Childrens Dental Health isdedicated to serving your child withthe finest pediatric dental care possible. Each of our friendly and compassionate pediatric dentists has received an additional two to three years of specialized training with a focus on children. Their approach to care involves a show, tell, do method, in which each pediatric dentist is careful to first show a patient what they plan to do, and explain how or why they will do it before taking action. This ensures that children are comfortable with dental equipment and they they begin to learn the routine of what to expect at each dental visit.

Following your check-in at our front desk, your child will be escorted to one of our treatment chairs in our patient hygiene bay, where they will be able to relax, put on their (super cool!) sunglasses, and watch a movie during their check-up. The hygienist will then perform a teeth cleaning, which includes flossing, and fluoride application.

Once your childs dental cleaning is complete, one of our pediatric dentists will perform a complete examination of your childs teeth and mouth addressing any additional concerns. Your dentist will then recommend a schedule for your childs future dental visits, which can range from once every 3 to 6 months, depending on their risk level for cavities. Once your childs visit is complete, they will receive a fun prize from our kids treasure chest, as well as a dental goodie bag, which includes a child-sized toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss.

Children’s Dental Health of Limerick - Pediatric dentist in Royersford, PA

Pediatric dentists are specialists in treating the unique needs of children. A pediatric dentist has completed an additional 2-3 years of specialty training beyond dental school and treats the oral health needs of infants and children, including those with special needs. Pediatric dentists are skilled at using smaller equipment designed for a childs mouth and better understand the intricacies and importance of baby teeth in a growing child. They also focus more attention on educating patients and parents about preventive care to help children avoid complications such as decay, infection, speech problems, and cosmetic issues.

Primary, or baby, teeth are important for many reasons. Not only do they help children speak clearly and chew naturally, they also aid in forming a path that permanent teeth can follow when they are ready to erupt. It is important to remember that oral health affects more than the health of your teeth. Cavities in baby teeth cause pain and swelling that can be tremendously uncomfortable for your child. Oral infections can enter the blood stream and lead to other serious health problems. Bacteria can quickly jump from one part of the mouth to another, thus resulting in infections and cavities in new erupting adult teeth.

Were always looking for opportunities to help our patients form healthy habits at a young age! Our team loves to get involved in our community by visiting kids in surrounding school districts or attending local community events. If youre an educator or parent who would like us to visit your school or event, you can request your school visit, dental screening, or FREE virtual curriculum session below.

The long wait times are quite absurd! I went here twice and both times the appointment took over an hour and my son saw the hygienist and dentist for 5 minutes total. My most recent appointment was at 9am and they open at 8am. Not sure how they're already so far behind on patients after just opening other than simply overbooking patients. I'll be finding a new dentist. The employees are kind but the wait is incredibly frustrating that it's hard to be nice.

I'm usually pretty patient but the wait time is unacceptable here. Going on 2 hours for one kid to get a cleaning. There are people packed in the waiting room and nowhere to sit. Learn how to not overschedule. It's every time. It also smells so badly of chemicals I feel nauseous. Never again

The staff is really helpful. Being a new patient it's sometimes very overwhelming to fill out no. Of forms but their staff made this step stress free and quick. I will definitely recommend their limerick branch.

Arrived on time for my appointment and waited almost a hour for them to just check my daughters teeth, after being there for another hour after that they wanted to schedule three months out for her to get an abscessed tooth out when they could have done it that same day. Asked to speak with the manager just to get a faster appointment. While speaking with one of the hygienist she kept cutting me off and talking while I was talking worst childrens dental ever.

Rolling your eyes at a child who has questions about the dental work that you are doing on the child was very unprofessional. If you work with children, you should try to be more friendly and enthusiastic. Whoever started on my daughter's teeth today got 0 stars for rolling her eyes. RUDE!! GET THE CHILDREN INTERESTED! The blonde that got my daughter's x rays done should show the other girl some tips on working with children. The blonde was smiley and very friendly . Thanks for your good professionalism

The doctors and staff are so wonderful and patient with my kids. The front desk ladies are pleasant and always keeping you in the loop about policies and procedures for the kiddos. The dentist's take time and explain all that was done and what needs to be done going forward with the kids dental hygiene. They are gentle with them also

Very frustrating to deal with. Husband called when office, was closed and got answering service. explained emergency situation and they said they gave us the earliest emergency appointment (3 days later). I wasn't thrilled with that so wanted to speak to on-call to see if she needed to be seen sooner. Answering service called on call and no one answered so answering service gave me on-calls # with extension. I called and left message and no one ever called me back. So next day I began calling other dentists to speak to someone. Another Dentist said my appointment should be fine so I waited and we went. When we got there I was told how a cleaning is handled with a baby. I said that we were not here for a cleaning that is was supposed to be an emergency appointment. The lady walked out and comes back saying ok we were able to get you in as an emergency. I was like What the!? We waited for an HOUR! even though I was there early for my appointment. Dentist came in and said she would need a tooth pulled and 3 caps. I was shocked and thought this was extreme. I talked to friends/family with kids for input and called 11 (yes 11) other Pediatric dentists to see about a second opinion. During these calls and actually dentist picked up the phone and said she has heard about this place being "very aggressive with their treatment plans" and to def seek another opinion. Finally got another opinion and the dentist who has kids of his own said he would absolutely NOT pull or cap the teeth and that its totally unnecessary. The teeth will be closely monitored but with no pain and no deeper damage to just file it down. Please go with your gut. If you think the treatment plan you receive is aggressive get a second opinion. Your kids more than likely don't need to be sedated for a surgery that is completely unnecessary. We will not be returning to this practice. I'm scared to see the bill they are going to throw at me for an emergency visit was was 3 days later and I had to wait over an hour with a baby and they had the appointment wrong and did not get an apology. I also can't believe how many comments there are of similar issues! This is extremely concerning. I wonder how many parents are just going with the flow and shelling out tons of money for no reason.

So thankful for Children's Dental Health for their quick response last week when my son had an after-hours dental emergency. They thoroughly evaluated the situation, eased my mind and recommended the next steps to ensure my son would get the best care. When we visited the office for our appointment the following day, Dr. Chandni and her whole staff were very professional and caring of his needs. Thank you Children's Dental Health of Limerick!

My daughter had a chipped tooth and this location had the earliest appointment available. Even though we live about 40 minutes away, it was well worth the drive! Exceptional staff, extremely friendly, and very professional. They took care of my daughter's tooth and eased all her fears of the dentist. Their attention to patient's needs and obvious love for children is reflected in their work. Now she only wants to go this location and for the first time looking forward to seeing the dentist. Thank you so much!
