Childrens Dental Health isdedicated to serving your child withthe finest pediatric dental care possible. Each of our friendly and compassionate pediatric dentists has received an additional two to three years of specialized training with a focus on children. Their approach to care involves a show, tell, do method, in which each pediatric dentist is careful to first show a patient what they plan to do, and explain how or why they will do it before taking action. This ensures that children are comfortable with dental equipment and they they begin to learn the routine of what to expect at each dental visit.

Following your check-in at our front desk, your child will be escorted to one of our treatment chairs in our patient hygiene bay, where they will be able to relax, put on their (super cool!) sunglasses, and watch a movie during their check-up. The hygienist will then perform a teeth cleaning, which includes flossing, and fluoride application.

Once your childs dental cleaning is complete, one of our pediatric dentists will perform a complete examination of your childs teeth and mouth addressing any additional concerns. Your dentist will then recommend a schedule for your childs future dental visits, which can range from once every 3 to 6 months, depending on their risk level for cavities. Once your childs visit is complete, they will receive a fun prize from our kids treasure chest, as well as a dental goodie bag, which includes a child-sized toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss.

Pediatric dentists are specialists in treating the unique needs of children. A pediatric dentist has completed an additional 2-3 years of specialty training beyond dental school and treats the oral health needs of infants and children, including those with special needs. Pediatric dentists are skilled at using smaller equipment designed for a childs mouth and better understand the intricacies and importance of baby teeth in a growing child. They also focus more attention on educating patients and parents about preventive care to help children avoid complications such as decay, infection, speech problems, and cosmetic issues.

Primary, or baby, teeth are important for many reasons. Not only do they help children speak clearly and chew naturally, they also aid in forming a path that permanent teeth can follow when they are ready to erupt. It is important to remember that oral health affects more than the health of your teeth. Cavities in baby teeth cause pain and swelling that can be tremendously uncomfortable for your child. Oral infections can enter the blood stream and lead to other serious health problems. Bacteria can quickly jump from one part of the mouth to another, thus resulting in infections and cavities in new erupting adult teeth.

Were always looking for opportunities to help our patients form healthy habits at a young age! Our team loves to get involved in our community by visiting kids in surrounding school districts or attending local community events. If youre an educator or parent who would like us to visit your school or event, you can request your school visit, dental screening, or FREE virtual curriculum session below.

Unprofessional, I scheduled in advance my childs appointment- I called and reconfirmed 1 week in advance the date and time. Everything seemed fine since I received my normal confirmation text the Friday prior. Yesterday ,I am sent a reminder text less than 24 hours in advance "REMINDING" me of my appointment time which was now changed to 2 hours later than scheduled??????!!!!!??? How Rude is that? , No Phone call AND when I called the gentleman said he sees no notes as to why they changed the appointment but it was now moved to a later time. He told me to just show up at the original time scheduled , but no guarantee they would see my child. Are you Kidding me ??? Do you not realize people have jobs and need to make time with there employer for these appointments VERY RUDE!! and its not he first time! I will not be coming back. I found a New Pediatric Dentist highly recommended by friends and clients and when I Called, WOW what a breath of Fresh air! when you Call you Actually get a person in that Dental office ( not a separate call center ) and they're open every day NOT just 1 day a week. So polite and welcoming . You're staff needs etiquette training. So sad, Because the Dentist and Hygienist were fantastic!

Horrible staff. Only nice one was was the lady who cleaned their teeth. As soon as I stepped in I was already not in a good mood from hardly any sleep. And the front desk lady snapped at me for not being quick enough on my papers. Didn't describe very well how to sign some parts of the paper then we go back, The lady who told the girls to come back didn't even say hi. Just said my girls names and gestured to move quickly didn't even look at my girls at first. Like they were cattle. Then we get back and the dentist they saw took my daughters spacer off. Wouldn't be a problem but he was extremely rough, she was saying it was painful and he went harder. And she bled very bad and was screaming in pain. Then he had the audacity to say it wasn't painful to her she's just a child and some kids don't know the difference between real pain and it not being painful...ok as she bleeds extremely bad. Then she's crying and he says "can you let me talk"....no care in the world most of the staff. I've never had this bad of an experience at a dentist. Then they said her bleeding was due to not flossing....when they flossed her a minute ago and there was no blood because my girls do floss!

