Community Health Centers of the Central Coast began operation in 1978, in a small building in Nipomo California, with 7 employees and a part-time volunteer doctor. As of early 2021 we have over 800 employees in 31 state-licensed clinics, and provide more than 450,000 visits annually.
Our health centers are located in San Luis Obispo County and Northern Santa Barbara County onthe Central Coast of California. Our patient population includes low income, uninsured communitymembers with special emphasis on special populations such as homeless, school-based, migrant and seasonal farm workers, and public housing residents.
Our primary care staffing includes: Family Practice, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, and OB/GYNPhysicians. In addition, we have Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Dentists, Optometrists, Behavioral Health clinicians, Chiropractors, Registered Dietitians/Certified Diabetic Education, and other ancillarystaff. In addition, to primary care we have a variety of specialists that provide services on-site orthrough telemedicine.
Community Health Centers Board of Directors provide leadership and guidance to support our mission. As community members and concerned individuals, they collaborate with our leadership to guide the organization.

I was about maybe two minutes late to the appointment and they refused to do my fillings. They keep you waiting in your chair for nearly an hour before actually examining you. Not one of the best dental places that I have visited.

Worst place ever to come and pay for your dental needs. They take at least an hour before you see them. Keep you in the chair waiting. My husband had sentiviness in his fillings that he got done at this place for ever. They are careless period. Can't believe they are still in business.

I am writing this review after coming back to my hometown dentist that I have seen since I was 5. I am just in shock and awe that this place would take so much advantage. If you have insurance, beware! They will try and take you out for everything. I am 24 and was told I needed a deep cleaning on both sides. Also, I was told I had 6 cavities. What they failed to say was that my fillings were already done by my long time dentist. Coast Dental removed them all and put in their own ones so they could charge me. Also, my dentist at home told me that the deep cleaning is a scam and that only years of tooth neglect would need such an invasive process. Coast Dental ripped me off completely. The worst part was that when doing these procedures, the dentist was going in between me and another patient and I could not get the full focus of her while paying over $800 for it. Also, when I reported I had a lot of pain afterwards, it took so much effort to go and have the dentist want to look at me. The dentist barely gave me a minute of time. This is why I went to my dentist when I went home. I was still in pain and then learned what I already realized to be true. I felt so mistreated and absolutely scammed. Please do NOT go here.

I was very disappointed with this dentist. I went in for an exam and cleaning. The dentist did the cleaning, not the hygenist. And it seemed like he hadn't done one in years. He was clumsy, not very thorough and very messy. Then he took about 30 seconds to examine my teeth and that was it. I left feeling like I had just been scammed. Hard to believe he was a trained dentist. I wouldn't recommend this dentist to anyone.
