'We begin by taking the time to get to know you and what you want and expect from dentistry and us,' said Dr. Lunn. 'We have found that working together in your best interest is more predictable, more fun, and produces lasting results.'

I have noted that fewer than 1% of new patients coming into my practice have set goals and outlined plans with their former dentists, Dr. Lunn notes. Most dont even know much about the causes of dental disease, let alone much about their existing dental condition. For us, we begin here.

Our patients 5-star Google Reviews are a testimony to how we value their dental health. Dr. Lunn makes a point of understanding your individual goals, financial issues, and oral health goals to offer options suited to your needs.

At Chattanooga Family Dentistry, we dont try to save time by rushing through diagnosis and treatment planning. We create the time to adequately 'plan before we begin' so we dont waste your time or money.

No two patients are exactly alike, and no two treatment plans are exactly alike. In every aspect of life, things go better with a plan. No one would build a house or a business without a plan. No one should begin any important dentistry without a plan.

With 25 years of dental experience, Dr. Lunn is skilled at creating treatment plans tailored to patients unique needs. In addition to hundreds of hours of continuing education, Dr. Lunn is an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and has advanced sedation training.

Bioesthetic dentistry combines form, function, and esthetics for a comprehensive solution to dental problems. The bioesthetic dentist is concerned about how teeth function but equally concerned about preserving facial youth and beauty, a combined approach that requires meticulous attention to detail.

Youve probably heard the term 'measure twice cut once.' At Chattanooga Family Dentistry, we measure three times before we treat. This attention to detail ensures weve properly planned your treatment before we begin.

I have found that most mistakes in dentistry are caused by someone being in too much of a hurry to treat before adequate planning is completed,' said Dr. Lunn. 'By taking time at the start, we save time, pain, and expense down the road. It works better this way.

From our noise-reducing headphones to the flat-screen monitors in every treatment room, we take your comfort seriously. We even engage your senses with aromatherapy scented candles and warm blankets to make your visit as relaxing as possible.

Dr. Lunn believes in utilizing the latest technology to provide his patients with the best in comprehensive, preventive dental care. Here are some the latest developments in dentistry that you will find in our office:

To protect our patients and ourselves our staff wears masks, gloves, and safety glasses. We exceed all Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines. Whenever possible, disposable single use items are used to insure your safety. All reusable instruments are cleaned, disinfected and sterilized exceeding recommendations by the American Dental Association and Center for Disease Control. Water lines use water purifying tablets and are flushed with antimicrobials regularly. Hand pieces (drills) are sterilized with state-of-the-art sterilization units specifically designed for this purpose. All surfaces in the treatment rooms are cleaned, disinfected, and covered with disposable plastic (where applicable) which is discarded after each patient.

To improve your care we've invested in a new way of looking into your moutha procedure that's fast, and incredibly precise digital x-rays. Even more amazing is that we get an image immediately that is large, clear, and accurate, right next to your chairready for discussion. Digital x-ray technology speeds and simplifies the diagnostic part of your treatment, and most importantly allows us to provide a much higher level of care.

Digital radiography makes for fast and easy evaluation of even the most complex dental conditions. The instantaneous, clear computer screen image allows us to immediately discuss the findings with you. Together, we can examine the outer and inner structures and tissues of each tooth, the surrounding roots, root canals, and gums.

Previous dental treatment required long series of x-rays to determine what was going on in someone's mouth. Then there was time in the darkroom, developing the x-rays in chemicals, followed by even more time spent examining films on a special light board. But this cumbersome process is entirely outmoded by digital radiography. Now, you simply relax in the dental chair while we briefly position a tiny 'sensor' inside your mouth. The sensor acts like a miniature VCR camera, having a chip that is sensitive to x-rays, rather than light. As a result, you're exposed to 90% less radiation than with traditional x-ray techniques. We receive a highly detailed image almost instantaneously on our computer screen. These images have all the conveniences of other digitized images: we can rotate it, magnify it, adjust it for contrast, and even color-code it for educational purposes. For insurance purposes, referrals, or patient education, it can be easily, inexpensively and faithfully reproduced any number of times.

It used to be that when your dentist wanted to let you know what was going on inside your mouth, he or she took a look around and then verbally described what they saw. Perhaps you'd even get to look in a mirror, squinting and searching around, trying to understand what he was talking about. But now, thanks to a wonderful new technology called an intra-oral camera, you can relax in your chair while simultaneously observing a real-time movie of the inside of your mouth in a digital format, magnified 35 times its normal size, on an adjacent TV monitor! Our intra-oral camera & digital imaging allow us to observe, diagnose and communicate clearly whats going on inside your mouth, while reducing your exposure to radiation. Not only does this make it simple to see and understand what Dr. Lunn is diagnosing, but it makes it simple for us to keep incredibly accurate records from one visit to the next.

When Dr. Lunn works on your teeth, he'll most likely be wearing a funny-looking pair of glasses. These 'glasses' are actually surgical telescopes that allow him to see and evaluate intricate details as he works, making tiny but important adjustments to the procedure that would go unnoticed with the naked eye.

