Dr. Chris Rowland has been practicing pediatric dentistry since 2000. He attended Union University for his undergraduate studies and earned his dental degree from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. He went on to complete a pediatric residency at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Rowland is a Board Certified pediatric dentist and director of the dental clinic at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Dr. J.B. Selecman received his dental degree and completed his pediatric dental residency from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. Dr. Selecman joined the practice in 2006 and as of 2009 became a partner in the practice. Dr. Selecman is a Board Certified pediatric dentist. He is also a published author and an active member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Christian Medical and Dental Association. He participates in the Christian Medical and Dental Association's mission trips to Latin America to perform dental services for local churches. He and his wife havethree children-- a daughter and twin boys.
Dr. Cary Daniel received his dental degree from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry and has been in practice since 2002. He lectures to the public and is a member of the American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Society, Memphis Dental Society, and the Christian Medical and Dental Association. Dr. Daniel also has a Masters Degree of Divinity and works two days a week at St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital. Dr. Daniel participates in mission work in Africa, Central America and the Ukraine. In his spare time, he enjoys golf and coaching high school basketball. He and his wife have three children, two girls and a boy.
Dr. Melody is originally from Germantown, TN. She attended the University of Tennessee for her undergraduate studies and earned her dental degree from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. She completed her pediatric dental residency in Tucson, AZ. During this time, she received the Pugh award by achieving the top 3% of scores in the nation on the pediatric dental board exam.
Dr. Melody is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Memphis Dental Society. Dr. Melody is active outside of dentistry with a growing family, church, and various non-profits. Dr. Melody's goal in practice is to have every child love coming to the dentist.

Our first two visits were great but I felt rushed today and had more of a conversation with the assistant than the dentist. I'm told that my child will need to be sedated because she has 4 cavities. I'm very nervous about that. Dr. Rowland is sending us to talk with another dentist in their practice but I'm not sure why. I'm fearful of dentists but I don't want my child to be that way. I will see what happens during our next consultation.

I wish i could give more than 5 stars! After being told that my 5 year old had 12 teeth that needed to be capped, I came here for a second opinion. First of all, the staff is awesome! We saw Dr. Selecman and he told me that we only needed caps done on 4 teeth. I am against IV sedation and he was completely fine with that! My daughter had her teeth fixed today and she did great, No problems at all!! Dr. Selecman is the best! I have never felt more comfortable and at ease with any other Dr! I highly recommend Dr Selecman and we will definitely bring our other daughter to be a continuous patient of his. I couldn't be happier with them being our family pediatric dentist. If only I could be a patient too!!

Children's Dental Center was a wonderful experience for our family. I have 4 kids who got check ups ages 5-12. Each was given kind excellent care that helped them (and me) remain calm. My 5 year old kept telling me she was nervous while we waited to be seen but by the time we were done she said it had been "no problem". The extra follow up we needed was quickly scheduled to fit our time table and everyone was so cheerful and kind throughout the whole process. We are so grateful to all who helped us and we definitely recommend Children's Dental Center!!!

Excellent care from our hygienist, Cheryl, and the dentist. Cheryl was extremely personable, professional, and thoughtful. We normally see Dr. Selecman (who is wonderful), but saw Dr. Daniels who was great too! Highly recommend!

We are from the Memphis area, but currently do not live here. We were in town for a short time and found out my son may have to get his tooth pulled during a cleaning with a different dentist. My general dentist was not comfortable addressing the issue and said we needed a pediatric dentist, so I contacted Dr. Selectman's office and explained our issue basically begging for help as we were about to leave for the summer. Their office was so gracious and kind and fit us in! Dr. Selecman put my nerves at ease and was just amazing. We were in a out and plan on visiting him next time we are in town. Their office is CRAZY busy, but everyone working there was so kind and didn't show an ounce of stress. Highly recommend if you need a pediatric dentist in the Memphis area!
