Dr. Afsharzand was a faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine from 1994-2017. She is a former group leader and is currently a part time clinical associate professor at the University of Pennsylvania. She established Cherry Hill Dental Excellence in 2004, providing general and specialty prosthodontic dental treatment in a unique clinical setting. She is a member of the American College of Prosthodontics, the American Cleft-Palate Craniofacial Association and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Afsharzand has two grown daughters, one just graduated college and her other is just starting college. Dr. Afsharzand continues to excel her knowledge and skills by going to numerous continuing education courses.She enjoys painting, yoga, likes to travel in her free time and recently started pursuing scuba diving as a hobby.
Prosthodontists specialize in the restoration and replacement of teeth. These dental specialists receive two years of postdoctoral, specialized training. Rigorous training and experience provide prosthodontists with the special understanding of the dynamics of the smile, the preservation of a healthy mouth, and the creation of tooth replacements. Serving as thearchitect of a dental treatment plan, prosthodontists collaborate with general dentists, specialists and other health professionals to develop solutions to your dental concerns.
Margaret is a registered dental hygienist who loves her career. She graduated from the Camden County Dental Hygiene Program in 1992. Margaret has been recognized by the American Dental Association for outstanding achievement in dental hygiene which she is an active member of the Southern New Jersey Dental Hygiene Association, serving on the board since 2011.
Margaret complements our practice with her many years of experience in the dental field. She enjoys helping our patients achieve and maintain optimum dental health, with the latest hygiene techniques. Margaret has a friendly, caring and positive attitude that she shares with all of us, every day.
Kim joined Cherry Hill Dental Excellence in 2015. She is a registered dental hygienist with many years of experience and graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2000 with a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene. She has experience with periodontal, cosmetic, and pediatric dental specialist. Kim believes that patient education is key to good oral health and strives to support every patient with their individual needs.
Kim met her husband shortly after graduating and moved to New Jersey in 2001. They married in 2003 and have 3 kids, 1 boy and 2 girls. In her spare time, Kim enjoys volunteering at school and watching her kids plays sports.

My Hygienist is Peggy and she has been wonderful. Everyone in the office is helpful and personable. Dr Ashfarzand is extremely knowledgeable and provides excellent care with compassion. I've been to other dentists in my life and this practice is outstanding
