Prior to moving to the Bay Area, Dr. Yvonne Chen lived her childhood years in Taiwan, then moved to Massachusetts. She attended Milton Academy for high school, graduated Clark University with cum laude, and worked at Harvard University's cell biology department, before attending the prestigious Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston. She has been practicing dentistry for about 10 years, serving the East Bay Fremont community for the past 5. Dr. Chen never ceases to learn and stays abreast with continuing education and cutting edge technology. She places comprehensive quality dental care and comfort of her patients as her number one priority. She is a firm believer that old age does not have to mean having no teeth.
When Dr. Chen is not spending time with her patients to improve their smile, you can find her enjoying the great outdoors, watching documentaries or indie films, practicing yoga, listening to music, or learning to dance.

Dr Chen is very gentle and attentive. Her assistant is also gentle and caring. The office staff is friendly and accommodating. Worth the drive from Castro Valley area. Easy parking. Make sure not to follow the gps at the last mile as it doesn't show the school pick up traffic and it's bad. The office is clean, new equipment. Very happy with her service. She takes her time to provide with great care.

Dr Chen is an outstanding dentist and even deals very well with people who hate to have anything done to their teeth like me. She is calm, thoughtful, thorough and shares all treatment options and prices with you in a friendly and non-pushy way. The clinic is spotless and super modern and support staff very friendly and efficient. She also refers to excellent local specialists if needed. She will do her best for you. I have been with her for two plus years now and she has methodically dealt with a number of issues I had stemming from neglect.

Dr. Chen is outstanding. In my experience, it is rare to find a dentist who not only focuses on the immediate details of my dental hygiene but on creating a plan for my overall oral health. The staff are friendly and helpful, too. My family have been patients since 2017 and we highly recommend her practice.

Dr.Chen is absolutely amazing. She is knowledgable, detailed-oriented, and really cares for the well-being of your teeth! I love how she always clearly explains what she's doing and why she's doing it. She is careful and always mindful of your comfort; many times, she'll notice right away when I'm digging my nails into my hands (I'm a terrible flosser, so my gums are always sensitive during cleanings) and she'll stop and ask if I was ok. All her staff are also really nice and courteous. They take the time to explain procedures and are great all around.

A+ dentist. I really do not know where to start: I had a dental emergency (sudden unstoppable toothache), and Dr. Chen was able to schedule a thorough appointment only a few hours later. Really a life saver. She diagnosed an early stage abscess and routed me to an endodontist in the same building. Overall a great experience and a perfect root canal + crown. On top of it, I need to thank Dr. Chen for showing me how to use my Sonicare correctly. No dentist before ever taught me how to use a toothbrush effectively, and that was a lesson that I (and my teeth) will remember for a very long time.

Dr. Chen is an amazing dentist. She is always very professional and really prepared in all the different procedure I had on my teeth. I never experienced a problem after any of the treatment she performed on me. I have been treated for a cavity and for a wisdom tooth extraction and I was totally satisfied. Her office is super clean and her staff really friendly and prepared. She is always available if you have an emergency or some question after the procedure. I also really like her office: clean, new and well organized. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing service. Just to cite one example: I never had any kind of pain after the wisdom tooth extraction. The same night I was out with my friend, thanks to Dr. Chen.
