Meet Dr. Colin Shawhan! He graduated from OU College of Dentistry in 2014 and purchased our practice in 2016. He loves to create and restore beautiful smiles, and would love the opportunity to help you meet your dental goals.
A photographer, Dr. has studied portraiture, composition and color theory. Being behind the camera and in Lightroom has allowed him to develop a subtle sense of how to make people look their best, fast. It doesnt always require a ton of dental work! Youll find photographs around the office taken by Dr. Shawhan on his family vacations, or Wichita Zoo.
A member of Seattle Study Club, Colin is constantly expanding and developing his procedure portfolio. We are in the process of adding implants to the mix! Colins philosophy is a group is always smarter than an individual and he encourages input from his team, because a different point of view always has something to offer.
Joleen is an absolute gem! She brings a level of hospitality and personal warmth that is difficult to find. You may not even realize how hard she is working behind the scenes because being in her presence feels like a bear hug.
Sheri Smylie is not only the best dental assistant on the planet, she is a whiz with dentures! Do you have a sore spot or an annoying clasp bugging you? Dr. Colin Shawhan and Sheri Smylie will figure it out.

Chautauqua Hills Dental has been providing dental care for patients in the Greater Chautauqua Countyarea since 1997. The practice has existed for much longer under solo ownership, but in a different building on Main Street and using a different name.

A great day it was visiting Chautauqua Hills dentist. The dental Technician was certainly amazing, caring and very knowledgeable!! More knowledgeable than I've ever seen any other dentists technician. The dentist was very caring and professional as well as knowledgeable and helpful. Got me in and out in no time,no pain,even though that tooth was so stubborn he was so patient! I would recommend the to anyone. An they are compassionate and will work with you,even if you don't have dental insurance.

Home of the BEST pocket-book friendly clear aligners!! I was nervous about braces both for the cost and look of them. Dr. Shawhan and his team have given me a beautiful smile that agrees with my bank account and the mirror. Chautauqua Hills Dental is the best.

One of the worst dentist experiences I've had. Went in needing a tooth pulled that was hurting so bad I was crying. I was also pregnant at the time. They said nothing was wrong with the tooth that was obviously putting me in pain and recommended me over the counter medicine I wasn't even suppose to take while being pregnant and rescheduled me to come get a cleaning for a month out. Went to a different dentist the next day and they could tell right away what was wrong and pulled the tooth for me!

I was at ease , the assistant that helped me was very good , she told me about everything that was going to happen to me, I understood what to expect when I get my teeth pulled and about my false teeth and how they'll work. thank you for making me feel at ease
