Dr. JR Chidley grew up in a military family living in many different locations throughout his childhood (Japan, Hawaii, Spain, and California). After graduating from Riverside Poly High School in Southern California, heattended University of Iowa for his undergraduate studies. While at University of Iowa, he was a Division 1 scholarship tennis player, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2001. He then attended Creighton University School of Dentistry from 2002-2006.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Chidley became a commissioned dental officer in the United States Air Force. He completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Shepphard AFB, Texas. Dr. Chidleyserved as an Air Force dentist for three years, completing his military service with therank of captain.
In 2009, Dr. JR Chidley moved back to his hometown of Riverside, California where he joined his fathers dental practice. Dr. Chidley has worked alongside his father at ChidleyDentistry ever since. In 2015 he completed a dental implant fellowship at the Great Lakes Implant Institute in St. Paul, Minnesota. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Sarah, their son, Clay, and their daughter, Helen.
Upon graduating from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 1977, he was commissioned as an Air Force dental officer. Dr. Chidley served as a dentist in the United States Air Force for twenty years, retiring as a Lt Col (last duty station was March AFB in Riverside, California).
After retiring from the Air Force, he and his wife Brenda started Chidley Dentistry in 2003. Dr. Chidley has been proudly serving the Riverside community since that time. On his free time, Dr. Chidley likes to spend time with his family, especially his four grandchildren. He also has a great passion for sculpting, jogging, and tennis.

I love this office! Who can actually say they love their dentist? I can! They are quick, professional, and very trustworthy. This is an awesome family owned business. They are honest and hardworking and deliver great result. 20/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone!

Chidley Dentistry is fantastic. A friend referred me about 10 years ago and I couldn't be happier. They are honest and fair. They don't try to upsell you for things you don't need. JR and his staff treat you like family. A+

After seeing dentists in larger corporate style offices with car sales accounting mentality, it was joy to find Chidley Dentistry. The two dentists and staff are friendly and professional. Excellent communication; they explain every procdeure and it's clear the patient is the priority.

I have been going to Chidley Dentistry for over 14 years. This is a wonderful calm place for me to bring my autistic child. Dr. Chidley and his staff are very friendly and kind individuals who are full of compassion and understanding for each of their patients. They have always explained every procedure in detail prior to starting and always makes sure we understand. They also always make sure during the procedure we are comfortable and not in any pain. Their office may look small, but it is filled with amazing decorations, making it feel like a safe and cozy office instead of a mass produced lab of cold machines. If you are looking for a dentist that treats you like family, this is the place you want to go!!

Chidley Dentistry is great! First dentist I've even been to that took the time to explain everything in detail. Everyone is very friendly. Nice office decorated with their own art. No sales pitches for work you don't need.

Messed up my fillings. Was in pain for months. Had to get them fixed elsewhere. It is also pretty sketchy, no windows, feels like getting work done in someone's living room
