Dr. Scott is currently one of only three specialists in the state of Pennsylvania practicing both specialties with certificates in Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry (His dad and Dr. Alex are the other two!). He is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He received his dental and orthodontic degrees from Columbia University School of Dentistry and his pediatric dental degree from the Temple/Episcopal Hospital Program. His training was extensive and diverse in both specialties.
Dr. Alex received his undergraduate degree at Emory University, where he graduated with Phi Beta Kappa honors. He then moved to Philadelphia to pursue his doctorate in Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated #1 in his class. Dr. Alex went on to receive his Pediatric Dental training at Temple University Hospital, followed by a second specialty in Orthodontics and M.S. in Oral Biology at Temple University.
Dr. Alex, along with Dr. Scott, are among only a handful of doctors in the country to complete dual-specialty training in both Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. His extensive and diverse background enables him to provide the highest quality of care to his patients.

We have had such an incredible experience with the staff at Children's Dental. We have been taking my daughter there since she was a toddler and they have always been kind. Now that she is almost 14, we just went through 2 years of orthodontics and it has been so convenient to be able to have our dental and orthodontics all under one roof. My daughter was missing some adult teeth and they did the most amazing job! Jen (who did the bonding) spent so much time to make her smile look perfect. She went out of her way to make my daughter feel comfortable. I would recommend this office 100%. So thankful!

I took my 2 year old for his first dentist visit today and we had an amazing experience. The staff were all kind, considerate, and patient with a nervous toddler (and mom) and the appointment went so much better than I had anticipated. I could not have asked for a better first dental checkup for my little one. Highly recommend!

I have been coming here since I was younger, it's always been a pleasurable experience. I love it here to much that I still come here at 21, haha! Today I called to see if my Little sister and I could come in early and they said it was no problem. When we arrived we were warmly greeted and received service right away. Jen took us straight to the back and began to clean our teeth. She provided excellent customer service and is a great conversationalist. I whole heartedly recommend bringing your children here as well!

THE BEST DENTIST FOR KIDS! I can't begin to describe how awesome the staff here is at Children's Dental! They were so caring and great at their work! They made both my babes very relaxed and comfortable during their visits. I will absolutely recommend them to any parent who wants the best dental experience for their children! *added plus* they have the coolest reward system for them at the end of their visit and the kids can watch whatever Netflix show or movie during their visit! Double win!!!

Dr. Scott & Dr. Alex are both board certified dentists and orthodontists and are not only wonderful @ what they do, they are both approachable and kind. Steph & Viv are terrific! My 3 children have all been dental & orthodontic patients @ Children's Dental and we have had positive experiences and great results. We recommend Childrens Dental for both dentistry & orthodontic care! :)

I'm very pleased with the way the staff, specifically jenn helped my four year old daughter who was a wreck. She didn't want anything to do with a cleaning even though she has been there in the past. Jenn stepped right in and got her all cleaned up. Thank you again.

So glad we made the switch to Children's Dental. The staff is phenomenal and welcoming. I was shopping around for a new dentist office for my sons and was put off by other offices receptionist when calling to inquire about scheduling. As soon as I called Children's Dental I knew this was the one. The front desk receptionist is very kind, informative and patient. Dr H and Jen made my sons visit a breeze. 5 stars all around.

This place is wonderful, my daughter has braces and she loves getting her colors changed the nice young lady who does her work always give her cute designs and my daughter be so happy. The staff at Children's Dental & Orthodontic Associates in Elkins Park are wonderful. The hygienists were patient & engaged with my child and Dr. Alex was great at explaining what was going on with her teeth & what we need to watch in the future. We highly recommend them.
