Dr. McCarthy is a Maryland native, born and raised in Frederick. She attended the Pennsylvania State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She returned to Maryland to complete her dental degree at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Then furthered her training by completing a general practice residency at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. Dr. McCarthy actively participates in continuing education. She is an Invisalign provider and certified in Botox and facial injectables. She has been a Spear Study Club member for many years and remains an active member of the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association and Anne Arundel County Dental Society. Her continued advancement in the dental profession is derived from a passion to help people and provide the best care to her patients. When Dr. McCarthy is not working or seeking continuing education, she can usually be found on her boat with her fianc or cheering on Penn State football. Dr. McCarthy is an Annapolis resident and loves enjoying everything the water-privileged city has to offer.
Dr. Sid is a graduate of Loyola College in Maryland with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. She earned her DDS from Baltimore College of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland in 2002. After completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency through the University of Florida, s began work as an associate for Chesapeake Family Dentistry. Shortly after, she purchased the practice in February 2008 from Dr. Deborah Caruso. Dr. Sid stays an active member of the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Chesapeake Dental Implant Study Club. She also participates in numerous hours of continuing education each year. Dr. Sid was voted one of the Top Dentists in recent years by Whats Up Annapolis magazine. Currently, she resides in the Annapolis area where she spends free time with her family.

The minute you walk in to the office you are greeted with very professional front desk staff. My hygienist Amanda comes out and greeted me with a big smile. Lots of friendly interaction. Amanda took her time to explain my issues. She's so professional in her approach with me. We Finished up with a plan to begin Invisalign. Marilyn at the front desk went over the costs involved and checked what my insurance would cover. Thank you to all.

It was my first time to see Dr. Sid. I'd had a bad experience at another dentist's office where I felt very discouraged. From the moment I walked in the staff was positive, helpful and encouraging. They provided a lot of clarity about what was happening and how much it was going to cost. I've never had such detailed plans--they are on it! I liked that they focused on function above all--and I didn't have to worry that they were going to push me into movie star veneers, etc. Very state of the art tech stuff too. The staff was knowledgeable and experienced and I felt calm and relaxed. YAY.

Very impressed. My mom raves about her Denist. I see why. First of all, the most accommodating front desk. They were quick to get mom in for a problem at the last minute. The office was clean and spacious with large air purifiers at every patient station. The entire staff was personable. The atmosphere was quite pleasant and Dr Sid was wonderful. My sincere thanks to Dr Sid.

Chesapeake Cosmetic and Family Dentistry has the best staff ever! Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, and most of all very professional. I would highly recommend Chesapeake Cosmetic and Family Dentistry without hesitation. Yes, even going to the dentist can be fun!

Literally the most friendly, knowledgeable hygenist, EVER! Both dentists are phenomenal. I like both so much, I don't specify a preferred provider. The office is spotless and beyond up to date with procedures. SOOOO GOOOD!

Great service, Invisalign installed with no problem. BUT, snacking will be a serious pain. Will probably lose ten pounds over the next 18 months.

I've been a patient of Dr Sidlowski and her team for over 20 years. Recently moved 2 1/2 hours away and have been to 3 different dentist trying to find something equal. I'm now contemplating traveling the 100 miles to get back to what I believe is the best practice in the state of Maryland!!
