Being a pediatric dentist is a great honor for me. I am able to provide care for my patients in a fun, lighthearted way daily. This, along with the lessons I am able to learn from my patients of all ages, is a true blessing. I honestly couldnt see myself doing anything else! Dr. Matt

Dr. Matt Husman, Dr. Matt to his patients, considers it a privilege to help guide girls and boys into lifelong dental patients who will fully appreciate the importance of proper oral hygiene and dental care. From helping a youngster who may be afraid or anxious and providing them with not only a helpful but enjoyable dental experience, to providing proper dental treatment to get a child out of pain or discomfort, Dr. Matt is passionate about his patients care.

Dr. Matt is originally from Rapid City, South Dakota. He earned his undergraduate degree in cell biology and neuroscience from Montana State University in Bozeman. After shadowing many professionals in the oral healthcare field, Dr. Matt realized that, as a dental professional, he could make a positive difference in the lives of his patients, as well as those in his community. He graduated with his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, and completed his general practice residency certificate from OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

As a healthcare provider, Dr. Matt understands the importance of being a lifetime learner, and participating in continuing education courses makes this possible. Continuing education helps Dr. Matt stay up to date with the latest in dental advances and treatment modalities, and enableshim to offer the best possible care for his patients. Whether it is the latest in caries prevention or new techniques in restorative dentistry, continuing education not only broadens his dental knowledge, but also helps with day-to-day patient care.

In addition to continuing education courses, Dr. Matt is actively involved with several professional organizations. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Minnesota Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Matt enjoys spending time outside with his wife Rachel and daughter Audrey around many of the numerous lakes in the Twin Cities. They play on a volleyball team throughout the summer, love to travel, and are always looking for a concert to attend. Dr. Matt loves to cook and try the many wonderful restaurants throughout the Minneapolis and St. Paul area. He is also a huge sports fan, especially of college and pro football.

Dr. Brent, as he is called by the children who visit the office, lives in Prior Lake with his wife, Lisa, and three daughters; Greta, Ava, and Ella. Dr. Brent grew up in Eagan and graduated from Rosemount High School in 1986. The following spring, he attended St. Olaf College. When he wasnt studying or playing football, he enjoyed mentoring and helping local troubled middle schoolers with their problems.

In 1990, after graduating with a B.A. in biology, he continued his education at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Dr. Brent spent three rewarding months of his dental training in Nijmegen, Holland, participating in the clinical dental exchange program.

After graduating from dental school in 1994, Dr. Brent knew pediatric dentistry was his future. In 1997, he completed his residency in the division of pediatric dentistry at the University of Minnesota, with a masters degree in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Brents thesis on the Incidence of Oralfacial Injuries in High School Sports was published in the Journal of Public Health Dentistry in the fall of 1998.

Dr. Brent has beenwith Children's Dental Caresince 1997, and a partner since 1999. He enjoys covering emergencies for the Minnesota State High School League, and assisting young at-risk athletes with mouthguard use.

I have never met a kiddo who didnt make me smile. They are all unique and fun! I love my profession, as it offers the chance to see a whole spectrum of patients, from infants with feeding issues to children with anxiety or special needs, to teens with dynamic, fascinating interests.

Personally and professionally, I am an ardent supporter of each child as an individual. The best part of my job is getting to know every little one as a person and being part of their life as they grow into a wonderful young adult.

I am convinced that the best care practices in pediatric dentistry change as fast as kids do. It is important to learn and acquire as much knowledge as constantly as possible, so I know I am providing patients the absolute best dentistry in terms of safety, longevity, and quality.

My husband, Meysam, is a pediatric neurosurgeon at Childrens Hospital. Weve been married for more than a decade and have four lovely and wild children. Our family is rounded out by our dog, GusGus, who mostly prefers to sleep.

My free time is spent (trying to!) keep up with my children and their many interests; we do make time so they can teach me new dance moves! I also love cross-country skiing and am an avid reader, when I can find a few quiet moments to indulge.

I have a masters degree in public health and love teaching parents and kids about childrens oral health and maternal/child health, too. I am especially proud to have helped organize a group called 22q Connections Minnesota, which supports families affected by 22q deletion, also known as DiGeorge Syndrome.

I am so fortunate to affect my patients lives by using my knowledge and skills to maintain and restore optimum oral health, alleviate any pain or discomfort, and establish a positive relationship with their dental provider at an early age. This, I believe, goes a long way in eliminating future dental phobias and allowing them to have a positive outlook on their oral health.

Working with so many unique people everyday enriches my life, since everyone has a different perspective to offer. I learn from everyone around me on a daily basis! I love getting to know and interacting with my patients and providing a friendly, positive, and fun dental experience for their visits.

Being a part of this profession means that I have the knowledge, skills, and ability to make a difference in the oral health of the youngest members of our community. As a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, as well as local dental societies, I continue my education to stay up to date on techniques, materials, and procedures. It allows me to deliver the most current, evidence-based dental care to my patients to enable the most successful outcome possible.

Originally from Boone, North Carolina, I currently reside in Saint Paulwith my husbandCharlie and our cat George. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with Charlie and our friends, traveling, being outdoors, trying new restaurants, and exploring all the Twin Cities has to offer.

