Our team includes practice founder Dr. Marcus Haggard (retired), lead cosmetic dentist Ann Haggard, DDS, and our newest dentist, Lauren Eichblatt, DMD. Dr. Ann E. Haggard has distinguished herself throughout every stage of her education. As a student at Centenary College of Louisiana, she was a member of the pre-med honor society and earned athletic scholarships for her participation in both cross country and softball. In 2000, she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and went on to pursue her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry. During her time in dental school, she won an award for outstanding achievement in periodontics and belonged to the Delta Sigma Delta Professional Dental Fraternity. In May 2004, she joined her fathers dental practice, Designer Smiles, and began her career in cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Ann understands better than most the importance of cosmetic dentistry. When she was in college, she sustained a severe injury to her face, which damaged several of her teeth. Since then, she has always had some type of cosmetic dental restoration on her front teeth. She understands the desire and need for cosmetic dentistry that looks natural. With her personal experience as a cosmetic dentistry patient, she can impart a different perspective than other dentists who have never needed dental work on their front teeth.

Dr. Eichblatt began to distinguish herself as a dedicated student while earning her undergraduate degree in Behavioral Neuroscience at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. During undergraduate studies, she gave her time to numerous volunteer programs, mentored students and student-athletes, and notably founded the Lehigh University Dental Club.

Turning the focus of her studies toward Health Promotion, Behavior Science, and Leadership Studies, Dr. Eichblatt went on to earn her Masters of Public Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health. She then enrolled at the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois to pursue her Doctorate of Dental Medicine. Dr. Eichblatt first joined our team at Designer Smiles as a Dental Assistant while in school.

During her time at Midwestern University, Dr. Eichblatt served as class president for the first two years of her studies, earned both the Outstanding Leader Award and the Excellence Award before her graduation, and founded the universitys first Cosmetic Dentistry Club. Now that she has completed her dental degree, leadcosmetic dentist Ann Haggard, DDSis happy to welcome Dr. Eichblatt to the practice as their newest dentist.

Dr. Chet Hawkins, DDS is a Cosmetic Dentist in Houston, TX. He grew up in the Clear Lake area of Houston. His father, Dr. Darrell Hawkins, was the first dentist to open a dental practice in the area in 1964.As the first father-son dental practice in Clear Lake City, Dr. Chet has continued the tradition of exceptional care his father started through advanced training from the L.D. Panky Institute, as well as being awarded a Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD). The Panky Institute is the worlds premier post-doctoral educational institution.

Dr. Chet is one of only 1500 dentists worldwide to have earned the prestigious honor of Master in the Academy of General Dentistry. He has also been awarded a Fellowship in the American College Of Dentists (FACD) by his peers. These achievements mean Dr. Chet is one of the most highly educated general dentists in the Webster and Clear Lake, TX area. Dr. Chet is committed to continuing education believing that being a perpetual student will continue his zeal for dentistry, as well as bring the latest technological breakthroughs to his patients. The State of Texas mandates 12 hours of continuing education every year. Dr. Chet has averaged 100 plus hours of continuing education per year.

Dr. Chet graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1974, Baylor University in 1978 where he played on the 1974 SWC champion football team, and the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston in 1983. Dr. Chet married his high school sweetheart, Deby, and they have three children-Kendall, Kayce, and Hunter. Dr. Chet enjoys golf, hunting, riding his Harley, and watching his kids activities.