My kids were scheduled for their first visit here I gave all their insurance information over the phone and everything 15 minutes before their appointment (while we were already sitting outside the place) I was called and told they don't except my kids insurance and they can't be seen. Waste of time and money.

Being a NC it wasnt a good one. 1. Never got a confirmation call or text of appt. When called to verify we were told that the office was closed. Waiting a little over a month for appt you can see how frustrated that might be. To find out that we did have the appt and it was a glitch. Okay fine, understandable. You dont talk to office directly 2.The front desk reception, who is the face of the business, was a little rude and had an attitude. Didnt explain or give directions well. Having 1 parent go back, well we have 2 kids so a parent for each right? Nope not aloud. This was never explained when making the appt or could of been with that confirmed message. Okay fine its a policy, understandable. This was their first visit each so didnt know what to expect with a 2 & 5 yr old. Thankfully it went well. The hygienist Lueanne was awesome. Great with the kiddos and loved her personality. About the only pleasant part of the experience. The Dr. was nice too. Not sure we will be back.

I took both my kids here 2 times and it was great. The 3rd time we went they said my youngest 3 yrs old, 4 back teeth were rotting and he needed surgery immediately. I took him for a second and 3rd opinion and both dentist said they dont even see cavities let alone any decaying. I feel they push unnecessary procedures for money.

Worst experience ever!! Was given a booking card months ago to show up for a 5pm appointment today. Showed up at 4:50 for appointment to be told I missed my 4:30 appointment. Total lie!! I still have the original booking card that THEIR employee filled out, not me. Made it seem like my fault I was late and they couldn't fit me in, even though I was on time! Not my fault they were running an hour behind with other patients. Beyond annoyed I spent my gas and time to drive to this location only to be told a lie. Will NOT be going back or recommending anyone use this company for their child's dentist. What a joke!

They have been great with my son who has always been very nervous and uncooperative at the dentist. They are patient and kind and are slowly working him up to doing more and more of the visit each time. They praise him for each step he takes and never push him too fast. Highly recommend, but keep in mind that they get very busy in the late afternoon so schedule earlier if you can.

This is for the Easton location. I'm not sure why the code says Trexlertown. I made my child an 8am appointment so that she wouldn't be late for school. Be aware that when they give you an 8am appointment, they book multiple others at the same time, but don't have the hygienists to do all of the 8am appointments at the same time. I just verified with an employee that this is their practice. The hygienist didn't come in until 825a, and that's because I went out and complained. They should only be making appointments for the number of hygienists they have.

Too many policies horrible experience . Told I didn't have insurance they was unable to locate had to call myself to have them confirm coverage . All things that should have been done by the office. Told I could not be seen without a social security number even after verifying insurance . First time visit will be our last visit. Unhelpful staff ..

My daughter is very scared of the dentist but her first time here they made her feel so safe and comfortable. She told me herself she likes this place better than her other dentist.

My first time there with my almost 4 year old daughter. I loved it so much from the moment i went in. They had a movie playing which was great while we waited which wasnt a long time. There is a lot of space for distancing. Paperwork was fast (and you can do this online before coming in office so that its faster) Her doctor explained everything and was so lovely. They brushed her teeth and made her feel comfortable. I thought she would be scared and not cooperate but the team was so sweet and made her feel welcomed. I really can't wait for next time.

They have 2 offices. 1 in Trexlertown and 1 in Easton. The front desk/scheduler is completely unprofessional. I asked for a specific location for her next cleaning, when she was supposed to get sealants. This woman directly contradicted what the dentist said, claiming they can't do sealant at a cleaning. She also told me that trexlertown was booked very far ahead and no current openings. So I took the appointment she scheduled. Sounded to me like it would be in Easton because trexlertown was full. So I show up for the appointment today and easton is closed! I call and they tell me it was at trexlertown. I asked why didn't they tell me that?!?! They scheduled us for an hour and a half later. Then they tell me I can't go back with my autistic and anxious child because "they do the procedure in the bay." No idea what that is but I am very disappointed.

A poor experience for my seven year old daughter, overall. Weak bedside manner when working with nervous pediatrics and zero doctor-parent interaction or feedback. My only post procedure communication regarding my daughter was with a nurse/dental assistant. For the aforementioned reasons, I am unable to recommend this practice. Best, Dr. Barry DeWitt
