Dr. Pasternak has provided the highest quality dental care since 1977. After graduating from the University Of Southern California School Of Dentistry, He achieved the distinction of becoming a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. This is an honor bestowed upon less than one-half of one percent of all dentists in the United States.

Dr. Pasternak Maintains professionals membership with the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the San Fernando Valley Dental Society and the American College of Forensic Examiners.

Dr. Pasternak has a thirst of knowledge that enables him to provide the newest techniques of care. While the State of California requires dentist to take a minimum of 25 hours of continuing education courses every year to maintain licensure, he routinely attends well over 200 hours of courses every year. This commitment to continuous learning keeps the entire team on the leading edge of dentistry. Dr. Pasternak has been actively involved in the Chatsworth community since he established the practice nearly forty years ago. He currently volunteers with several charitable organizations, including Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, the National Spit Tobacco Education Program, and Garth Brooks Teammates for Kids Foundation.

Permanent teeth will begin to grow around age 6, and except for wisdom teeth, are all present between ages 12 and 14. The next teeth to grow in are the 12-year molars and finally the wisdom teeth. Wisdom teeth typically begin breaking through from age 17 and on. The total number of permanent teeth is 32, though few people have room for all 32 teeth. This is why wisdom teeth are usually removed.

Your front teeth are called incisors. The sharp fang-like teeth are canines. The next side teeth are referred to as pre-molars or bicuspids, and the back teeth are molars. Your permanent teeth are the ones you keep for life, so it is vital that they are brushed and flossed regularly and that periodic check-ups by a dentist are followed.

I was referred to Dr. Pasternak yesterday by a friend because I had a wisdom tooth extracted by a dentist 2 days prior. I want completely confident that things were healing properly, as I was still in tears two days later. I called and spoke with Kim, she was SO sympathetic, said the dentist was on lunch but then put me on hold for a second, only to come back and say they will see me on their lunch break because they didn't want me to have to wait any longer in pain! Dr. Pasternak was awesome, fixed me up, and although I was in pain, had me laughing the whole time I was there. I highly recommend this office as the entire staff is amazing! I feel almost 100% and it hasn't even been a whole 24 hours. Don't think twice about making an appointment here, do it, you will not be disappointed! THANK YOU to the entire staff for giving up your personal time to help a new patient!

I and my family have been seeing Dr Pasternak for over 20 years. His technical skills are only exceeded by his compassion and concern for his patients. His office staff is friendly and efficient. I recommend him highly.
