Jancy A. Parkerson-McGovern, DMD, FICOI, is a native of Eastman, Georgia. She attended Mercer University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Chemistry in 2009. She then obtained her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University (formerly Medical College of Georgia) in 2013. After graduation, Dr. Parkerson continued her dental education with a two-year General Practice Residency also at The Dental College of Georgia. During residency, she became proficient in various surgical aspects of dentistry such as dental implants, IV conscious sedation, and dentally complex patients.
After residency, Dr. Parkerson entered into private practice as an independent contractor at various offices in the Augusta metro area where she practiced for several years. During that time, she also served as a part-time clinical instructor in the Department of Restorative Science and General Practice Residency at The Dental College of Georgia.
She enjoys practicing with her husband, Dr. Daniel McGovern, and serving patients together. In her practice, she focuses on comprehensive care with an emphasis on surgical, sedation, and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Parkerson also incorporates Botox and dermal fillers into her practice in order to treat comprehensive facial aesthetics. She enjoys lecturing to colleagues on facial aesthetics, Botox, and dermal fillers as well.
Dr. Parkerson is dual-licensed in both Tennessee and Georgia, and she remains adjunct faculty at The Dental College of Georgia. She is also an active member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, Hinman Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and a fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantology.
Daniel C. McGovern, DMD, MS is a native of Albany, GA. He attended Georgia Southern University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Masters of Science in Microbiology. After graduation, Dr. McGovern worked at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, GA as a microbiologist conducting hepatitis research.
Dr. McGovern then obtained his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Dental College of Georgia in 2018. Following graduation, Dr. McGovern continued his dental education with a hospital based General Practice Residency program also at the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta.
Dr. McGovern is an active member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his wife and dogs (Maggie and Paisley). He also is an avid sports fan and enjoys rooting for his favorite teams, Florida State Seminoles, Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Falcons.

Michele was by far the best dental hygienist that I've ever had. She was so attentive and made sure I was comfortable. Michele explained everything to me as she was taking the x-rays and while she was doing the cleaning. This was my first visit and I can only say nice things about the whole staff, Dr Dan and Michele. Thank you and I'm looking forward to my next appointment.

I would have given them a perfect score had the price of nitrous gas not been so high. I have to have it when I have dental work done. And it's just very expensive to have more than once. Since insurance doesn't cover it. Other than that I was very impressed with all the people and the jobs they did for me. I will continue to go there. And I will recommend them to friends and family

Jessica took phenomenal care of me while I was there for a tooth abscess. Dr. McGovern was upfront and honest with me about my situation and Was great in deciding the best treatment plan for me! The girls up front were so nice and had al my future conselts already set for me and called and had everything prearranged!
