Pediatric dentist Dr. Michelle Edwards provides gentle, quality children's dentistry for healthy growing smiles. Dental services for kids includedental emergencies, dental sealants, fillings & crowns, flouride treatments, importance of baby teeth, mouth guards,post-treatment care, preventive cleanings, sedation & anesthesia, andspace maintenance. Dr. Edwards treats infants, toddlers and children in Fishers, IN. Also serving Indianapolis, Noblesville, Greenfield IN, Carmel IN, Westfield IN & Hancock County IN.

For Dr. Michelle Edwards, pediatric dentistry is about more than dental health; its about creating a pleasant visit to the dental office promoting an establishment of trust and confidence in children that will last a lifetime. My position is to help build a dental home, valuing prevention, early detection and treatment of dental disease in children, she says.

Dr. Edwards grew up in Munster, IN, around multiple family members who worked in medical and dental fields. She attended University of South Carolina to attain a BA in psychology, and completed a 2-year hospital residency and obtained her Masters degree in Pediatric Dentistry from Indiana University at the Riley Hospital for Children in 2003, after which she served as an associate at a dental office on the south side of Indianapolis before deciding to start her own pediatric practice.

As a child, Dr. Edwards remembers trips to the dentist as unpleasant. Our dentist was a big, unfriendly man with large hands, she says. I didnt like going to the dentist at all. My goal with my own practice is to make it as place where children, even if they come in with fears or a nervous feeling, can leave with a smile on their face and anticipation of their next visit. Her patients and their parents affectionately call her Dr. Michelle.

In professional circles, Dr. Edwards holds a Diplomate fromThe American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, is a Fellow Member of The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and a member of both the American Dental Association and the Indiana Society of Pediatric Dentistry.

When she isnt making her dental office more fun than the local Chuckie Cheese (according to a pint sized patient), Dr. Edwards is spending time with her periodontist husband, Michael and their three children at their Indianapolis home. The family enjoys playing golf together, fishing, sitting on the beach, and movie nights.

Dr. Rebecca Rafla is from Louisville, KY but has found a new home right here in Indianapolis. She attended Samford University in Birmingham, AL where she obtained a BS in music, and she received her DMD at the University of Kentucky. She joined our team after completing a 2-year residency and Master's degree in Pediatric Dentistry from Indiana University at Riley Hospital for Children and is thrilled to join Dr. Michelle and the CDC team.

Dr. Rafla has always loved working with children in any setting, but her greatest passion is offering children and adolescents a fun, safe, and educational experience at the dentist. She believes in providing compassionate care for all of her patients and their families. 'I desire to create lasting relationships with my patients and their parents by listening to their unique goals and working together to achieve them,' she says. Dr. Rafla wants everyone to love going to the dentist!

In her free time, Dr. Rafla enjoys performing jazz around the Indianapolis area, investing in her church, and trying out new restaurants. She loves to host friends and family and is always looking for a new recipe to share!

Dr. Dan grew up in Indianapolis and attended Wabash College for his undergraduate. While at Wabash, every spring he travel to South and Central America with a global health group during Dental Health Awareness Week to help communities in need. The impact he had educating and treating children in these rural communities inspired him to pursue a career as a pediatric dentist. He earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from Bostons Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2019. He returned to Indianapolis to be closer to family while earning his Masters of Science in Dentistry from IU School of Dentistry Riley Childrens. His comprehensive approach to oral treatment care starts by looking beyond oral health, to better understand why the current oral condition exists.

Dr. Dan is a proud member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), Indiana Society of Pediatric Dentistry (ISPD), American Dental Association (ADA), and the Indiana Dental Association (IDA). In his free time, he loves to spend time with his wife, daughters and Labrador, Ace. Enjoys snow skiing, fishing, going on bike rides and pool days with the family.

Children's Dental Center (located at 116th & Cumberland in Fishers) has been my girls' pediatric dentist for about 5 years now. We LOVE them! The entire staff from the receptionists to dental hygienists have always been so friendly & gentle. I always know how much I will pay before services -- they make working with insurance easy. The facility is clean and bright. There are thoughtful childrens' amenities throughout (own entrance, video games in waiting area, little potty in the bathroom). My girls like the token + prize tower at the end of their visit!

Dr. Edwards demonstrates knowledge and compassion in explaining care to her patients. Even following up after hours to personally talk through treatment plans with nervous parents. Excellent experience with this office and Dr. Edwards.

Do not go here. It was a traumatic and horribly unprofessional experience for my child from the first moment to the last. This office spent all of their money on the waiting room area and not on dental equipment, training, and bedside manner. I did not care for Dr. Edwards and her condescending tone nor Sam, her assistant who was rude, unprofessional, and provincial to say the very least. We received barbaric childcare that they justified as the "norm" for pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Rebecca and Olivia was so amazing with my daughter. They were absolutely the best. It was my daughter's first time getting a cavity filled and she was very nervous. They were calming, patient and made her feel very relax! It was the best experience we ever had! Hands down the best children doctor in town!

Our first visit with our 18 month old went very well! He loved the animals throughout the office and waiting room and so warmed up right away. Dr. Dan was great with him. The staff was all nice and helpful. The practice has some illustrated books to help young children learn about teeth brushing and gave us one to take home, which is such a great idea! Feeling confident about our choice to come here.

Miss Jamie, Miss Chloe, and Dr Dan are rockstars!! I have a special needs son who is quite a handful. Really resists the whole dental experience. They spend so much time figuring out and trying new strategies that can help him tolerate any kind of cleaning. He is 14 and has been to other dentists for over 10 years. Children's Dental Center was finally able to get his first x-rays! They are so willing to go above and beyond to help him be successful. I am just elated! We drive 3 hours from northern Indiana just to be able to get the best care and dental experience for my son. I could not recommend them more.

We are so thankful for the team of Drs. at CDC. Dr. Dan, Mrs Micah and Ms Janna were absolutely amazing with our family and our care. My daughter has a fear and anxiety of dental treatments and they went above and beyond to help her and take care of her. We really love bringing all 3 of our children to the CDC on Fishers.

We took our special needs son Jordan to Children's Dental Center and he had his first experience at the dentist today!! It has taken a lot to get to this point. He does not like things in his mouth and does not sit still for long periods of time. For these reasons we have not been able to get him in to see a dentist. It was such an accomplishment to be able to bring him to Children's Dental Center!! Dr. Jamie did a wonderful job working with Jordan and getting him introduced to the tools. She allowed him to play with the gloves and take breaks using commands like my turn and waiting hands, then counting to 10 while Introducing each tool, brushing his teeth, flossing etc. She took time with Jordan helping him get comfortable with the process. I was so proud and overjoyed he did so well. I am so thankful that Children's Dental Center knows how to work with special needs kids!! He did so well, even better than I thought he would do and had a wonderful experience!! Positive news no cavities and teeth growing in well!!

If you are person of color, save your time and never go to this rediculas place. For a little cavity they suggested for a 4year old to go to medical and they will put her to sleep to extract 2 of her teeths and have treatment on several others. The dentist was forcefuly moving her teeth. I feel so upset that I took her to experience this awfulness. Dentist was named Rebecca.

Had an amazing visit for two of my children. I would highly recommend Dr. Rebekah. She was so incredibly sweet and did a great job distracting my daughter from some of the scary work that she had to have done on a tooth.
