Dr. Brent Child grew up in Quincy, Washington on the family farm. This taught him all of those great skills and attitudes that our farmers are well known for honesty, integrity, family values and hard work. He, his wife and four children return to Quincy frequently to spend time on the farm. After graduating from Brigham Young University, and then Marquette University School of Dentistry, Dr. Child worked in Klamath Falls, Oregon as the Community Service Director of the Community Health Center. He has been practicing dentistry in Spokane since 2003, and takes great pride in providing his patients with unsurpassed, quality dental care in a relaxed and comfortable setting.
Mikki was born and raised in Spokane. She graduated from Ferris High School and completed the Dental Assisting course at Spokane Community College. Her career began working in this very dental practice in 1989. She has two great boys Joey and Jake. She lives south of Spokane in Valleyford. Mikkis knowledge and her caring personality make a wining combination!
Paul has been working as a Dental Hygienist since 1997 after he graduated from Eastern Washington University. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and son. He loves to golf, play keyboard and watch his son play soccer. Pauls diligence and enthusiasm will no doubt help you reach your maximum dental health.
Jessica is also a Dental Hygienist. She earned her Bachelors Degree from Eastern Washington University in 2003 and started her career in the Tri-Cities area. She has worked alongside Dr. Child since she moved to Spokane in 2005. When Jessica isnt at work, she enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband and their two great kids. She also loves photography and reading.
Matthew was born and raised in sunny California. He graduated dental hygiene from Colorado Northwestern and lived in Colorado for about 4 years. Together with his family he found his way to Spokane and has been working as a hygienist since 2005. He enjoys volunteer work with his church and loves to spend time with his amazing wife and four children. They enjoy hiking, camping, and playing all sorts of games together. Matthew joined Dr. Childs team in the spring of 2019 and is excited to meet all of our wonderful patients!
Meet Michelle, she is our Financial Coordinator. She and her husband have three very active children. They really love to be busy! Her oldest son plays collegiate baseball, her daughter dances competitively and her youngest son also plays baseball and basketball. As a family they love to snow ski, go camping, biking or on a rare occasion, enjoy some down time. Shes worked in this office since 2004 and has been having a great experience. She takes pleasure in knowing Dr. Child and the entire dental team are truly dedicated to superior dentistry.
Sherrell is like a mother to all of our team members. She completed her Dental Assisting certification at Long Beach Community College. She has lived in Spokane since 1994. She has 3 sons, 1 daughter, 2 granddaughter, and 1 grandson. She lives in the West Central area of Spokane and enjoys all 4 seasons in her amazing backyard. Sherrell is also a Master Trainer with the Girl Scouts of America, as well as a troop leader to a great group of brownies. In addition to spending time at the office, with her family, or in the Spokane Community; Sherrell loves to read. We hope she never wants to retire as it wouldnt be the same without her here!
Naomi is the oldest of six children, and was raised by her dad in Spokane. Her husband and two children are settled in north Spokane and are the current owners of FroYo Earth. Naomi earned a degree in Interior Design before going back to school to get her certificate for Dental Assisting. You can usually find her and her family playing recreational sports together, having endless board game nights and taking on fun renovation projects around their home. Naomi loves patient care and organization which is why being the Hygiene Assistant has been so fulfilling for her. Youve likely met her when youve come in for your cleanings assisting your hygienist with charting and scheduling. Naomi loves how genuine and kind Dr. Child and all the whole team is. She hopes that every patient feels the same, and looks forward to coming back every time.
