Childrens Dental Health isdedicated to serving your child withthe finest pediatric dental care possible. Each of our friendly and compassionate pediatric dentists has received an additional two to three years of specialized training with a focus on children. Their approach to care involves a show, tell, do method, in which each pediatric dentist is careful to first show a patient what they plan to do, and explain how or why they will do it before taking action. This ensures that children are comfortable with dental equipment and they they begin to learn the routine of what to expect at each dental visit.

Following your check-in at our front desk, your child will be escorted to one of our treatment chairs in our patient hygiene bay, where they will be able to relax, put on their (super cool!) sunglasses, and watch a movie during their check-up. The hygienist will then perform a teeth cleaning, which includes flossing, and fluoride application.

Once your childs dental cleaning is complete, one of our pediatric dentists will perform a complete examination of your childs teeth and mouth addressing any additional concerns. Your dentist will then recommend a schedule for your childs future dental visits, which can range from once every 3 to 6 months, depending on their risk level for cavities. Once your childs visit is complete, they will receive a fun prize from our kids treasure chest, as well as a dental goodie bag, which includes a child-sized toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss.

Pediatric dentists are specialists in treating the unique needs of children. A pediatric dentist has completed an additional 2-3 years of specialty training beyond dental school and treats the oral health needs of infants and children, including those with special needs. Pediatric dentists are skilled at using smaller equipment designed for a childs mouth and better understand the intricacies and importance of baby teeth in a growing child. They also focus more attention on educating patients and parents about preventive care to help children avoid complications such as decay, infection, speech problems, and cosmetic issues.

Primary, or baby, teeth are important for many reasons. Not only do they help children speak clearly and chew naturally, they also aid in forming a path that permanent teeth can follow when they are ready to erupt. It is important to remember that oral health affects more than the health of your teeth. Cavities in baby teeth cause pain and swelling that can be tremendously uncomfortable for your child. Oral infections can enter the blood stream and lead to other serious health problems. Bacteria can quickly jump from one part of the mouth to another, thus resulting in infections and cavities in new erupting adult teeth.

Were always looking for opportunities to help our patients form healthy habits at a young age! Our team loves to get involved in our community by visiting kids in surrounding school districts or attending local community events. If youre an educator or parent who would like us to visit your school or event, you can request your school visit, dental screening, or FREE virtual curriculum session below.

The hygienist looked at me like I had 2 heads when I said I want my child's teeth done w a hand scaler instead of the sonic scaler which in my opinion isn't as affective. They just want to get ur kid in and out they really aren't cleaning teeth here!

If nothing else tells you how great this place is, let me just say this: my daughter literally cannot wait to go to the dentist because they are so amazing there and go above and beyond to make your child comfortable. So the day of our appointments, she keeps bugging me is a time to go yet? Is it time to go yet?! IS IT TIME TO GO YET?!!!

The entire staff was kind to my son and thoughtful about the reason for our visit. My 2 year old knocked his tooth out while playing. The staff was compassionate, patient and understanding even when I wanted to literally cry about his tooth. The office itself was visually a child-friendly atmosphere with kid movies playing and they gave him a couple toys; that definitely softened the blow of his first, dental appointment. Looking forward to returning for his next visit!

We switched to this dentist a few months ago when our old dentist scheduled my one son's appointment for 3:30PM for dental work and sat there for over an hour and a half waiting for my son to go back. When I questioned the last dentist's receptionist, she told me that they were waiting for a room to open up which there was a room open if they were able to take at least 5 kids back that had appointments scheduled after my son's appointment. Since switching to this dentist, they have been so fabulous! They are super friendly, very welcoming to our entire family, and are always on top of things. We had two different appointments today: one for 3 of my children for a cleaning and another appointment schedule an hour and a half later for dental work for my son. They took my son back right after they took back my other 3 children so we didn't have to wait a long time for the 2nd appointment to start. I highly recommend this dentist for your children!! Thank you for making out experience so much better than the last dentist we had!!

