Dr. Mark is a pediatric dentist, he specializes in the treatment and prevention of dental disease, as well as the overall oral health of children. Through extra years of schooling, training, experience, and certification, a pediatric dentist like Dr. Mark is uniquely qualified to treat the dental needs of infants, children, and adolescents.
A pediatric patient not only has a different dentition than adults but he/she may have specific dental and behavioral needs that are unique to a child. These needs may include orthodontics, dental sealants, fluoride applications or home treatments, or just simply education in oral hygiene. In addition to treating existing dental problems, our office focuses on prevention through patient and parent education. We like to feel that you and your child do not come to our office to have their cavities fixed but rather to prevent them. Our mission is to provide all of the educational tools necessary for our patients to enjoy a cavity-free future.
Dr. Mark J. Steinmetz grew up in Kimberly, Wisconsin. He attended the University of Wisconsin for his undergraduate studies and received his dental education at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Mark completed his pediatric dental training at Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin while studying for his Masters of Science degree from Marquette School of Dentistry in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Mark is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist.
Dental care for children is an important part of their total health program. We believe that caring for your childs teeth should not become a financial burden for you. In the event that full payment is not possible at the time services are rendered, we have some payment methods that may assist you.
We are happy that you have dental insurance for your child. Since there are many insurance companies and they all cover at different rates, it is very confusing for the dental office and the parent to know what insurance will actually pay. To keep things as simple as possible and less confusing, our office policy is to charge the same fee to all patients so it is as fair as possible.
We will accept payment from your insurance company, but insurance usually only pays a portion of the cost. Since this portion can range from 25% to 100%, we will give you an estimate of your portion based on our experience working with your company. This means that after your insurance has paid, you may be required to pay an additional payment or you may receive a refund. We will be glad to send a predetermination upon request; however, dental insurance companies are currently responding in 30-90 days.
We are pleased to offer electronic billing to our families with dental insurance. With your complete subscriber information, we can electronically bill the primary insurance carrier the same day as services are rendered. In order to successfully process a claim, the following information is necessary: the subscriber's name, address, birth date, social security number, employer, and insurance companys name and address.

Love Children's family dental and Dr. Mark. My kids have seen him since my they were two and now are teenagers both with braces. The kids have always asked when they get to go to the dentist. Never a tear or a complaint.

My son had a sedation dental appointment for fillings on Nov 1st, 2022 at 9:50am, he was done by around 11am, we went home, he was a little under for the rest of the day, the next morning he started a little of a running nose, I phoned someone in the clinic and asked, was it normal for my son to have a running nose? Could it be a side effect from the anesthesia? The person I was talking to said, she wouldn't be surprised if my son got a bit of a running nose, he should be ok in the next 24 hours, if not then he could be having a common cold. 14 hours after I phoned the clinic, my son was getting worse, running nose, nasal congested and broke out of a fever at around 2am and he was shaken real bad, and yup, he caught the cold, possibly from the dental clinic. Because that was the only place we've been to. Now it's been 1 week exactly and both my boys got the cold and they're still sick. Took my youngest son (5 months old) to the ER on Sat Nov 5th, at 11pm, because he was sick too. Got discharged just after midnight on that same night, they could not do anything because it was/is a viral illness (a commom cold) and it is contagious. Kind of disappointed that both my sons got sick.

Great experience. My 7 yr old daughter had some negative experiences at other dentists so she was very nervous about attending the appointment. Dr. Mark Steinmetz and staff did a fantastic job of making her (and her parents) feel comfortable throughout the process with great communication the entire time. The work was completed in a timely manor and my daughter actually stated she was having fun lol. Thank you for making what we thought was going to be a nerve wracking experience into an enjoyable one. Highly recommended!

I was referred from our local, small-town dentist to a DIFFERENT pediatric dentist in the valley for four cavities located between my daughter's upper and lower baby-teeth molars, and after receiving a 5K hospital sedation quote for my youngest daughter, I sought a second opinion. Childrens's Dental Health Center gave me and my daughter personalized care and options at a fraction of the cost and double the care, compassion, and kindness. For a hard working, blue collar family, this was the absolute best health care experience I've ever had. I would not hesitate to share with any parent that this is a phenomenal practice with dedicated, knowledgeable, and helpful staff!

This place doesn't want your business! Go somewhere else. The lady on the phone wouldn't take my member ID to get my Son in yet they take both Blue Cross and Humana. Which we have. And theyre taking new clients. Meanwhile my 4 year old is sitting at home with a swollen mouth and a fever. Who's ever working your phones on Monday April 18th at 9:30am needs to be fired. They clearly want to be paid to sit around and do nothing.

The staff and Dr Mark are super people and very professional. Our children are very challenging. Everyone here treat them very well!!! I wish we would have found this place a LONG time ago. Would have saved us many.....(ready for this?) toothaches. Highly recommend AAAAA+++++

We have been going to Dr. Mark for several years. My son is 8 and has Autism. The staff are so patient with him. Dr. Mark knows his stuff and is always willing to take the extra time to answer any questions we have about our son's Oral health.

My 2 year old was having severe mouth pains, after a trip to the ER that got us nowhere, we were desperate to find answers. I called the children's dental health center as soon as they opened on Monday morning, and they got us in within 30 minutes and had an answer for us just as fast. Doctor Steinmetz was incredibly patient and caring, which was just what we needed.

We have brought two of our children into see Dr. Mark Steinmetz, and I have to say that I am very thankful we did. He is a very patient dentist and takes the time to get to know you and your children. My son had an infection underneath one of the crowns put on his tooth and Dr. Steinmetz came in to the office just for him and I the day before new year to remove his tooth, and I truly appreciate it! We got to meet his daughter as well and she was just as kind. Dr. Steinmetz also did oral surgery on our 2 year old daughter, last week and made her feel comfortable as they put her under for anesthesia as I couldn't be in the room with her because of Covid 19 precautionary measures. When the procedure was all done he came out into the waiting room and sat with me and explained what was all done and how our daughter was doing, and asked how the rest of the family was as well. He made a very stressful last couple months a lot less stressful and I wanted to thank him for it. I would highly recommend this dentist as they have the feeling of a small town dentist something lost in the world we live in today! Thank you again Dr. Steinmetz were truly greatful.

My family has been a patience of Dr. Mark Steinmetz and Children's Dental health for over 3 years now, and it has been a completely amazing experience. The kids love him and his staff, as their demeanor and approach with the kids is calming and educational. All of their staff from when you walk in the door are customer-focused. Any and all questions are always answered. I have complete confidence my kids oral health needs are in the best hands possible!
