Hello! Superlative is of the highest quality or degree. I would say this to be the staff of Chestnut Dental in Shadyside. The staff are kind and genuine always making me feel at home with their warm hospitality and impeccable service. Today was an awesome day for me. Dr. Bonsteel and Amanda Graham took great care of me and gave me a beautiful smile again. Thank you all for such great service and a promising friendship. Your patient Lucille Plummer

I just posted this review on The Squirrel Hill location as well, but Shadyside is the location that has let me down the most! I have been trying to get in to ANY of the Chestnut Hills Dental offices for over a month! I call to verify my appointment for tomorrow and suddenly it's been cancelled!!! They are trying to say I cancelled it when in fact I called BEGGING for an earlier date because I am in so much pain. I spoke to two people in one day about scheduling, letting them now my schedule is wide open. Luckily the second person let me know that there are other Chestnut Hills locations that I could go to so then I called Squirrel Hill. I NEVER cancelled my appointment. They cancelled on me, without notice or warning and left me in pain. I have called and spoke to now 5 separate people about getting scheduled, each one saying something different than the last. The hours listed on Google are a joke. They ARE NOT OPEN AFTER 5. The people I just spoke to couldn't schedule me at all. They "didn't have access to schedule on their servers". And "they have have to run everything by the scheduler". So what's the point of having your hours listed until 7 when neither the Squirrel Hill or Shadyside location can schedule appointments after 5??!!!

I was greeted nicely and felt welcomed. Very nice dental office the dental assistant was very kind and explained everything she was doing. The Doctor was very kind and thorough. We discussed my teeth what is needed and what is not needed. Very comfortable place to come too and just relax you're in good hands.

Took 1.5 hours to get one x-ray (2 mins), 5 min for 2 bitewings and a 5 min meeting with the dentist. Long waits in between - Highly inefficient!

This was definitely the best dental visit I've had in my life. Dr. Bonsteel is extremely nice and personable, and Amanda (Mandy) is incredible. I made sure to book my next cleaning with her specifically!

I have been seeing Dr. Bonsteel at Chestnut Hills for over ten years. He is caring, meticulous, and highly skilled. When I asked him why he chose to be a dentist, he told me that for him, being a dentist was the perfect combination of artistry and helping people, and that resonated with me. As long as it's physically reasonable for me to be his patient, I will keep coming back. Put another way: there are over two dozen more convenient dental offices for me based on my home and workplace, and I still choose to come see Dr. Bonsteel at Chestnut Hills!
