Childrens Dental Health isdedicated to serving your child withthe finest pediatric dental care possible. Each of our friendly and compassionate pediatric dentists has received an additional two to three years of specialized training with a focus on children. Their approach to care involves a show, tell, do method, in which each pediatric dentist is careful to first show a patient what they plan to do, and explain how or why they will do it before taking action. This ensures that children are comfortable with dental equipment and they they begin to learn the routine of what to expect at each dental visit.

Following your check-in at our front desk, your child will be escorted to one of our treatment chairs in our patient hygiene bay, where they will be able to relax, put on their (super cool!) sunglasses, and watch a movie during their check-up. The hygienist will then perform a teeth cleaning, which includes flossing, and fluoride application.

Once your childs dental cleaning is complete, one of our pediatric dentists will perform a complete examination of your childs teeth and mouth addressing any additional concerns. Your dentist will then recommend a schedule for your childs future dental visits, which can range from once every 3 to 6 months, depending on their risk level for cavities. Once your childs visit is complete, they will receive a fun prize from our kids treasure chest, as well as a dental goodie bag, which includes a child-sized toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss.

Pediatric dentists are specialists in treating the unique needs of children. A pediatric dentist has completed an additional 2-3 years of specialty training beyond dental school and treats the oral health needs of infants and children, including those with special needs. Pediatric dentists are skilled at using smaller equipment designed for a childs mouth and better understand the intricacies and importance of baby teeth in a growing child. They also focus more attention on educating patients and parents about preventive care to help children avoid complications such as decay, infection, speech problems, and cosmetic issues.

Primary, or baby, teeth are important for many reasons. Not only do they help children speak clearly and chew naturally, they also aid in forming a path that permanent teeth can follow when they are ready to erupt. It is important to remember that oral health affects more than the health of your teeth. Cavities in baby teeth cause pain and swelling that can be tremendously uncomfortable for your child. Oral infections can enter the blood stream and lead to other serious health problems. Bacteria can quickly jump from one part of the mouth to another, thus resulting in infections and cavities in new erupting adult teeth.

Were always looking for opportunities to help our patients form healthy habits at a young age! Our team loves to get involved in our community by visiting kids in surrounding school districts or attending local community events. If youre an educator or parent who would like us to visit your school or event, you can request your school visit, dental screening, or FREE virtual curriculum session below.

My 2.5 year old daughter is super scared of the dentist. I was so appreciative and impressed with the staff there talking with her. They go out of their way to make kids comfortable and aren't afraid of a little crying. I feel my daughter pushed through her fear and was playing at the end of the visit. I appreciate this place!

I refrained from doing a review aftwr our previous visit just giving the benefit of the doubt that maybe it was an off day but it is my 3rd or 4th visit and the staff is just simply not not nice. I have a six-year-old and a 15 year old and the hygienist never even spoke to my 15 year old! She just came in and worked on her mouth without introduction or niceties. My children are not comfortable here and the staff is just not very friendly. They are apparently nicer to the parents but when they take the children in the back my children feel completely uncomfortable and my children are the kind of children who are comfortable everywhere. My 15 year old is sensible, very mature and doesn't require much so if this was noticeable to her it had to be completely intolerable.

You will wait forever!!!!! I don't understand how if I have a 9:30 appointment for my son, you are not taking him back until 10:06... how are you backed up that early in the day? And this is not the first time it's happened, it's every time!

The fact that they accept my insurance but don't know how to input information is worrisome. I gave them all the information that they needed and they still couldn't comprehend. If the front staff is incompetent, I wouldn't trust the people in the back to take care of my child's dental health. Maybe somebody at a different location will know what they're doing.
