Dr. Scott Peterman graduated Magna Cum Laude from North Georgia College and State University with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry. He then earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry.
Following dental school, Dr. Peterman joined the United States Army where he graduated from a one year Advanced General Dentistry Residency at Fort Benning and a two year Comprehensive Dentistry Residency at Fort Bragg. Because of his extensive post-doctoral education, Dr. Peterman was granted board certification by the American Board of General Dentistry.
Dr. Peterman grew up in the local Canton community, and joined Cherokee Family Dental in 2017 after eleven years of active duty service, including a tour of duty in Afghanistan. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.
Dr. Kristen F. McDonald graduated from The Medical College of Georgia, School of Dentistry in May, 2007 and completed her undergraduate work at The University of Georgia in 2002. While in school, she had the opportunity to participate in internships providing dentistry to persons in Peru, Hawaii and in medically under-served counties throughout Georgia.
Dr. McDonald was born in Naples, Florida, but both she and her husband grew up in the Alpharetta area. She joined Cherokee Family Dental in 2015 and truly enjoys all aspects of dentistry, especially cosmetic. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, The Hinman Dental Society and The American Academy of Facial Aesthetics. She is a Georgia Board of Dentistry approved dentist to administer injectables such as Botox, Dysport, Restylane & Juvederm.
When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and is the mother of two sons and one daughter. She also enjoys running, traveling, and spending time on the water, be it lake or ocean!
