I chose to be in the field of orthodontics because I want to make an impact in ones quality of life and to bring more confidence to the world. My goal is to provide excellent orthodontic treatment for children and adults.

Dr. Wesley Chiangs journey to become an orthodontist began at Tufts University School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. In order to earn his orthodontic specialty, Dr. Chiang attended Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, receiving his Master of Science degree and Certificate in Orthodontics.
The years Dr. Chiang spent in school gave him the knowledge and hands-on training needed to begin practicing, but his dedication to education did not stop there. Dr. Chiang is actively involved in local study clubs and regularly attends continuing education courses in order to stay up-to-date on the newest, most innovative ways to create beautiful smiles for his patients. He is also an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, both of which afford numerous learning opportunities throughout the year.
Dr. Chiang has dedicated himself in providing high quality treatment to his patients. In April, he was recognized when he was selected from over 400 dentists and orthodontists to receive the Chairman's Award in 2016.
After completing his orthodontic training in Detroit, Dr. Chiang moved to the Bay area for the beautiful weather and the friendly community. He has now lived with his wife and his daughter in the San Jose area. Dr. Chiangs time outside of the office is spent traveling, running, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

I always had to wait till 20 or 30 minutes later than my appointment start time. They are obviously over booking because there're always much more people waiting than the seats they have. Even if you finally got a seat, you still have to wait... Sometimes I can't even talk to the doctor unless I insist. The receptionists are indifferent and reluctant to talk when I want to check in...

Dr Chiang is very nice and professional. Most of staff is professional as well. However, there is one lady, whenever it was her turn to adjust my wire, she left extra wire poking to my mouth, so I have to come back the day after and request some other staff to correct that. She alway said that it is hard to see what's happening in my month and asked me to feel it myself. That particular lady also seemed incompetent and always confused by those machines. I believe the other staffs are fully aware this lady's incompetency, because whenever I have them adjust my wire, they would ask me who did that last time. And they would shake their head, and signed. I am hoping Dr Chiang can ensure consistent customer experience by more employee training and making sure right staff at right place.

Dr. Chiang and his staff are amazing. They are most accommodative and patient with patients and their changing schedule, great frond desk staff! Dr.Chaing is good at communicating what changes and adjustments he is doing every time I visit. Jenni, his assistant is also great. She is very skilled and does the adjustments with minimal discomfort. All in all, aces!

Best Orthodontist ever! Office is nice, and staff very knowledgeable. Great customer service, they offer very reasonable payment options, and prices are not sky high.

Service is okay. But I have to wait 30-45 minutes every time I visit even with the appointments. It's way over crowded. Edit: The good part though is they are pretty flexible at making one off appointment if something unexpected happens (broken retainer).

Dr. Chiang is an amazing orthodontist. I have never met a doctor so careful and diligent. I have Invisalign with him and the process is very simple with him as he explains everything perfectly and really makes sure that every aspect and step is understood. I have referred family and friends to him and he never disappoints! :)