I can't believe the positive reviews here. This is by far the most unprofessional dental office I've experienced. Come on people, you deserve better. I'm not sure the actual dentists (owners) know how bad the front business office is being run. Last month they canceled our appointment due to staffing issues and the temp dentist was not in Delta Dental's network. I'm not sure why this was our problem. We have good dental insurance. Today the rescheduled appointment was canceled again at 9:30 AM to cancel the 4:30 appointment due to another staff issue. Shouldn't we be a priority? The front desk staff called from a personal phone with a listing from Catasauqua, PA. Where is that? Not near Aston. Like we are going to recognize and answer that call. I agree that the front desk staff really wasn't emphatic. Time to move on. UPDATE: So we found a new dentist but needed my children's medical records transferred over. My wife filled out the necessary forms and was assured they'd be sent to our new dentist for his in process appointment. Guess what. Nope, the were never sent and the new office receptionist said she'd handle it and give them a call. This was 8:30 AM. After over an hour of waiting and resending forms, They never sent them. My wife calls and they now state that a manager has to handle the transfer. They give us his email, and still no transfer.... The receptionist at our new dentist said this this the most unprofessional experience she's ever been associated with. Sooo, you can take your apologies and statements about learning from this to train your staff and I pray, no one supports this business. Seriously, I'm biting my tongue here as I write and seriously warning everyone, this place is incredibly bad and please don't leave to your childrens health in their hands. This review is for the Aston office but if it's part of this network, there are plenty of pedatric dentists that are trustworthy. My gosh.... They should be ashamed of how this business is managed.

I don't even know where to begin my children have been coming to this office for the last eleven years and In the past year it has really gone down hill I have a son that is autistic and the girls that use to work here did great with him in this past year not only the women at the front check in seem to have no knowledge of what they are doing the wait time has exhausted anything that would b reasonable the last time we were here my son had a seizure about a week before our scheduled visit so they said I had to get a doctor note filled out by the neurologist saying he is able to be seen as if this isn't the same child who has been here for 8 years and the neurologist herself said she isn't sure why they would do that if he did have a seizure they would handle as they have been trained to but further more my daughter was in the back being seen when they said my son couldn't be seen so they had me filling out new patient forms which now if I am trying to make sure my son doesn't run around the office totally willl not b able to do and I told the blonde heavy set lady I was done with her today so they proceeded to make my daughter leave the back in the middle of her cleaning because I didn't fill out a new patient form for someone who has been a patient since 2010-2011 so with that I spoke with the office manager what a joke that was he says the women told him I yanked my daughter from the back and made her leave which later on in conversation only after I asked him to get the video surveillance of the office turned into he misunderstood the women and what they told him that they said I wouldn't fill out the new patient form which I asked him when did this form begin he said about three years ago n yet it was so detrimental that day to be filled out after have multiple visits of not filling it out that they kicked my daughter out of the middle of her cleaning so here we are back to the office today just because I wanted to see how important this new patient form is actually needed for a child to be seen and as to none of my surprise didn't have to be filled out at all let's get back to being professional childrens dental of Aston and today we r here over 50 min which we r in the back room waiting on the doctor for a half an hour already I wrote this whole review while waiting for the doctor none the less we will never return to the Aston office ever again after today and the visit prior truly disappointed and I asked for the general manager to call me never happened I see why this office has went downhill so much seems like nobody cares at all beware Delaware county parents beware

I went to this office twice, the first time I went the receptionist tone was just really nasty. The dentist herself was nice so that's why I returned. The second time I went only the person who called my son was nice. The second time I was bringing two kids to be seen. My one year old and my autistic 5yr old. Granted my 5yr did not want to sit to be seen cuz he don't know how to control his emotions yet but they wouldn't even see my one year old. His allergies had his nose running a lil and they told me to bring him back when he's not sick which I told them he wasn't. That dentist was really snobby. I wanted to stay with my 5yr old and I heard her make a comment to the lady who called us oh how she gonna do that with the baby just real nasty. I had someone with me to help me and she would've known that had she asked me. Then they told me I had to take my 5yr to their surgery center cuz he wouldn't sit still for them and I had paperwork to fill out for the surgery center which I sat there and filled all of the paperwork just to get to the last page and it states which insurance it do not take and that insurance so happens to be my son insurance. I filled the paperwork out for nothing. That page should've been first.

My 3 year old has his first appointment at this location today. We were pleased with the cleaning, helpful tips, a movie playing, and the prizes at the end were a big hit. I wasn't pleased with the front desk. They were not friendly at all and were very short with me. No greeting whatsoever. They need to work on their customer service, especially at a children's dentist office.
