Childrens Dental Health isdedicated to serving your child withthe finest pediatric dental care possible. Each of our friendly and compassionate pediatric dentists has received an additional two to three years of specialized training with a focus on children. Their approach to care involves a show, tell, do method, in which each pediatric dentist is careful to first show a patient what they plan to do, and explain how or why they will do it before taking action. This ensures that children are comfortable with dental equipment and they they begin to learn the routine of what to expect at each dental visit.

Following your check-in at our front desk, your child will be escorted to one of our treatment chairs in our patient hygiene bay, where they will be able to relax, put on their (super cool!) sunglasses, and watch a movie during their check-up. The hygienist will then perform a teeth cleaning, which includes flossing, and fluoride application.

Once your childs dental cleaning is complete, one of our pediatric dentists will perform a complete examination of your childs teeth and mouth addressing any additional concerns. Your dentist will then recommend a schedule for your childs future dental visits, which can range from once every 3 to 6 months, depending on their risk level for cavities. Once your childs visit is complete, they will receive a fun prize from our kids treasure chest, as well as a dental goodie bag, which includes a child-sized toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss.

Children’s Dental Health of Exton - Pediatric dentist in Exton, PA

Pediatric dentists are specialists in treating the unique needs of children. A pediatric dentist has completed an additional 2-3 years of specialty training beyond dental school and treats the oral health needs of infants and children, including those with special needs. Pediatric dentists are skilled at using smaller equipment designed for a childs mouth and better understand the intricacies and importance of baby teeth in a growing child. They also focus more attention on educating patients and parents about preventive care to help children avoid complications such as decay, infection, speech problems, and cosmetic issues.

Primary, or baby, teeth are important for many reasons. Not only do they help children speak clearly and chew naturally, they also aid in forming a path that permanent teeth can follow when they are ready to erupt. It is important to remember that oral health affects more than the health of your teeth. Cavities in baby teeth cause pain and swelling that can be tremendously uncomfortable for your child. Oral infections can enter the blood stream and lead to other serious health problems. Bacteria can quickly jump from one part of the mouth to another, thus resulting in infections and cavities in new erupting adult teeth.

Were always looking for opportunities to help our patients form healthy habits at a young age! Our team loves to get involved in our community by visiting kids in surrounding school districts or attending local community events. If youre an educator or parent who would like us to visit your school or event, you can request your school visit, dental screening, or FREE virtual curriculum session below.

The wait time is killing.. and not just once/occasional. I had to wait on both the appointments I had till now. On the 1st day, the appointment I had was at 8am and 2nd appointment was at 11am. At the 2nd appointment, I went to the front desk to ask about the wait time and the response was that there were only 2 chairs availabile and they will call when one is free and cleanedup. When I reached for my appointment, there were atleast 4-5 kids already in the waiting area. Does that mean, all those kids were waiting for these 2 chairs?!!! If so, thats truly inefficient scheduling. The least they should do is to call ahead and let us know that they are running late - if thats what is going on.

We used to LOVE this place. Dr. Hilda and her staff were wonderful! Since Children's Dental Health bought them up and Dr. Hilda left, this place is an absolute disgrace. You cannot even contact the actual office, instead you are forwarded to a call center that manages all Children's Dental Health offices. Exton's new front office is rude and completely unwilling to help. So sad. Avoid this place.

Find a new dentist. I've had multiple issues with them trying to figure out insurance. During our last attempt at an appointment in August the receptionist left us sitting in the waiting room 30 minutes after our appointment. I only was acknowledged when I finally asked what was going on. I was told they were "missing insurance information"... Do you mean the insurance information that you've had for years and have billed all of our other appointments to?? Her answer to that was ...well we should have checked this out before your appointment....and apparently they dropped the ball. I left a vm for the billing department that night to get answers on what happened and I never received a call back. I am now getting calls from them confirming that we have an appointment tomorrow - which I never booked. When I stated that "No, I do not have an appointment", Morgan put me on hold for over 6 mins. I finally hung up and called the general number to make sure I wasn't going to get charged for a "missed appointment" - even though it was one that I never booked. During that call, Morgan called back to tell me that they have figured out my insurance and we can keep the appointment.... Too late, we've moved on to a much, much, much more competent dentist...and I'd suggest others should as well.

They do not communicate. At all. They change things last minute, force you to return to the office an excessive number of times, and Barely talk to the parents, even of young children.

