For many parents, taking their child to the dentist is a stressful experience, but it doesnt have to be! At Cherokee Childrens Dentistry, each member of our team goes out of their way to ensure our patients feel special and comfortable at each visit. With us, strong, trusting relationships always come first, and then we use them to deliver stellar dental care that creates gorgeous, healthy smiles. To see why so many Canton families already rely on us to take care of their favorite smiles, read on below!

Our dental office is led by multiple board-certified pediatric dentists, which means they have completed years of training focused on meeting the needs of growing smiles in addition to dental school. Theyve spent countless hours with children, so they know how to keep them calm, plus they have plenty of experience helping those with special needs as well. When your child is here, you can breathe easy, because they are in the hands of an expert.

Our dental office is a fun and welcoming place, but we know that many children just dont like going to the dentist. In fact, some are downright terrified! Thats why were happy to offer sedation dentistry for those with persistent dental nerves. The types we use, nitrous oxide and oral conscious (pill), will soothe your child without putting them to sleep, allowing these gentle methods to redefine their relationship with dentistry for the better.

Your child is like no othershouldnt their dental care reflect that? We certainly believe so, which is why we provide such a wide array of services in one location. This allows our team to tailor our approach based on each childs needs to give them the most effective care possible. Unlike the big corporate dental offices, we wont treat your little one like every other childthey deserve special attention, and thats exactly what theyll get here!

Health and safety have always been extremely important at Cherokee Childrens Dentistry, and thats especially true these days. In light of the COVID pandemic, we have updated and strengthened our already strict sanitation and infection control procedures. All of our team members will be wearing the appropriate PPE, weve allowed more time between patients to disinfect our dental office, and were doing much more behind the scenes so you can enjoy peace of mind during your childs visits.

Tonya has been a member of our dental office for over seven years now, and her career in the dental field as a whole spans well past a decade. A Canton native, she studied at Dental Careers Institute and is trained as a dental assistant. For her, the best part of this job by far is getting to interact with so many amazing families and learning about them on a personal level.

Tonyas husband Dan is a Fire Lieutenant in the Metro Atlanta area, as well as the owner of Southern Sweetwater Pressure Washing. They have a daughter named Alexis and a son named Daniel who plays football (go Cherokee Warriors). Some of her favorite hobbies in her spare time include camping, kayaking, hiking, attending live events, enjoying quiet time with journaling or reading, and tending to her herd of pet goats.

Emma originally hails from Waleska and studied at Georgia Highlands. She does a great job of welcoming all our new patients into the dental office meeting so many wonderful children and their families each day is a lot of fun!

Kelli has been an important part of our dental office for over five years now. She studied at Future Dental Assistants of Atlanta and also has her teaching certificate in early childhood education! What she enjoys most about her role is getting to work closely with children and their parents.

Kelli hails from Warner Robins and currently lives in the Canton area with her husband Rodney. They have four sons who are either starting careers or finishing up their education. She enjoys spending her free time hanging out with family and friends at their lake property at Lake Weiss in Alabama or simply reading a good book!

Moira is from the Marietta area and has been a big part of our dental family for nearly five years. Shes amazing at creating deep connections with both our patients and coworkers. Everyone feels just like family!

Laura is originally from Canton and has been working in dentistry for over two full decades. In fact, shes been a member of our dental office for 12+ years! She loves meeting new families that join our dental family and helping their kids feel comfortable in the treatment chair.

At home, Laura and her husband Chad have a daughter named Caroline, two sons named Jackson and Hudson, a dog named Murphy, and a cat named Maisie. Some of her favorite ways to pass the time include reading, baking yummy treats for the whole family, traveling to new places, and exploring little towns/shops all throughout the North Georgia and North Carolina mountains. She also LOVES organizing!

Cherees career in the dental field spans over 20 years so far! Originally from Oro Grande, CA, she studied dental hygiene in California. Today, she feels very grateful to interact with such wonderful children and great coworkers.

At home, Cheree is happily married with two awesome teen boys! Some of her favorite hobbies include decorating, organizing, tackling various home improvement/DIY projects, and going for long drives on beautiful country roads.

Originally from the Dominican Republic, Josie started her career in pediatric dentistry in 1995 at Jamaica Hospital in Queens, New York. She relocated to Georgia in 2005. Josie has spent her entire dental assistant career specializing in pediatrics and is recognized as an expanded duties assistant by the Georgia Board of Dentistry. She is married and is the proud mother of a son, Alan. Away from the dental office, Josie enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Away from work, Carly spends lots of time with her two siblings, her boyfriend Matthew, her wiener dog Bonnie, and her gecko Blake. Some of her favorite hobbies include traveling, hiking, and getting comfy with a good book or TV show. She is always the first person to jump on an opportunity to take a vacation.

A Canton native, Madison attended the Dental Assisting School of Georgia for her education. One of her favorite parts of being an assistant is getting to see our special patients with happy, healthy smiles that look so confident!

