Dr. Patel grew up in Watertown, South Dakota and attended North Dakota State University for pre-Dental studies. Following graduation, he helped to provide care to children of underserved communities around South Dakota including Indian reservations via Dakota Smiles Mobile Dental Program, a non-profit dental organization.
This experience led him to the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Mesa, Arizona where he graduated with a Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree and certificate in public health with dental emphasis. Since that time,
Dr. Patel has worked as an associate dentist throughout the Minneapolis area gaining experience and helping in the growth of several dental practices. In 2018, he joined the team at Chaska Family Dental in providing patients with pain-free comprehensive dental care with high quality results.
Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his friends and family and loves to travel and explore new areas with his wife and son. His favorite movies are Marvel movies, his favorite TV shows are The Office, Dexter, and The Big Bang Theory, and his favorite vacation destinations are San Diego and Flagstaff, Arizona.

Having been to a few different dentists, this is by far been one of the best experiences. I avoided the dentist for about 6 years and well I've been to Chaska Family dental probably 6 times over the last 6 months and today was the last visit til my next cleaning. Dr. Mueller has been fantastic to work with, always checks in to make sure your comfortable, the teeth that's she has done work too have experienced minimal sensitivity afterwards, in comparison to my last "5 star" dentist who left me with 6+ months of pain/sensitivity on the teeth he worked on. Overall extremely satisfied and highly recommend!

I highly recommend Chaska Family Dental. From booking appointment to my exam to help with checking my insurance for coverage.. everyone was professional and very nice. The office is clean ultra clean. Their equipment is new and the latest technology. So thankful I found this office!!!

They went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and got the best care for me. Awesome staff, everyone I had an interaction with was kind and understanding and even with as busy as they were they still made the time to answer my questions. Only issue I had was gps directions at the end and the parking which is out back and not where the gps said. TLDR: awesome staff and would recommend going here!

The hygentist did not polish all my teeth. The ones she did polish she whisked it by not gently polishing each tooth as has been done before. She gave me an excuse that it polishes off the enamel. The hygentist took over a half hour cleaning my teeth with the scraper thing. Saying she was extra through. I left in shock. Edited: After I called, they had me come back in and had another hygienist polish my teeth. She did a wonderful job. No scare tactics, just did the job above and beyond.

Dr. Sheel Patel is the best dentist we have been to. I have been taking my son to him for dental treatment. Dr. Patel takes utmost care of his patients and avoids unnecessary procedures if they are not absolutely required. He believes in nature taking its course and intervene only when necessary. Also he's super patient with kids. The staff is also very kind and helpful. Highly recommend this practice.

A few years ago when my daughter was a bit younger, she would not open her mouth for a dentist to even look. My sister told us about this place so we figured we would give it a try. From the phone call we could tell they were nice. & The whole time during the appt was very pleasant and welcoming. The assistant was so great with my daughter and the dentist came in and was just as great. It's a bit of a drive, but will be our new dentist! 100% recommend! Thank you to the staff for being you!

I had my first appointment here yesterday and loved it! From scheduling the appointment, to the cleaning, the receptionist was very helpful and made an appointment for me with sooner availability. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth, Callie, reassured me about my previous dentist experience that it wasn't going to be like that. She was very caring, sweet, kind and respectful. After meeting Dr. Patel, I am so excited to have him as my dentist, he took the time to explain to me everything about my teeth and everything that was going on with them or any additional work that I might need. Very caring, helpful and reassuring in the whole process. I would recommend this place to my friends and family!
