Dr. Hadfield grew up in a small town in northern Utah where he developed a love for the outdoors. He graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in southern California in 2009, after which he returned to Utah to practice dentistry.

In 2015, he sold his dental practice and, with his wife Melissa and their three children, moved to Alaska to pursue their own Alaskan adventure! Since moving to North Pole, Dr. Hadfield has discovered a passion for photography, and he appreciates the natural beauty Alaska has to offer. He and his family are proud to call North Pole home.

Dr. Hadfields favorite part of dentistry is the opportunity to interact with and get to know so many wonderful people. His warm and personable demeanor helps ease the concerns of patients who might be a little nervous. Hes always had an artistic eye for detail and loves the opportunity dentistry provides him to use his talents to help other people.

Upon graduation from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1979, Dr. Eric Buetow packed up his truck and headed north to Alaska, really north, where he spent two years in Barrow working in the Public Health Service.

A new passion for dog mushing landed him in North Pole when he left Barrow in 1981. There, he joined a North Pole dental practice and went on to compete in three Iditarod races and one Yukon Quest. His practice continues today at the corner of Badger Road and Horseshoe Way.

Dr. Buetow and his wife Katie, who has played an integral role in the practice over the years, enjoy the many seasonal outdoor activities Alaska has to offer, particularly cross-country skiing and exploring the waters of Prince William Sound. They have two sons, Alex and Jordan.

Ive been married to my husband Jonathan for 12 years, and together, we have four children. We moved to North Pole in 2011 for my husband to pursue a career with the Local 375 Plumbers/Pipefitters Union. I enjoy spending time with our family, cake baking/decorating, and makeup application.

I began my dental career as an assistant in 1995, and continued my education at the University of Anchorage to become a dental hygienist in 2004. Being a hygienist allows me to work with all kinds of people and build relationships with them. Education is an important aspect of my job, and I spend a lot of time explaining to my patients the best ways to care for their oral health at home. I feel very supported by our team here, since the doctors are patient, kind, and do excellent dental work. They care about their patients and their staff like family.

I married Brandon in 2003 and have three children, Arina, Blayne, and Parker. We also have a Border Collie lab named Mickey and a Cocker Spaniel, Sammy. I am a hockey mom in winter and a soccer mom/coach in summer. I like quiet days to crochet, do bookwork for my husbands truck driving business, exercise, and cook. I also enjoy our hockey road trips to bond with my kids, as well as our trips to our cabin in Central to play with our 4-wheelers, and going on hikes with my parents.

I graduated from UAF with a dental assisting certificate and worked as a dental assistant from 2005 to 2011. In 2013, I graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. My time with Dr. Hadfield and our team here began in 2014, and Im so happy to be a part of this team. We all have the same focus on our patients and try to provide them with the best care possible. My ultimate goal is to provide my patients with the education to become motivated to improve their oral health.

I have lived here in Alaska three different times throughout my life due to the military. My husband has since gotten out and decided to make our home here. We have two boys born in 2010 and 2017. We love being outdoors whenever possible! I try to take my kids out to the various events around the community, enjoy being active and staying fit by lifting weights, and love to read when I have a moment.

I began my career in dentistry as a dental assistant in 2005, receiving my training right here at Chena Dental Care. I decided that I wanted to pursue dental hygiene and, in 2008, was accepted in the UAF dental hygiene school. In 2010, I began my new position here as a registered dental hygienist! I am here to give our patients proper in-office oral therapy and education on how to maintain good oral health at home. The most rewarding part of my job is getting to know my patients and building a relationship with them, as well as seeing the improvements in their oral health.

I started working as a dental assistant in 1996 and graduated dental hygiene school at UAA in 1999. I have been a part of Dr. Hadfields team since 2014. I provide a wide range of services, all of which prevent or treat oral disease and promote ideal oral health. Its a team effort alongside Drs. Buetow and Hadfield, who listen and genuinely care about our patients needs and wants. The best part of my day is when my patients finally realize how important dental health is and make a commitment to improve their home care. Seeing the results of that commitment is what makes my job rewarding!
