Childrens Dental Health isdedicated to serving your child withthe finest pediatric dental care possible. Each of our friendly and compassionate pediatric dentists has received an additional two to three years of specialized training with a focus on children. Their approach to care involves a show, tell, do method, in which each pediatric dentist is careful to first show a patient what they plan to do, and explain how or why they will do it before taking action. This ensures that children are comfortable with dental equipment and they they begin to learn the routine of what to expect at each dental visit.

Following your check-in at our front desk, your child will be escorted to one of our treatment chairs in our patient hygiene bay, where they will be able to relax, put on their (super cool!) sunglasses, and watch a movie during their check-up. The hygienist will then perform a teeth cleaning, which includes flossing, and fluoride application.

Once your childs dental cleaning is complete, one of our pediatric dentists will perform a complete examination of your childs teeth and mouth addressing any additional concerns. Your dentist will then recommend a schedule for your childs future dental visits, which can range from once every 3 to 6 months, depending on their risk level for cavities. Once your childs visit is complete, they will receive a fun prize from our kids treasure chest, as well as a dental goodie bag, which includes a child-sized toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss.

Pediatric dentists are specialists in treating the unique needs of children. A pediatric dentist has completed an additional 2-3 years of specialty training beyond dental school and treats the oral health needs of infants and children, including those with special needs. Pediatric dentists are skilled at using smaller equipment designed for a childs mouth and better understand the intricacies and importance of baby teeth in a growing child. They also focus more attention on educating patients and parents about preventive care to help children avoid complications such as decay, infection, speech problems, and cosmetic issues.

Primary, or baby, teeth are important for many reasons. Not only do they help children speak clearly and chew naturally, they also aid in forming a path that permanent teeth can follow when they are ready to erupt. It is important to remember that oral health affects more than the health of your teeth. Cavities in baby teeth cause pain and swelling that can be tremendously uncomfortable for your child. Oral infections can enter the blood stream and lead to other serious health problems. Bacteria can quickly jump from one part of the mouth to another, thus resulting in infections and cavities in new erupting adult teeth.

Were always looking for opportunities to help our patients form healthy habits at a young age! Our team loves to get involved in our community by visiting kids in surrounding school districts or attending local community events. If youre an educator or parent who would like us to visit your school or event, you can request your school visit, dental screening, or FREE virtual curriculum session below.

I had the worst experience for my kid's first dental visit. I arrived at 10:15a for a 10:30a appointment. People who arrived after me were seen and left all while we waited patiently in the lobby. We were called back at 11:30a. The dental hygenist brushed my 19 month olds teeth, and said the dentist would be in to examine his teeth. At 12p, a full 1.5 hrs later, we still waited for the dentist to show up. When I told one of the staff members she shrugged and said the dentist is there and pointed at him, as if that was any help. Ten minutes later the dentist barges in, and that staff member immediately takes him out and took him to see another patient. At 12:17p the dentist shows up, hadn't bothered even learning my child's name by glancing at his chart, asked me his name and age. The examination took less than 2 minutes. This is NOT a place I will return for my child's dental care. The entire appointment took less than 5 minutes and we waited close to 2 hours. That is ridiculous given I was with a toddler. When I was booking the appointment, they had slots in 15 minute increments. They need to stop over booking and stagger appointments at least 30 minutes.

Love this dental office for my son. He is 4 years old and has been going here since he was 2. The entire staff is super nice/professional. They always make him feel welcome and at ease so it makes the appointments run smoothly. The dentist are engaging and actually communicate with you, they don't just rush in and out. Love it here and will continue to bring him.

I liked the professionalism of the staff from registration to dental assistants to the dentist. Child/family friendly environment, clean, sanitary, followed CDC guidance to reduce chances of contracting infectious decease especially COVID-19. My 4 year old was excited to visit and talked about his dental visit all day. Dental service provided i.e. teeth cleaning with x-rays was done with care, explanation and fun for both myself and my son.

Picked this place because of the reviews. When I walked in there were two ladies at the front desk. The one with the hijab was nice and welcomed me, however there was one girl who had long hair and on the slimmer side and when I spoke and said hello she said nothing and handed me paperwork to fill out and this is when the other nicer lady called me over to check us in. Wait times are ridiculous. Waited 40 minutes for a dental hygienist which isn't too bad then an additional hour for the dentist. Our appointment was at 10am and we left at 12pm.
