Childrens Dental Health isdedicated to serving your child withthe finest pediatric dental care possible. Each of our friendly and compassionate pediatric dentists has received an additional two to three years of specialized training with a focus on children. Their approach to care involves a show, tell, do method, in which each pediatric dentist is careful to first show a patient what they plan to do, and explain how or why they will do it before taking action. This ensures that children are comfortable with dental equipment and they they begin to learn the routine of what to expect at each dental visit.

Following your check-in at our front desk, your child will be escorted to one of our treatment chairs in our patient hygiene bay, where they will be able to relax, put on their (super cool!) sunglasses, and watch a movie during their check-up. The hygienist will then perform a teeth cleaning, which includes flossing, and fluoride application.

Once your childs dental cleaning is complete, one of our pediatric dentists will perform a complete examination of your childs teeth and mouth addressing any additional concerns. Your dentist will then recommend a schedule for your childs future dental visits, which can range from once every 3 to 6 months, depending on their risk level for cavities. Once your childs visit is complete, they will receive a fun prize from our kids treasure chest, as well as a dental goodie bag, which includes a child-sized toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss.

Pediatric dentists are specialists in treating the unique needs of children. A pediatric dentist has completed an additional 2-3 years of specialty training beyond dental school and treats the oral health needs of infants and children, including those with special needs. Pediatric dentists are skilled at using smaller equipment designed for a childs mouth and better understand the intricacies and importance of baby teeth in a growing child. They also focus more attention on educating patients and parents about preventive care to help children avoid complications such as decay, infection, speech problems, and cosmetic issues.

Primary, or baby, teeth are important for many reasons. Not only do they help children speak clearly and chew naturally, they also aid in forming a path that permanent teeth can follow when they are ready to erupt. It is important to remember that oral health affects more than the health of your teeth. Cavities in baby teeth cause pain and swelling that can be tremendously uncomfortable for your child. Oral infections can enter the blood stream and lead to other serious health problems. Bacteria can quickly jump from one part of the mouth to another, thus resulting in infections and cavities in new erupting adult teeth.

Were always looking for opportunities to help our patients form healthy habits at a young age! Our team loves to get involved in our community by visiting kids in surrounding school districts or attending local community events. If youre an educator or parent who would like us to visit your school or event, you can request your school visit, dental screening, or FREE virtual curriculum session below.

Thank you all for your help and care to the verge of even offering me an Uber due to unfortunate situation. Your facility (kid-friendly) , staff (professional yet caring & attentive), and operation is in the spirit of excellence. My son allowed the dentist to brush his teeth with the electric brush at his first visit there. He never allowed the previous dental office to do because so they were a bit rough. I am glad I made the switch. Thank you for all you do. Finally, a dental office that really understand children. Keep up the good work . ~Victoria

Whew, I just can't win with this place. My children's 6 month hygiene appointment was rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances ( not on me, I received a text message 5:09pm the night before). Which ok I understand things happen. The problem is I am a tractor trailer driver who took off months before, only to get that text which really threw me off. I called to make my kids appointment and was told nothing was available until December why not make some accommodations? Why not make it a priority to get these kids in ASAP. I switched to children's dental health from kids smile thinking this was a more organized children's dental office. NOPE not at all.

This place was amazing! My 5 year old son with autism loved it! He is usually afraid to meet new people and do thing they ask of him but they were so gentle and nice that he did everything they asked of him. He even asked when was he going back. Highly recommend!

If I could give a zero star review I would. We had an appointment over a week ago that was scheduled by the call center. We got a call the night before our appointment from a lady at the office saying that the call center messed up and they didn't have a spot for our appointment. While on the phone with her I asked her to confirm that this would not happen again as my daughter has a cavity and needs to be seen asap. She assured me that this was just an issue with the call center and that she works at the office and promised me she would be good to go. She rescheduled me for today at 5pm. My husband brought my 4 year old daughter and as he was waiting they told him the dentist said they could no longer take anyone else 30 mins after our appointment time. They made excuses about how it was the call centers fault when it wasn't and that they don't take new patients at 5pm. They never once offered us a new immediate appointment to make up for their error. The call center and the office team has absolutely no idea what they are doing and it is OBVIOUS.