Pretty bad experience. We had scheduled this appointment well in advance... and still waited 2 hours! This practice scheduled both procedures and routine dental check up in the same day... seems inefficient and disrespectful to waiting families. After waiting.... They took my kids back.... I never saw the dentist... never spoke to the dentist and a technician informed me my kid needed something done. Totally Incredibly unprofessional. If you can't handle the patient load appropriately.... Don't book customers this way. First and last appointment!

Please do not send you child to this office! I was told that my son needed to get a crown, although he has had regular check ups and cleanings with this office, I'm not sure how these cavities were not caught sooner so he would not have to get any crowns. During our appointment to get his crown I was not allowed to go back with him. My son is 4 years old!! After expressing my concern the staff and dentist gave me know reassurance or made me feel comfortable that my son would be ok. I was told their procedure room was too small and they could not accommodate me sitting with my child. My son was nervous about the procedure and I wanted to be with him so he would feel safe. After explaining my concern I was told children "do better" without a parent. The staff has no compassion at all! My experience with this office has not been good and wish I would have switched sooner! They use a call center that does not speak English very well, so even making an appointment has been difficult. You and your child deserve a better experience then what this office can offer.

What a great place and very nice service here. The dentist and all the staff are so friendly. Completely opposite from other experiences we have had In The area.

Ugh, where to start, 3 different names of the business in 5 years, part of a 20+ practice conglomerate, terrible service, very high turn over rate for employees, its not a place to take your child if your ever think you may have the need to speak with a live person or need immediate assistance. Go find a business that actually wants to care for your child's dental health and doesnt just want your money.

We have been coming here for years and have never had one issue with the place. The whole place runs like a well oiled machine from check in all the way thru to when you leave. Plus we have never waited ling and the whole process is fairly quick. It's very clean and the staff is friendly yet professional. Love this place!

Now that science has shown, through innumerable studies, big and small, that masks are not effective in preventing transmission, I would like masks to be made optional. Masks have many negative effects, specially on children. Thank you

I do not recommend this office. I brought my two children here for a few years and wish I had switched sooner. My daughter is 8, she had pain a few weeks after having a filling done. I brought her back to the office for them to check the tooth and I was told everything was fine. After being told that my 5 year old son needed to go to the surgical center to be put to sleep for X-rays and crowns we decided to get a second opinion. We went to another office who was able to get my sons X-rays with no trouble and he only needed two tiny fillings, no crowns. Took my daughter to the new office as well and was told there was an infection under the tooth they had filled due to drilling too deeply into her nerve. She had to have the tooth pulled. Had we let it go much longer, I was told her adult tooth would have been affected. I will never return to this office and recommend you go elsewhere. They are very quick to suggest crowns/surgery and unnecessary work and it is unacceptable that they caused her an infection from an improper filling and then failed to recognize their mistake.

The receptionist, techs, and dentist, were great with my 4yos first time at the dentist. Laid back, very nice to us both, and I would recommend them highly. We got the best care I could ask for. Oh and the prizes were awesome lol

We drive from Pottstown to Exton, just because this office is so wonderful. My 2 youngest are autistic so getting them to lay back in a chair while a person in a mask, with a bright light above them, tinkers around in their mouths, is not an ideal situation for us. They are so patient, take the time to explain to my kids what they're planning on doing, and no sooner are my overly anxious angels laying back with their mouths barely open then I hear, "done! Looks pretty good... random suggestions and advice... we'll see you in 6 months!" For the kids with extreme anxiety, they might not be excessively thorough. It's not an option. They're playing the long game. Make it fun, simple, and quick at 8 years old and, in the future, I won't have to use my entire body to wrestle a 16 year old, twice my size, into a dentist chair and ensure a traumatizing experience. They always make sure to end it on a good note (something that is very important in the autism world). I recommend them to anyone with a child who has hesitation about the dentist. TLDR: they're miracle workers!

A few months ago I called to see if this practiced accepted my child's dental insurance because it wasn't a common one. The person I spoke to on the phone said they did so I made an appointment. I got to the office and it turns out they didn't. The office staff was kind about it but I wasted PTO time to take my child to an appointment that wouldn't be happening. To make matters worse, they've entered me into their marketing system and now I'm constantly receiving calls and emails from them with no way to get myself off of their list. It's been months and I want nothing to do with this practice.

My sweet Zoe had her second dentist apt today! She's 2 and needless to say- I was nervous. Kathy was our nurse, who is absolutely amazing. She 100,000% made this experience what it was. She brushed Zoe's teeth so well, and even flossed. Not only that but she was kind, patient, and was very interactive with zoe. The experience in a whole was enjoyable. This actually blew me away. I hope we get the pleasure of seeing Kathy for all of Zoe's visits
