out of network dentist to find she in fact has FOUR cavities and her tooth does NOT need to be extracted. They used tools and took X-RAYS. I do not recommend!

My experience in all of Delaware this place shock me Because their service was priceless informative and professional. I couldn't believe that my experience there was gonna be pleasant I had to tell them that they were awesome and that all the employees not some all of them were manner-able and professional thank you I enjoyed my visit.

I recently had an horrible experience with my child's dental office where she had been going since the age of 6months. I asked around to get recommendations and without hesitation Dr. Tony's name was mentioned repeatedly. So I made an appointment and can I just say I am so glad I did. My experience from the front door until I actually got to meet Dr.Tony himself was remarkable. We were greeted with such care and open arms. Everything was Covid-19 friendly. He broke my child's treatment plan down to the core and even made my child proud about her job well done with brushing. We have found a new home and I am beyond appreciative for the gentle but informative guidance that was given. Keep up the great work Dr. Tony and staff.

This will be our 3rd time I believe visiting the practice. We were with our former dentist Dr. Laurie Jacob's since my eldest was 4 and he's 21.5 yrs old. Dr..Jacob's has saw all 4 of my children for 17.5 yrs. When she retired the New dr and practice took over. The switch and transfer was done amazingly. My youngest two have disabilities. It was amazing they didn't have any type of sensory and "changing" issues with Dr. Tony I think we had. I was upset when my provider wouldn't allow us to be with them. Just recently we are now going back after alittle over a yr. But the time we have been there....I would still recommend the practice and staff as being wonderful, professional, and kind.

My son is 1 y/o and went here for his very first dentist appointment. I thought he would flip out but from the moment we got in the office he was so happy and walking around pointing at all the kiddie wall murals and they had toy story playing on the tv and it was carpeted, colorful and warm feeling unlike most doctors offices. The girls at the front desk were SO nice and Dr. Tony and the hygienist knew just how to handle toddlers with short attention spans. It was a quick and easy appointment. I filled out paperwork in advanced which helped a lot. Dr. Tony was cool and super personable. I went here because I had a hard time finding anywhere near Wilmington the specialized in children's dentistry. Great experience and definitely exceeded my expectations!

After having a terrible experience at my two sons previous dentist- Dr.Tony and all his staff, (and I mean from the front door) was amazing!! My 3 year old hates the dentist and was crying so bad at the start of his appointment ! Less than a minute in the chair he was smiling and doing well. Thank god for the mask... Dr. Tony and his staff would have seen how hard I was smiling throughout the entire appointment. My husband and I are extremely satisfied with our experience and would HIGHLY suggest this office to anyone's little one 10 stars!
