In 2019, we celebrate 25 years of serving the Inland Northwest. When Community Health Association of Spokane opened its first 2- exam room clinic created to serve individuals without insurance, we had no idea it would growto meet such an important need in our communities.
During this time, we have gone through tremendous growth, with challenges and successes. Through it all, our focus has remained on the most important thing: our patients. As we move forward, we will continue to meet the needs of our communities by expanding access to quality health and wellness services.
From the beginning, we have held a strong belief that all people have the right to high-quality health care. Our goal is to remove barriers to care and provide high-quality, evidence-based care in a place that is convenient in your neighborhood, where you live, work and play all under one roof. We believe all people deserve to be treated with dignity and respect regardless of their situation.
CHAS Health is a non-profit, federally qualified health center (FQHC) that provides high-quality medical, dental, pharmacy, and behavioral health services to families and individuals of all ages, regardless of ability to pay. In 2020, we served 90,461patients throughout Spokane County and the Lewis-Clark Valley. We expect to continue to grow and bring new jobs to our economy while providing a healthcare home to more people in the Inland Northwest. Our goal is to provide a brighter, better, healthier future for all families.
CHAS Health is a non-profit federally qualified health center providing quality medical, dental, pharmacy, and behavioral health services to families and individuals of all ages,regardless of background, insurance status, orability to pay.
We are contracted with many private insurances. If you have private insurance, you will be responsible for any co-pays required by your insurance plan and any other amounts not reimbursed by them. We are also contracted with Medicare, Medicaid (including Idaho Medicaid and Washington Apple Health (Medicaid) carriers.
We will set up a time for you to meet with a Patient Resources Coordinator (PRC) who will help determine whether or not you qualify for insurance, or will establish you on our sliding fee program. If you are not able to provide proof of income for the sliding fee application or if you dont have income, you can fill out a Self-Declaration of Household Income form.
The mission of the CHAS Health Foundation is to create health equity by strategically investing in patients, partners, and communities.By choosing to donate to the CHAS Health Foundation, you are investing in access to quality healthcare for any community member in need, regardless of their situation. A donation to the CHAS Health Foundation is a vote for health equity and a step in the direction of health justice for all.
Donations to the Greatest Need (General Support) fund are used for any purpose that CHAS Health deems important or requiring immediate attentionin our community. Donations without designation are used for the greatest need currently identified in our community and in our health equity mission.
Donations to the Patient Support fund contribute to the care or treatment of individual CHAS Health patients in need, covering the expenses that remain after insurance coverage or the support of other programs. Examples may include supporting or covering the cost of:
We saw the need for a charitable foundation becausedespite CHAS Healths diligent efforts for over 25 years to provide quality healthcare for everyone in our community, regardless of their ability to payour patients still suffer from gaps in healthcare coverage today.
A patient we have helped obtain insurance and general healthcare services still might not be able to afford their costs after insurance, specialist fees, or medication expenses. The CHAS Health Foundation was created to ease the remaining needs of our patients so they might achieve wellness without incurring debt or simply having to go without needed healthcare.

I am so grateful for Dr Isaac Lines and his assistant Madison they numbed me with cotton swab before a needle, I didn't feel the needle. He talked me through every step, I didn't feel anything except the very little pull on each root he separate and pulled out being careful of my sinuses. Best care I ever had I can't be more grateful to have tried family dental and getting good care finally

Waste of time unfortunately. I have a wisdom tooth that I need to get pulled. I can't eat or sleep with the amount of pain it's been giving me. I had to miss an entire day of work just for a stupid consultation where she told me they can't pull my wisdom tooth but they referred me to someone who can. Now I'm going to have to miss even more work and still continue to be in large amounts of pain that I can't even explain. Wish I wouldn't have made the appointment and I don't ever plan to be back.

Avoid if you can. I have a UTI and an ear infection they seriously asked me to pick what one I wanted to be seen for lol. They were not going to treat my UTI that I have had for 2 months only one complaint per visit. If they hurry up and do their job fast to completely solve your pain or issues regardless how many you have. Also told me I did not have a UTI when I clearly know I have one. So I went home and dipped my own uri and brought the positive test back to them. your welcome. The MA with the purple hair and the front desk people were nice. I worked at Kaiser for 2yrs this is unheard of not going to treat me for UTI I even brought the positive test in. I also would of tested me for std's goes hand in hand with UTI and what I have told you Clearly they just care about money I will have to make an appointment for my UTI tomorrow, then my std check monday, then my thyroid Tuesday, then my fatigue for following day. $$$$$ They cram 4-5 visits in what a normal care provider can do In one stop if I was at a kaiser!!!!! Makes me miss kaiser and realize how good I had it their. Best clinic hands down. Won't give me anything for my UTI what a joke have to make another appointment $$$$$$ is all they care about. You can do it chas it's called multitasking, obviously not a skill you must have to work here. One task one complaint , one visit is policy right.

Drilled too deep on a small cavity "on accident" then told me I'll probably need a root canal. Strict 10 min checkin hard to get appointments never felt so discouraged to call the dentist.

I got the caps replaced on my front teeth. They did amazing work!!! They also made sure I wasn't in pain! Thank you Dentist Isaac Lines and Team! I got my teeth fixed on July 6th & 7th. I will recommend to family and friends!#Happy Smiling Everyone

I highly recommend this clinic. I'm absolutely terrified of the dentist and went there to have teeth extracted and they were so great. I've never had a better experience.

WOW!!!! IS THERE ANY MORE WORDS OF SUPERLATIVE PRAISE???? Maybe, Shiva!!! Dr.Shiva!!!!!!!!!! Dr.Seyyadri Shiva is Beyond EXCELLENT, a Gentleman in every way. A gentle dentist, whom I look forward to seeing. On my last visit, Dr. Shiva spent what seemed like an hour working with me on a poorly fitting Night Guard. I have had a Night Guard made prior to this one. The fitting was in and out the door. An hour is rare.... Dr. Shiva was not responsible for the poorly cast Night Guard. But, Dr. Shiva took extraordinary care to make the adjustments for a proper fit. Even after having taken the guard out and in somany times, I became disoriented between Open and Bite down. Yes, you are correct... I bit down on Dr.Shiva's finger!!! The bite was followed by an, utterly inconsiderate, outburst of LAUGHTER from my mouth. I am Inexpressibly Sorry for my bite and laughter. Dr. Shiva, My Thanks and Apologies You continued with me in a spirit of Care, Kindness and Gentleness. MAN YOU ARE GOOD!!! I am sorry, I caused you any pain. Respectfully, D.Jones

Dr. Orth is the best dentist I've been to. I feel like every dentist I've ever been to prior tortured me. With Dr. Orth and assistants I felt nothing and dang near fell asleep! Definitely recommend.