Madson is close with her parents and brother. She also loves cuddling her two dogs Sadie and Maggie. Away from work, her top priority is spending LOTS of quality time on the lake, pool, or beach. Its not a surprise that summer is her favorite season of the year by far.

As one of our assistants, Tazeh always looks forward to helping kids chase away the sugar bugs and overcome their fear of the dentists office! Seeing their big smiles is always a wonderful moment. She studied at the Atlanta Academy of Dental Assisting.

A Marietta native, Tazeh is extremely close with her parents and her little sister. She also has a boyfriend named Michael and two little fur babies named Kooper and Kaia who are Boxers. Some of her favorite hobbies in her spare time include painting, scrapbooking, riding dirt bikes, and wakeboarding in the summer but only in smaller bodies of water, as shes terrified of the ocean!

Cherokee Children's Dentistry did very well with my son. They made sure he was comfortable and explained things in a way he understood (he's 6). The office, waiting area, and exam rooms were very clean. The receptionists were very friendly. It was easy to make appointments. I'm very pleased with the way this office runs.

Great experience for an annual checkup. Kind staff and doctor. Just surprised how much is charged for a out-of-network practice, like triple the amounts as our previous out-of-state & out-of-network dentist is about 40.00 less. I recommend checking with your dental insurance prior.

Best dentist we've ever been to. We have an autistic 9 year old daughter and this was the best experience we've ever had and we have been to a LOT of dentists. Highly recommend. All 3 of my children adored this place:)

After having a terrible experience at a previous dentist, Dr. Miles and his team made my five year old not fearful of the dentist. Dr. Miles and his team were very transparent and authentic! He is very knowledgeable and engaged well with my daughter. We feel 100% that he and his team will take the best care of our child during following procedures.

This was my child's 2nd visit to the dentist in a very short time. The first time was a scheduled cleaning and he loved it at first, but then (naturally) was not a fan. Everyone did everything they could to soothe him (and me :P). He has since had some tooth trauma and the tooth was showing a discoloration. I took him in this morning and he saw Dr. Drew! The environment and staff are so welcoming and made him so comfortable he didn't cry or even flinch when they were looking at his tooth! Luckily, he's fine, but it soothed this mama's heart for an easy and quick visit! I appreciate these wonderful people!

We were referred to Cherokee Children's from a different pediatric dentist because they offer in-house sedation (My 3 year old daughter refused to even get in the dentist chair and she needed treatment done). My anxiety was on high alert just thinking about putting my 3 year old through that process but it had to be done & I was completely blown away with Dr. Miles and his staff. They went above and beyond to make us feel at ease. My daughter did start out with a fight but they were able to work their magic and totally win her over (and me too!) Dr. Miles isn't rushed and genuinely wants you to understand and be a part of the process! The entire staff seems to authentically care for the well being of their patients. Thank you for taking such good care of our girl!

My daughter was so excited to go back for her procedure today simply because of how nice everyone was during her consultation. She walked right in without any hesitation or worry this morning, which made this momma's heart happy. The staff was so kind and accommodating during our time there. Will definitely use them again in the future if needed.

We moved here from FL where we had a great pediatric dentist. The bar was set high. After asking a few friends about where to go that is "child friendly", Cherokee Children's Dentistry came up several times. They are WONDERUL! From the front desk when I called to make our initial appointment to the first visit and now, a follow up with my youngest having a filling. This office really takes the time to talk to you like a person they want to get to know. And I love how they ask me and my children if they have questions. That part is important to me as I am teaching my older two (13 and 11) to speak up and ask questions about their own health and self care.

We were referred to Dr. Drew's office because my child needed sedation. Dr. Drew was amazing! She was thorough and took the time with me! My child was not scared at all even after sedation. I can tell she truly cares about her patients and wants the best for them! She offered me multiple options and allowed me to choose what I felt was best for my child. Additionally, following my daughter's treatment, she answered questions for me about another issue. She personally called to check on my daughter at the end of the day. During the procedure, one of the staff members came and got me from my car (Covid) and told me my child was doing great and allowed me to go back with her to peak in. The entire staff was wonderful! This is a great dentist and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone in need of dental care for their children!

Both doctors worked on 2 of my kids today and they both were very thorough with explanations about what was being done and what the kids could expect. I was very pleased with the care my kids received and how well the office staff treated us.

If anyone needs a dentist for their child, go to Cherokee Children's Dentistry no RUN to them. I cannot say enough good things about them. We were referred to them for having to get cavities filled for my 3year old son. They were AMAZING!!! 5 stars all the way! They take care of your babies. They are extremely welcoming and so sweet. They are people who love their job and it shows 100%. They want you to understand the whole process and take time to answer questions and talk to you. Thank you for taking such good care of my baby and easing my worry. Dr. Drew even called after hours this evening to check on my son.

Our son has EXTREME anxiety with dental work. Despite that he had to have a lot of work done. I am sure Dr Miles and his team had a very difficult time. He was honest but also still so positive about our son. We know how hard it must have been! They accomplished everything needed and we are beyond grateful for them.
