Dr. Martin was born in 1962 in nearby Bell Co. She was raised in Pineville and graduated from Pineville High School in 1980. She attended Morehead State University and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1986. Dr. Martin then went on to earn her secondary teaching certificate from Lincoln Memorial University and moved to Louisville, KY where she spent the next few years working various jobs. She was accepted to dental school in 1992 and received her diploma in 1996. She moved to Corbin to take over her uncles (Dr. Sam Martin) practice at 406 Master Street in Corbin. The practice has been located in Corbin since 1961. Continuing the tradition of good family dentistry.
Dr. Jeanne Martin, DMD, is the owner and dentist of Cherry Blossom Dentistry. The practice was founded by Dr. Martins uncle, Dr. Sam Martin, in 1961. Dr. Sam retired in 1995, and Dr. Jeanne took over the practice shortly thereafter. Dr. Martin was educated at the University of Louisville, leaving as a DMD in 1996. She received her undergraduate education at Morehead State, where she received her Bachelor of Science in 1986. Our dentists beloved family consists of her husband, Rupert, their 15-year-old daughter, Madeleine, and 2 cats named Molly and Polly. Dr. Martin enjoys gardening, cooking, and keeping fit, or, in her words, trying to get fit. About dentistry, she says: I love what I do! I love interacting with my patients. My favorite thing to hear is that they feel like theyre part of our family. Dr. Martin contributes a positive outlook to the practice. She is always upbeat, but more importantly, she does her job with the utmost care and respect for her patients. She advises her staff: Always do your best, and always be honest.
I love being a dental hygienist. I couldnt picture doing anything else. Brittanys passion for dentistry translates into beautiful dental work and sincere patient relationships. Brittany graduated from Bristol Community College in 2007 and has been with us since 2008. She has two beautiful daughters and a feisty Chihuahua named Rainbow. She loves spending time with her family and loves taking on any adventure as long as she is with them. Brittany explains why she loves Cherry Blossom Dentistry: This is a very professional practice. We have the most up-to-date technology, which allows us to give you the most thorough exams possible. At the end of the day, I leave knowing I did the best job possible for the patient. Patients should always leave our office feeling they received attentive care and unparalleled work. Brittany runs the hygiene department, focusing on the foundation for a healthy smile: the patients gum and bone. She helps determine which type of cleaning will be best for a particular patient, based on their needs and preferences. The key to beautiful teeth is a healthy foundation, and Brittany provides that to our patients. She is also licensed to use the dental laser and to administer local anesthesia.
Kendra is a Registered Dental Hygienist. She graduated from Big Sandy Community and Technical College with her dental hygiene degree in 2017 and joined our practice soon after. She is also licensed to use the dental laser and to administer local anesthesia. She prides herself in being a gentle and thorough dental hygienist. When Kendra isnt at the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. Family means everything to her.
Gail has 28 years of dental education and experience and has been with our practice for over 14 years now. Why has Gail stayed with Cherry Blossom Dentistry for so long? We are a great team! she says, describing her team members as friendly and professional. Gail has 2 wonderful boys and 8 beautiful grandchildren. She loves horses and going to the beach with her family. Gail contributes to the success of the practice by honing in on the patient experience. She says that one of her primary goals is making patients love their smiles when they leave our office. It doesnt matter what the service may bewhether you need fillings, crowns, or dentures, Gail will make sure that you love your results!
Sara is currently a dental assistant and has been working in the dental field for nearly five years now, she really enjoys being able to help each patient feel informed and comfortable throughout their visit. Originally from Clay County, she drives all the way to Corbin just to be able to provide the best dental care possible for her patients. She says, It brings me much joy to help give back a patients smile and confidence. Sara is also expanding her career and is taking classes to learn to be a hygienist. She is very outgoing and enjoys outdoor activities with her family and friends such as fishing, 4-wheel riding, and cookouts.
