Dr. Downey is a native graduate of Murray County High School in 1990. He obtained a Bachelors Degree in Biology from West Georgia College in Carrollton, Georgia in 1996. He subsequently obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Medical College of Georgia in Augusta in 2000.
Upon completing dental school, Dr. Downey joined and served as a Captain in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 2003. After this time, Dr. Downey joined Chatsworth Family Dentistry in 2003 as an associate dentist. In 2006 Dr. Downey purchased Chatsworth Family Dentistry and is now the sole proprietor.
Dr. Caylor graduated from Pickens County High School in 1968 and received an Associates of Arts degree from Reinhardt College in 1970. He graduated from the University Of Georgia School Of Pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1973, and went on to practice pharmacy from 1973-1976 in Atlanta. In 1978 he graduate from Emory University School of Dentistry and moved to Dalton. Dr. Caylors practice in Dalton was sold in 2008 but he continued to practice dentistry for the next few years at the same location.
Dr. Caylor joined Chatsworth Family Dentistry in 2015 part-time and after 40 years still continues to enjoy helping patients. While not practicing dentistry, he enjoys being with his wife of 46 years, daughter and son-in-law, and three wonderful grandchildren. His hobby is tinkering with his antique automobiles.
Keri graduated from Floyd College in 2005 with an associate degree and has been a member of our our team since 2005. She loves working with the public and getting to know her patients. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her husband and two daughters.
Missy is a native of Murray County and a 1985 graduate of MCHS. She attended Clayton State College and attained an Associate of Arts Degree in Dental Hygiene in 1987. She is licensed in the states of Georgia and South Carolina. She worked in pediatric dentistry for 6 years prior to joining Chatsworth Family Dentistry in 1997. She enjoys meeting new people and providing them with the best possible dental care. She is married and has two daughters and a son-in-law. When not working she enjoys spending time with her family, scrapbooking and attends Rockbridge Community Church.
Amanda joined the Chatsworth Family Dentistry team in 2002. She enjoys meeting new patients daily. Over the years our patients have become like family to her. Amanda enjoys getting to know the patients and keeping updated on their personal lives. When not working she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Cassie was born and raised in Chatsworth, Georgia. In 2011, she graduated from Kaplan College in Vista, California as a Dental Assistant. Cassie joined Chatsworth Family Dentistry in 2014. As our Front Desk Coordinator she serves our patients by greeting them with a happy smile, checking them in, answering phones and updating all patient records. Cassie and her husband are the parents of identical twin boys who keep them very busy. Cassie and her family enjoy taking vacations to Disney World any chance they get!
Chuck served in and was trained by the United States Navy from 1967 to 1977. During his last duty assignment for the Navy he worked for Triangle Dental Laboratory at Quantico, Virginia. In 1980, Chuck and his family moved to Dalton, Georgia and he began working for Dental Arts of Dalton as Lab Manager for three years. In 1983, he opened his own dental laboratory where he remained for 32 years until 2015. At that time, Chuck decided to close his business and retire, but we loved his work so much that we asked him to join our team here at Chatsworth Family Dentistry. Chuck says hes happy that he joined the practice because youre never too old to learn!