I started bringing my lids to Children's Dental Health after years of putting up with a dentist that would constantly overbook appointments, which would have us sitting in the waiting room for hours every visit, then the staff would rush us out without any information about my kids teeth. Children's Dental Health in Springfield starts appointments on time, they're quick and the staff is super friendly and they talk with me before and after my kids are seen to see if I have any concerns and to let me know what's going on with my kids' teeth. I'm so glad I found them and made the switch!

I love this place, my daughter used to hate dental appointments, now she is excited to go, they are very nice with kids, I feel safe, they are still following COVID precautions, waiting area is fun for kids too ,only issue is that it is very hard to get an appointment before a month at least, I would definitely recommend them

Just tried this office for the first time and my son loved it!! The staff at the front desk were very professional & personable!! My little guy was super comfortable walking away from me to get his services done. I recently transferred from the Aston office and am so happy that I did!!!

IUPDATE:. They never actually called me after I posted this. Their response is not true. So I will also share that one appointment they said my daughter needed rubber bands. The next one they said they were no longer needed. Then they said she should have had them on the whole time and didn't know why she was told not to wear them. I don't know where to begin, since they are so horrible. We found out our first Orthodontist quit only when they told us that the replacement orthodontist had quit. Said they notified us. Never happened. Then, they couldn't find an orthodontist for months. Still haven't done so. My child can't get an appointment for her continued care. They said we could go to the Downingtown location or the NE Philadelphia location. Somehow, it was too difficult for them to arrange for the orthodontist to come to their Springfield location more than once. Then the Downingtown orthodontist apparently quit. Why can they not keep professionals working there? You cannot get any good answers from them. They said they would help with transferring our child to another orthodontist only to send us paperwork that they didn't even know what it said or did to our child's care. Then they didn't want to help. It has been MONTHS of frustration and the inability to speak with anyone at a higher level, and that doesn't even include the incorrect appointment reminders for when we DID get an orthodontist into the office. They can say how much they care and understand all they want, but the results and actions show they do not. DO NOT GO TO THIS ORTHODONTIST OR DENTIST. If I had one job, and it was to find an orthodontist to fill a position, I'm pretty sure I could figure out how to do it. They, apparently, cannot. Meanwhile, my child's braces sit on her teeth, extending out the time for her procedure. They are truly a horrible operation.

Office was closed upon arrival of scheduled appointment. They don't have staff and I had to take my kids to Philadelphia to get service. This place has gone down hill. Horrible.

This place is unprofessional and unorganized. On our first visit last year we were given a 6 month follow-up appointment for May 25th without anyone asking us about a date/time that was convenient or worked for our family. Fast forward to May 24th, we received a call saying if we planned to attend our appointment the next day. No reminder texts or emails before this date so we didnt know or realize we had this appt. Obviously our schedule wouldn't allow us to attend, I asked for a new appointment date at that very moment. Our new appointment was set for June 20th. The person took notes of my complaints about no texts being sent etc and said she would let the owner/Ceo know about it. Now June 13th I received a 1 week reminder text, I responded yes that I will attend my June 20th appointment. My husband shows up today June 20th and he's told there is no appointment for my children and I was called on June 17th that they were understaffed and couldn't accomodate. I never received this call nor missed this call or even heard a voice message or email with this communication. Update - I spoke to a facility manager named Carlissa. She explained how the system works and the nuances on the communications generated system. She was both calm and accommodating. We have a new appointment however I am currently looking for a new childrens dental office in the meanwhile. Fingers crossed for next month.

The office keeps booking us for appointments then canceling them leading us to push the appointments way back. When I ask them why they have no answer. This seems pretty unprofessional for a medical provider.
