Dr. Chen is very attentive to detail and takes time with every patient for one-on-one discussions about dental options and what would be best for their overall oral health.
Our dentist, Dr. Jessica Y. Chen, has more than 20 years of experience practicing dentistry. She has done clinical teaching and dental research for many years. She completed two years of postdoctoral training and a one-year fellowship in Advanced General Dentistry and was an Assistant Professor at the University of Rochester Eastman Dental Center. In addition, she was a member of the Faculty Practice Group at the University Of Rochester Department Of Dentistry for many years before she assumed the responsibility of our office in 2001.
Kathy has spent her entire career in dentistry. She has worked as an assistant, in a dental lab, and front desk, office manager and treatment coordinator positions. The most rewarding part of the job for her is to see patients come in, not smiling and covering their mouth and then after dental treatment, to see them confident, at ease, smiling and laughing. In her free time, Kathy enjoys traveling with Tim, needle crafts and spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Holly is a native from Greece and currently lives in West Henrietta. She attended MCC for dental hygiene. She enjoys helping others and working with the patients in maintaining their optimal health. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Troy and her two children, Leo and Carly. She is an avid bowler, loves working out and trying new recipes.
Sara graduated the dental assisting program in 2011. She has since worked in dentistry expanding her skills and specialties. She has a strong desire to help others with her compassionate attitude. Sara enjoys gardening, art, weightlifting and spending time with her husband and dogs in her free time.

Recently Dr. Chen performed procedures after a molar was broken. A root canal was needed to be done but the remaining tooth was saved so that a post and crown could complete the procedure. Dr. Chen uses the tools of her trade skillfully ensuring the patient is informed and comfortable.

As a former dental assistant of Dr. Chen and current patient, she is the best dentist in Rochester! I have zero complaints. My whole family goes to Dr. Chen and will continue to. If you want quality, professional and thorough dental care, you ought to schedule with Dr. Chen's team! Kathy (receptionist) and Holly (hygienist) really make you feel right at home. (Also zero pain when you get numb, ZERO!)

Chen Family Dentistry is outstanding. The staff is courteous and thoughtful. The facility is immaculate. Dr Chen is an excellent dentist. She communicated well with me regarding both necessary and recommended procedures so that I understood the difference and could better plan my dental health care. She repaired a badly damaged crown for me and did so with utmost consideration for my comfort and the quality of my crown. Excellent experience.

Chen Family Dentistry is a small and cozy little place that makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door. The entire building is tastefully decorated, which reflects the expertise awaiting you. Dr. Chen is kind and patient, and happy to explain everything in layman terms. There are small details all throughout the business that show how much the staff truly cares for their patients, such as air purifiers in every room and really comfy chairs. Dental work is something I have always been terrified of but I truly feel comfortable with Dr. Chen. I know that she will be slow and patient and prioritize my comfortability as a patient. I will continue to recommend people to her practice, and I look forward to getting cleanings here.

My husband uses this office often. But today I was disappointed because I brought in my 2year old for his first dental appointment and was ready to pay cash since his insurance wasn't accepted by them. I came in 15mins early, my appointment was at 10.30am. i was ushered into one of the consulting room and after that i waited in there with my baby for first 25mins. Dr. Chen comes and checks briefly(3 to 5mins less) what to do on my son and then she was called to attend to another client while we still waited in that consulting room. I walked out of the office (when nothing else was done to my son) exactly 11.22am, which is almost an hour because DR.chen's assistant kept on taking her away to other clients that came after us. It's not easy to keep a toddler to sit patiently especially if they miss their food time. Don't get me wrong, Dr. Chen is a wonderful and lovely lady but today wasn't the day to skip a toddler for adults. I won't ever be coming here and advice people to take toddlers to other places that keep to time. Update February 9th 2022. Came in with my son who is 5-year-old now. He uses Fidelis insurance. The insurance is useless, so cash was used. Dr. Chen attended to him because the dental hygienist was sick for the day. Did excellent cleaning and application of fluoride. Played some cartoon to calm his nerves. Took time to evaluate and there was no cavity found. All in all it was excellent service today. She also attended to my appointment as well. She did CT scan and x-ray for future dental implant. She spent almost 2 hours with me and my son. I am a very satisfied client today. Dr. Chen talks with you and explains everything according to your understanding. She is mild and very respectful. There is no rush job with her. When they have emergencies that is when you may be delayed. So my previous post was based on that delay. We will continue to consult with Dr. Chen with our family dental issues.

Dr. Chen is the best dentist I ever have. She is highly professional and skillful, and pays tremendous attention to the long term dental health of the patient. The clinic is roomy and artfully decorated, giving a relaxed atmosphere.

I had been looking for a good dentist for about a year. I not only found a good dentist but an excellent one. Dr. Chen is all about perfection. The office is easy to locate right off the expressway. The staff is incredibly accommodating.
