Dr. Scott is currently one of only three specialists in the state of Pennsylvania practicing both specialties with certificates in Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry (His dad and Dr. Alex are the other two!). He is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He received his dental and orthodontic degrees from Columbia University School of Dentistry and his pediatric dental degree from the Temple/Episcopal Hospital Program. His training was extensive and diverse in both specialties.
Dr. Alex received his undergraduate degree at Emory University, where he graduated with Phi Beta Kappa honors. He then moved to Philadelphia to pursue his doctorate in Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated #1 in his class. Dr. Alex went on to receive his Pediatric Dental training at Temple University Hospital, followed by a second specialty in Orthodontics and M.S. in Oral Biology at Temple University.
Dr. Alex, along with Dr. Scott, are among only a handful of doctors in the country to complete dual-specialty training in both Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. His extensive and diverse background enables him to provide the highest quality of care to his patients.

Absolutely wonderful on every level. For the kids: golden coins, tvs, toys and video games in reception, and kindness gentleness and care. For the adults: easy to schedule, attentive reception, extremely helpful with submitting claims (even when it's not working easily). Bonus: orthodontics AND pediatric dentistry means having long-term patient comfort and dentist knowledge that doesn't exist in any other practice in Philadelphia!

My girls have been going to this practice since they were toddlers. The people are always very friendly and make you feel at home. The office is very cute and they can play while they wait.

Since going here, my girls (ages 6 & 8) actually like going to the dentist. They have had some extensive work done and are always happy to come back. The staff here really uses their imagination to keep the kids at ease. We will stick with this practice until they age out.

Was excellent when Dr. Cohen ran the business. Front desk people made appointments for when doctors weren't there. No communication between doctor and patient. Had to leave the practice.

The dentists, technicians, and orthodontists at Children's Dental have been taking excellent care of my sons for more than ten years, and we couldn't be happier. My younger son was terrified of the dentist at first, and they were super patient with him until he felt comfortable. My older son's braces experience was as smooth as possible (and much better than my own, once upon a time). Can't say enough good things about Children's Dental.

Needed a last minute appointment while visiting philly. Walked in and were seen within 15 minutes. Dentist was great she was thorough and attentive. Was also very affordable.