Dental implants are small titanium rods that Dr. Lunnwill surgically place into your jawbone.Implants function like tooth roots and are designed to provide a solid foundation for crowns, bridges, and dentures. Unlike traditional dentistry restorations such as dental bridges or removable dentures, implants never move or shift in the mouth. Whether you have one tooth missing or have lost an entire arch of teeth, dental implants offer a permanent solution for restoring your smile and overall oral health.

With over 100 hours of continuing education completed annually, Dr. Andrew Lunn is regarded as a local leader in implant dentistry. He has received numerous certifications, awards, and recognition for his achievements in the field and is dedicated to offering his experience for your treatment.

Im leaving this review for the reader as much as I am for Dr. Lunn and his staff. I have lived in seven different states. Consequently Ive had seven different dentist. I will tell you unequivocally, Dr. Lunn is a true professional and has put a phenomenal team around him. You will not regret your decision. This guy is a technician and a true craftsman of his trade. I did my research before coming here just as you are now, and I can assure you, I have zero regrets.

Friendly staff, clean office. Everyone seemed very focused on patient education and explaining in-detail why they were doing everything. I learned a few things while I was there, for sure. I also had questions about insurance coverage on certain findings, and they provided a very easy-to-understand written estimate for everything that would fall on me. The office dog is a plus, too. He's pretty cool.

Diabetes, heart disease, and other autoimmune disorders may put you at higher risk for complications or implant failure. We evaluate each patient on an individual basis to determine their candidacy for implants.

Yes. Although insurance plans do not normally cover dental implant surgery, they can cover a portion of your restoration costs. Our compassionate, friendly staff will work with your carrier to get you the maximum coverage available. We acceptinsurance plans such as:

If you do not have insurance, or out-of-pocket costs make you hesitant to restore your oral health with dental implants, Dr. Lunn also offers affordable financing through CareCredit. This trusted lender works with your individual budget to break out-of-pocket costs into low-interest monthly payments.

Contact our Chattanooga practice to discuss how we can make your dental implant treatment more affordable through insurance or financing. Feel free to use our simple online form or just pick up the phone and call us. Dr. Lunn wants all his patients to have the best possible smile despite budgetary worries.

In addition to providing a range of sedation options, various amenities are available throughout the office to help you relax and feel at home. Want to zone out? We have noise-reduction headphones and DVDs available. Wrap up in a cozy blanket and enjoy the smell of scented candles throughout the office. Here at Chattanooga Family Dentistry, we strive to create a safe and comfortable experience for our patients. If theres anything we can do to make your implant visit more pleasant, just let us know.

After administering anesthesia, or if needed, sedation to ensure you are completely pain-free and at ease, Dr. Lunn will make a small incision into the gums. The titanium implant is then carefully placed into the bone socket of the missing tooth.

The dental implant site will heal in four to six months. As the area heals, a process called osseointegration takes place in which the titanium post fuses with the bone. This ensures your implant is securely anchored to the jaw, creating a stable foundation for the next stage of your dental treatment.

We pride ourselves on using the latest state-of-the-art technology for dental implants in our Chattanooga, TN, dental office. Modern dentistry allows us to use the latest tools available to ensure the success of implant surgery.

Dental implants are an investment in your oral health. While implant surgery may seem expensive, the benefits are lifelong. Traditional methods of replacing teeth such as bridges and dentures require frequent adjustments. These adjustments add up over time and require more dental visits. According to the Dental Implant Guide, dental implants offer a95%success rate over 40 to 50 years. We offer a wide range of insurance plans to help offset the cost of implants.

All the employees were very polite and nice and the doctor is very professional. I have been suffering with a bad wisdom tooth and they took me in right away. I would recommend doctor Lunn to everyone I know.

So I struggle with anxiety. And my experience at chattanooga family dentistry could have not went better. Supper nice staff and it doesn't hurt to have a cute puppy walking around. It was more like a spa than a dentist office. I recommend this place if you are scared/nervous about a dentist visit.

Another great experience at Chattanooga Family Dentistry. I was a bit nervous going in because I felt my dental health had declined a bit. I was pleasantly surprised to find I was in great oral health and the team made sure I was comfortable during my time here! Becky is a 10/10 and she truly makes me feel like I'm chatting with an old friend during my visit and she is gentle. If you're looking for a place to come this would be it! It's in a very convenient location and overall just feels like a good place...that's saying a lot about a doctors type visit!

Once again, so much attention to detail without pushing too hard for additional work. "When you are ready". I Always push too long to get it done but Dr Lunn always gives me gentle reminders. Not like some dentist of my past who only seem interested in doing quantities and not quality. Thanks Dr Lunn and team

I hate the dentist. Let me rephrase that actually. I USED to hate the dentist. Every single person I talked to or even interacted with was unbelievably nice. From the moment I stepped in the door til the last bit of work I had done they treated me amazing. They always made sure I was comfortable and okay with everything that was going on. I've never had an experience like this at any dentist in my life. My first time going here and I had pretty serious work done and they were amazing. My mouth has never felt better. I'd recommend this dentist to anyone even people like me who get uncomfortable at the dentist.
