Our experienced and talented dental team is committed to working with you and your child to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding dental experience every time you visit our practice.

Children’s Dental Care of Canton - General dentist in Canton, MI

Our doctors and team welcome every child with warmth, care for them with compassion and integrity, and work to ensure every visit is filled with laughter. We want kids to feel at ease in the dental environment, excited to take care of their smiles, and to have a happy and healthy life!

Everyone at Childrens Dental Care knows the importance of gaining our young patients trust. We provide painless, worry-free visits, tailored to each child, and ensure a welcoming, non-threatening environment.

In our clinic, we invite children to pick their seat and flavor of toothpaste. If they want to sit up in the chair, or stand, were okay with that. Likewise, if theyre more comfortable sitting on their parents lap, we will gladly adapt! We want kids to feel comfortable and we know that allowing them to make simple decisions makes them feel in control and decreases their anxiety.

When it comes to treatment, we use a Tell-Show-Do approach, with lots of positive reinforcement. By using everyday words, and showing children exactly what will happen, we take the unknown, which can be scary, and make it familiar and therefore safe!

We understand kids and love the energy each brings to our office! Its not unusual to find a doctor or team member crouched on the floor, chatting with a little one. Sometimes were talking about brushing and flossing, sometimes were chatting about superheroes!

Took my youngest daughter here today for the first time and I was extremely impressed. She has anxiety with the dentist and she had a great experience and left happy. The office is small but I think it's a great benefit. They have more time to be involved with their patients and aren't going to be overbooked. It was worth the 25 minute drive for me.

There is horrible communication in this office. I had been trying to take care of a bill for 4 months. Every time I tried to pay it the amount changed, I would ask why or what it was for and the front desk person would have to get someone else to figure it out or even tell me what I was paying for. This other person would never call and talk to me about it (even though I was told she would call me). I went in for an appointment for my son and was told when we got there he was going to have more work done than what we made the appointment for. After they gave my son the oral sedation medicine, they only did one out of the four things he needed. I was told that they couldn't finish the rest and that he needed to be put under general anesthesia to finish everything (which insurance doesn't cover). This appointment took 2 months to get and the next available appointment to finish the work was another 3 months. My son was complaining that his tooth hurt but there was no urgency to get him in sooner, they just let the decay get worse so that he needs more work done. The hygienist, Athena, was super nice and great with the children. Dr. June is nice when she explains things to you, she just isn't clear about what you need to schedule an appointment for. I thought I scheduled an appointment for one thing and when I got there found out it was something different. The office manager won't call you about anything yet she is the only one that does all the billing and knows what you need to pay for. They want you to come back multiple time to take care of cavities or any dental work, when it can be done in one appointment. This requires your child to have medication or gas unnecessarily and let's whatever decay they have get worse so that you have to pay for more extensive work. Unfortunately this is the only dental practice in the area that offers general anesthesia if that is what your child needs.

My 5 year old son had a tooth extraction and they have me no information about care after. No doctors note. Didn't give me the tooth or two me when to return to school and didn't call me back despite me calling over and over. I wouldn't go back.

Wonderful staff and doctor. My 3 yo is terrified of the dentist after a bad visit at another office. We were referred here for their oral surgery department and couldn't be happier. Everyone was great with my child and she left happy and no longer scared.

Amazing place, they are so good with my kids (age 3 and 6). From the front desk Fatime to the hygienist, assistants and pediatric dentist. Very thorough and professional. They address all of our concerns. The office is very clean and they make the children feel very comfortable. My children enjoyed their dental visit. Fatime at the front desk is very polite and friendly on the phone and when we arrived. Dr. June and afiya hygienist did a phenomenal job with our kids. Both are very knowledgeable and gave us lots of good oral hygiene care for the kids at home. I will recommend this pediatric dentist to all friends and family .

My son needed extensive dental work. He is nearly 7, and he had some major decay on many of his teeth due to his sensory issues and genetic factors. The dentists were able to keep him calm and relaxed during the exam, a first for us! The entire staff was beyond accommodating with our family, and scheduled a date for sedated dental work. From start to finish, the team was exceptional. They were straight-forward in what would be taking place, his recovery process, and what to expect moving forward. He had seven teeth removed and seven crowns, and he did AMAZING. Fatima and the rest of the front-desk staff quickly got us in and out, scheduling a follow-up while my son was still in surgery so we could make a quick exit. The anesthesiologists took my call the next day promptly and answered all of my questions thoroughly. The professionalism is exceptional here. We chose this dentist because they took our insurance, but this is now our forever-dentist - even with the 1 hour drive! It's totally worth it to us. Keep it up, team! We love you!

If you're a parent who wants the best for their child like most of us do I highly advise staying as far away from this dentist office as possible. My son had a dentist appointment today in which his father took him to as I was working. The appointment was at 2:00 p.m. at which point I promptly got a text message from my son's father letting me know they had made it to the dentist safe and sound. At about 2:29 I received a call from the dentist office itself. The receptionist Fatima asked me if she knew where my son and his father had gone as they were in the waiting room and suddenly disappeared and the dentist was ready to see him. As a parent this sends instant panic in my soul and I try reaching out to my son's father. Coincidentally his phone was dead so I was unable to reach him which only added to the panic. I received another call about 5 minutes later from children's dental Care again Fatima is reminding me that my son is late for his appointment and wants to know where they went. Not being understanding or empathetic to the situation at all that I am now in a sheer state of terror trying to find my son as she is informed me he has just disappeared. I asked her if she could check the parking lot to see if their car was in the parking lot maybe they had gone outside to wait. She comes back after a moment and says to me the parking lot is very small there is no car in the parking lot at this time. turns out my son and his father were both still at the dentist office never had left and my son was actually currently being seen by the dentist when this is all happening. What kind of office is so unaware of their patients where they are and who is sitting in the waiting room, that they call and tell a parent their child has disappeared from the office. I'm still in the state of shock in which there was some other way I could get this out there about such a horrible dentist office especially when it comes to one taking care of children. I hope no other parents ever have to experience the terror that was just sent my way due to this office stay clear keep your kids safe

The staff was amazing from receptionist to the whole team of doctors. They were very patient with my son and they know what they are doing and how to do it especially when the child is terrified to be there

I would advise taking your children elsewhere. There were discrepancies in what was quoted through insurance vs what they billed. We also greatly question their work and care. They gave our son a sedative plus numbed him, yet he was wailing the entire time. Regardless of what they claim as far as "everyone reacts differently," we seriously question their entire treatment plan. We tried this office out because of location, but will be taking our children elsewhere from now on.

Couldn't be happier! My 10 yr old had broken a tooth and was in a lot of discomfort. I called the office hoping they would be able to fit us in as an emergency. They were very helpful and scheduled my daughter to be seen the next day to see Dr June. I had called ahead to be aware of any Covid protocols they had in place. They requested I call when I was in the parking lot to ensure proper social distancing in the waiting room. While inside, I was thoroughly impressed with how diligent they were with proper cleaning and wearing PPE. I really appreciated knowing everyone's health and safety was top priority. My daughter was very nervous and they made her feel comfortable. I was brought into the treatment room. I was impressed with how caring and patient the doctor and all of the technicians were with my daughter. They answered all of her questions and explained each step in a friendly age appropriate way. Then encouraging her through each step. I have always been pleased with the skill and service of Children's Dental Care. I am truly thankful for them.