If i could give this place less then 1 star I would. Who turns away a child with a dental emergency due to parents financial issues that has changed since they were last there over 2 years ago? I work at a dental office and we would never turn away an emergency patient. Clearly this shows that you guys don't care about the children at all. My dental office has referred many patients to you guys, but not anymore. Which is a shame because we had a great experience when we originally went and that's what we based our office referring to you guys.

This place still isn't working to get over the "pandemic". Everyone is still being forced to wear masks, there are no activities/toys for the children to play with while they wait, no reading materials for the parents, and the coffee station is has been closed for weeks if not months. Real progress going on here. Probably a good time to find a new dental clinic for my children.

This dental clinic has been so wonderful with my son (2) and daughter (5). My kids don't even mind going to the dentist. Loretta explains everything to them and encourages them throughout the whole visit. The dentists are gentle and truly want what's best for the child.

Update: I was contacted by Children's Dental after I started a dispute with care credit. They are reversing the charge and allowing me to use our HSA. The call came with and apology from a very helpful billing staff person. Chelsea, thank you for clearing this up. My issue is resolved satisfactorily. Looking forward to better experiences... --------------------------------------------------------------- Dental staff was semi pleasant, dependent on who your child was speaking to. My 5 year old had to get some work done. He was in pain and in order to get it all done at once and without a fight we were recommended to go here by our dentist. They did the checks needed, and decided on a plan. We agreed to the plan. The told us we had to give a credit card before the work was done. The sedation was $1300. And not covered by insurance. The other dental work was $2700. Though they were out if network my insurance still pays some. Both the charges had to be disputed... The $1300 charged to my care credit was charged $1430. (10% for using care credit, which defeats the purpose of using care credit) plus they cannot charge more just because its care credit. I won that dispute and it $130 returned. Now I have a bill that came saying that my insurance paid them on 2/14/22, and my care credit was charged on 2/14/22... not an updated bill with the remaining amount. When I called to ask them to reverse it so that I could pay with an HSA card (master card, so basically a debit card for heath expenses) I was told they could not do that. So either they are lying, or they don't know what the hell they are doing, cause credit cards (including care credit) do not have a no backsies policy...they have some way of returning the money to a card, they just didn't want to. So... back to care credit to dispute the charge again...

Wonderful, kind and patient staff. My son loved Dr. Amy and how quick the cleaning and X-rays were. So glad we found them!

The dental staff is phenomenal. I'd give them 5 stars. The front of house has messed up our billing multiple times, turned us away for having the wrong insurance and, after I investigated and found they were wrong, wouldn't see us because it was 15 minutes after the appointment that we were originally early for. The people who work on teeth are great, but I can't deal with the front staff.

They got us in right away. My husband forgot our new dental insurance cards but they looked it up, took care of it, and got us the group number so we could log in later. My boys are shy but the staff was super helpful, kind and great with them. Efficient, kind, top notch. So glad we go there!!

Over the years, we have seen Dr. Brent, Dr. Matt, Dr. Ann and Dr. Amy. All are wonderful and so patient in our experience with babies and toddlers. The hygienists are also great and ensure they are helping to establish dentist visits as a good experience for small kids. Highly recommend!

Have an dental appointment with sedation for my little 3 yrs old baby at 9:30am. She haven't had anything for fasting since 9pm the night before. We arrived 15 mins early for our appointment and time came by they have not call us in. So, went to check with them at 9:45 because they haven't ca us. Poor little girl she's super hungry and wanted eat and got upset because she can't eat. It's 9:55am now the office just call us in. Little girl was so hungry and kept wanted to eat so she got mad at mommy. 10:12am Doctor came in talk about 2 minutes and left us waiting again It's 10:28am nothing happening yet us waiting in the room with a child suffering from hunger. It's 10:30am anesthesia just came in. 10:42am finally my baby fall as sleep with anesthesia. NOT once say SORRY for running behind schedule or do anything to keep my baby girl busy so she don't have to ask for food. Staffs were very nice previous appointments but this time they need to have a better scheduling system for Kids with Sedations. They need to be on time and get the child in and out. It's already HARD for a child seat still and wait. Now have the child wait for over an hour with an empty stomach is unacceptable. Update: After the procedure the Doctor apologized for the wait but the review was posted before and I did let them know about the review. I had too because it was too suffering.

I have been bringing my children here since they were little. I have never had any issues until previously. I have never been treated so rudely over an overdue bill that I was trying to get paid. They went into breaking policies and guidelines but at no point in time or any policies asked to be bent or guidelines to be broken just a phone call to get a bill paid. The lady stated she did not care about the situation and that I needed to get my divorce situation taken care of. I then asked to talk to the manager about the situation where the billing lady sat in the background and continued to make rude remarks as the manager stated that she was a very nice and caring person. This is not the type of business that I want to support.

I was charged almost $90 to put fluoride on my kids teeth and the billing office was rude and not helpful at all. They will not make sure things are covered under Insurance so make sure you do your research before a huge bill shows up. Not going back unfortunately :/
