I've been using Chestnut Hills for my dental care for over 20 years. Great staff. Great knowledgeable dentists. Great location. Dental hygienist Heather is so kind and caring!

The dental hygienists are great. I tend to get a different one each time but they are all pleasant and efficient. Struggle lately with staffing so no Saturday appointments anymore. Have had repeated struggles with billing. Not sure if that is this office's fault or MetLife's fault but still not resolved after 6 months!

While they are friendly and professional, their practice needs some work 1) on the paperwork and told them in person I am a hard person to numb. So the first visit they tried to numb me and it didn't work. So I had to reschedule to get my crown. I showed up during the reschedule..they said this stuff is more powerful and it should work. Sure enough it just took a few shots of it and it worked. I'm like...why didn't you give me this stuff in the first place?!? 2) I got my crown, a month later it pops out. So I called them to get it fixed, I showed up the assistant said. Oh this stuff works a lot better then the cement we gave you. Again in my head I said...why didn't you give this stuff in the first place?! Not to mention, that the drill they used to prepare my tooth (for the crown) had a bad leak, sometimes the water was kinda preventing me to breath , yet they didn't move me to a different room...and some of the chairs was ripped open. My advice? Look for a different dentist.

Warning Warning !! If I didn't have to leave a star I wouldn't . Provider Dr. Robert Hudock of Chestnut Dentist was listed as a In network provider with United Concordia Chip PA . I booked my appointment in May and was scheduled to see the Dentist 7/11/2022 . Prior to arrival, I called to confirm my appointment, found out that I was scheduled under another patient, with the same last name . I called to validate the providers participation I was told that the insurance was accepted the appointment information was corrected , I was told to come in and fill out registrations online which I did . Upon arrival, I hand over my insurance information. My son is taken to the back , and X-rayed , now my son is sitting in the chair for his annual cleaning for school . The woman who scheduled the appointment didn't want to tell me the insurance is not accepted and had Heather the Dentist assistant tell me while my son was sitting in the chair . According to them they haven't accepted the insurance for a few years, was a COMPLETE FABRICATED LIE . I immediately contact insurance and questioned why this provider is listed as participating on the website and the questioned why the receptionist scheduled me in the first place. Clearly , annoyed with the situation , my calm friendly demeanor diminished once, the front desk receptionist got rude and demanded immediate payment, told me she didn't mention PA chip United Concordia, I was fuming . I ended up paying $398 dollars just for a cleaning and X-rays . Instead of filing a claim and billing my insurance so i can pay whatever was picked up from insurance company, she demanded I pay or leave . After leaving my insurance provider informed me this provider was no longer participating as of July 7th 22 which was last Friday 4 days ago . Which I was not told this until after I paid out of pocket, because according to them they haven't accepted this insurance for years . I couldn't schedule anywhere else because everyone is booked until November and January. Don't waste your time the customer service representatives are trashy , biased, unprofessional and irresponsible morons . They don't care about their patients or the customer service they provide to the people in the community . The lady was afraid I wouldn't pay and made me pay before my son received his cleaning, instead of billing my insurance as an out of network provider . I'm not the type to scream racism but it was EVIDENT BLACKS AREN'T WANTED THERE. Oh , I paid and submitted my claim to get my reimbursement. Make sure you check with United Concordia prior to arrival because they will not call to validate their own participation when asked and will force you to pay out of pocket after your already in the chair.
