It is my honor to be the Newtown Square, PA communitys trusted family and cosmetic dentist. Growing up in Philadelphia, I graduated from St. Josephs Prep before attending Fairfield University for my undergraduate degree. I continued on to Temple University School of Dentistry where I earned my Doctorate of Dental Medicine.

In order to stay current with the newest updates in dentistry, I take an average of 50 credits of continuing education each year. I strongly believe that regularly enhancing and broadening my knowledge of dentistry is the most important means of offering the many facets of modern dentistry to my patients.

As a longtime resident and third-generation dentist, it is my goal to provide gentle, high quality care for patients of all ages. I started my practice in 1990 following in the footsteps of my father who began practicing in 1961 in Havertown, PA, and my grandfather who began practicing in 1929 in Southwest Philadelphia! Thats three generations of dentists who have earned the trust of countless patients over the span of 86 years! Many of our patients started with Chermol Dentistry decades ago as children. Now, I am seeing the children and grandchildren of those patients!

My family is the most important thing in my life, and much of my time outside the office is spent with them, whether were going skiing or Im coaching their sports teams. My wife, Stacy, and I have three children, Nicholas, Noelle, and Michael, and I cant forget our little Chihuahua, Valentino!

As your dentist, I feel that it is my responsibility to listen to your needs and help you create a unique treatment plan that will give you the beautiful smile you want. It is my promise to you that when you visit Chermol Dentistry, you will receive the outstanding care you deserve.

We recognize that all of our patients are unique and deserve to receive dental care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented dental team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding dental experience every time you visit our practice.

I was really nervous about seeing a dentist. I had an initial consultation with Dr. Chermol and his staff greeted me with a warm smile and a relaxed feeling. The doctor and his staff gave me a clear treatment plan on how I can get better. You have a patient for life!!

Outstanding service, latest innovations, and fun atmosphere. My entire family has been going her for many years for routine maintenance to more complex procedures including Invisalign. Highly recommend.

I live in Tanzania now and only had a few days back home to take care of a dental emergency. Our family dentist, Dr. Chermol saw me (during his lunch break) the same day I called, and my emergency was taken care of by sunset. Amazing.

I've been a patient of Ed's forever. AND he's been very patient with me. He knows I get dentist chair white coat syndrome and is so understanding and going to him has made visits less stressful. He's the best!

Dr. Ed Chermol and staff are a unique blend of humor, professionalism and fun. This coming from a person petrified of the dentist! As you enter, it is evident this isn't your typical scary dentist office because he plays an awesome play list, not elevator music. The entire staff jokes around with each other and you. His charisma and energy is obviously what leads this office. It appears so much fun, I want to work there! However don't be fooled. When he needs to get down to business Ed does it. Every step he takes is thoroughly thought out with you as part of the team. He informs you and allows you to have control of the direction he takes. For example, I had two teeth with problems. He wanted to work on one because he saw it as more of a potential problem. However, I said the other tooth was causing some pain so he switched his course of action after listening to me!! Ed Chermol and his staff are awesome!!

Finally decided to find another dentist after appointments were canceled by the dentist. The straw that broke the camel's back was the appointment that never got into the office computer! The office happened to be closed that day. Glad I had the presence of mind to call before I came. Left a message but no return phone call and no apology from Dr. Chermol. Time to find a practice that values its patients.

The first time I went here 6 months ago, I thought the dentist was a little quirky, but didn't mind it and didn't feel like finding another dentist. I had my second "cleaning" last week and it was by far the most unprofessional and sub-par cleaning I've had in my life. I was about 30 mins late due to some intense traffic that morning, so was expecting to be waiting awhile, etc. When I got into the chair, the dentist and hygienist sat down and began making jokes about how they mix up patient files, don't get back to you when they say they're going to etc. I had mentioned that I worked in "Billboards" and they joked about getting a billboard saying these things and how it would boost their business. Besides being not funny at all, I decided to let it go and carry on with my cleaning so I could get to work. The dentist then proceeded to take the large hook shaped tool and dig into my gums, causing them to gush blood. When he took the tool out you could see a large piece of skin, but yet he continued to tell me I needed to floss better. He then got up to help other patients, talk to other staff, etc for about 10 minutes. When he came back, he rushed through the part where they are supposed to take the plaque off of your teeth. Didn't bother flossing my teeth, rather shoving one of those flosser picks through my already bleeding gums on only ONE side of my mouth. He then hurried through the brushing of my teeth. I'm not joking when I tell you toothpaste flew out of my mouth and onto my forehead, cheeks and even shoulder. All within about 10 minutes time. And that was the extent of my "Cleaning". If I could get reimbursed to get a cleaning done by a true professional I certainly would try. I will absolutely never go back to this establishment. It was so unprofessional, rude and honestly a waste of a "cleaning". I have never felt so uneasy at a Dentist's office in my life. Get it together. Because what I experienced was horrifying to say the least.

This guy screwed my mouth up I was missing one tooth now I have no front teeth and a wrecked root canal with no cap ever put on I had all my teeth in the front but one I had a second opinion and I was told to get a lawyer that's how bad my mouth is now severely constant pain and his wife who works in office told me they won't fix my mouth again last time I was in so I'm talking to a lawyer now
