Dr Ahmed is a periodontist dedicated to comprehensive, patient-focused treatment of gum disease, bone loss and dental implant therapy. Dr Ahmed is committed to provide the highest quality of care, believing that oral health is the gateway for overall health.
Dr Ahmed conducts a thorough examination and spends time discussing with the patient and the referring doctors all options available for treatment. He provides non-surgical, surgical and laser treatment services, as needed. Dr Ahmed is a LANAP provider.
Dr Ahmed is a Faculty member in the Department of Periodontology at the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He earned his DMD degree from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine and his Advanced Graduate Education certificate in Periodontology and Doctorate of Medical Sciences degree from Harvard University. He continues to pursue lifelong education through his research at The Forsyth Institute, and membership in professional organizations including the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, American Association of Dental Research, Academy of Osseointegration and International Congress of Oral Implantology.
Dr Abdelmegeed earned here DMD degree from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine.She is serious about oral health and is very passionate about cosmetic dentistry. She is committed to giving her patients a beautiful smile and maintaining a healthy dentition.
She is Invisalign-certified, providing the clear aligners option to her patients, as an alternative to metal braces. Dr Abdelmegeed is a member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society.

I rarely leave online reviews but felt compelled to do so because of how much I love Dr. Passant, who has been my dentist for roughly 5 years now. She is incredibly thoughtful and meticulous when working with your teeth, and if something is making you nervous or concerned, she deftly addresses the problem and puts you at ease. After finally finishing the Invisalign journey I started and abandoned in high school, we finished my orthodontic treatment with four veneers on my front teeth (which is something I had been planning to do for years). After a tough moment before the final installation, Dr. Passant spoke with me by phone on her day off to reassure me and surprised me by having me come in to get my real ones put in a few days later - which required her to pull quite a few strings (as this process usually takes two weeks). I can't express enough how amazing they look, because both the lab technician they partner with did an outstanding job with the color match and shape to make them look as natural as my real teeth, and Dr. Passant did an incredible job installing them. During this process, she continually looked at the veneers to ensure that even the tiniest details looked perfect, which was above and beyond. I believe she also gave me a discount when I purchased them, which was really kind. My journey to good oral health has been challenging, as I neglected to finish straightening my teeth in adolescence and realized years ago that I was experiencing gingivitis and plaque build-up because of crowding. I've always been very insecure about the cosmetic aspect of my smile in addition to my oral health, and if it weren't for Dr. Passant strongly encouraging me to fix it, I likely would've felt too daunted by the time and energy I'd have to put in to do it. Now, I feel 100% satisfied with it because of her work. Regretfully, the staff at this dental facility has seen the worst of me because of how insecure and emotional I've gotten about my teeth during my visits, but they still accept me and choose to work with me multiple times a year. Dr. Passant has said herself that she doesn't want to lose me as a patient, and I'm truly grateful for her help and for the understanding of the entire staff as I've moved through this journey. I haven't lived near this office for some time, but I continue to travel from East Boston so that I can work with her specifically, because I trust her work and know that she will always do the best she can by me. Also: Special shout out to the hygienist, Jess, who always does an impeccable job cleaning my teeth and removing the stubborn plaque on my bottoms. She knows her stuff and I always leave feeling like my mouth is squeaky clean - which is something I now take very seriously!

I have been coming to Chestnut Hill Dental Associates for years & could not be happier! I go for both regular cleanings/dental procedures and also did Invisalign through them- everything is done with expertise and care. I highly recommend Dr. Passant & the team at Chestnut Hill Dental Associates!

I've had great experiences here so far. All of the staff is extremely friendly and some remembered me by name already. I even had a few laughs during my visit which I really appreciated. I also want to add they are LGBT friendly. As a transgender man, it has been extremely hard to receive medical care while transitioning. They were very careful about using gender neutral language with me, which I really appreciate. I definitely will recommend this office to anyone!

Would give 10 stars if I could. They got me in for an emergency extraction same day. Everyone was extremely kind and caring, starting with the front desk all the way to the doctor. The office was clean and organized. Great view from the treatment rooms as well. All around wonderful experience. Thank you all! I'm so relieved to have this behind me and I have everyone at Chestnut Hill Dental Associates to thank for that!

The only way to describe my experience here is that I feel as if this office went out of their way to rip me off. After assuring me that all work done is in network (United Healthcare), I continuously found myself owing money to my insurance company after already paying inflated costs to the office. Every time there was a billing issue I was assured by chestnut hill dental that "this has never happened before" and was told that my insurance company must have made an error with their paperwork. Each time I called my insurance company they informed me that chestnut hill dental failed to submit any insurance paperwork for my visit, and therefore I must pay out of pocket for all work done. After finally deciding to cancel my future appointments I figured I was finally free from the re occurring bills from this place, but almost a year later I received a debt collection notice informing me that I still had hundreds of dollars in unpaid dental bills. After calling my insurance company once again, they informed me that chestnut hill had never submitted any paperwork at all, and I was once again being charged out of pocket for visits that I had already paid for twice. I'm not sure of what exactly is going on here, but this place definitely manipulates insurance paperwork on purpose in order to double and triple charge people. Be aware, not only did this place rip me off but they also hurt my credit by sending my bills to collections without even telling me, even though I had already paid everything off in full. Stay away.

I've been coming to this location for nearly two years -- the staff is excellent. They're great at scheduling appointments and are flexible if you have to change at the last minute. They're also great at explaining what they're doing and what your treatment options are. Very modern office.

Dr. Passant & her assistant Zully made my experience at the dentist very pleasant. After avoiding the dentist for years, I finally made an appointment at Chestnut Hill Dental Associates and I could not have been happier with the experience. The front desk clerk, Kate, was extremely helpful answering all of my questions and Zully made me feel very comfortable being there despite my anxiety. I ended up needing to go back for a second appointment for a filling and Dr. Passant was very sweet and made the whole experience super easy and quick. I will be coming here for my 6 month check up much less nervous than I was before. Thank you to everyone at Chestnut Hill Dental for being so amazing!

Went to them once and they were great. I went to an appointment and forgot that my insurance changed unfortunately they were not able to cover it, but they were nice enough to waive the cancellation fee. Really appreciate that.

This place has it all! The team is very cordial and accommodating! My kids and I have been seeing Dr. Alaa & Dr.Passant for years now. They are so knowledgeable and considerate! I was given a comprehensive treatment plan that included Invisalign. They took care of every detail! And I'm so happy with the results!
