They told my sister and my husband that the biopsy was not covered by their insurance and wanted them to to pay cash for a biopsy that was covered by their insurance policies. I verified benefits through the insurance companies. They wanted my sister to pay $495 when Medicare and Medicaid would have paid. They wanted my husband to pay $467 when CIgna would pay 80%. Cigna called them and was told by Victoria that they would NOT send the information to Cigna. I called back to talk to Victoria and she wasn't available every time I called. I left an urgent message and still have not received a call. I believe they are committing FRAUD.

Going to the dentist can be a very intimidating experience but I have to say going to Dr. Oliphant's oral surgery office is truly a very comfortable and, as crazy as it sounds, enjoyable experience. His entire staff is very friendly, comforting, pleasant and professional from the time you call for an appointment, walk through the door, are taken back for your consultation and even to the check out. I also have to take this opportunity to say that Dr. Oliphant's assistant, Carrie, is one of the best communicators and will help transition new, as well as former, patients from the first call through every step of your care. She truly loves helping people, cares and is awesome! Dr. Oliphant is also over the top with caring, helping people with, what would usually be a difficult experience, and does what most dentists or oral surgeons may not take the time to do...When necessary, he thinks outside of the box, for difficult cases, researches the BEST options and gets the job done. He does all this with a great bedside manner that makes one feel very comfortable and cared for. Thank you, Dr. Oliphant and Carrie, for such a great experience!

Over the summer I lost a front tooth and was very self conscious. After going over treatment options with my general dentist, she referred me to Dr Oliphant. The office understood my dilemma and made an urgent appointment. I decided on getting an implant. From the initial appointment to the very last, everyone was kind and all procedures were explained. Every question I had was kindly answered. Dr. Oliphant is very kind. He has a very warm and compassionate chair-side manner. His sense of humor will relax you in an otherwise stressful situation. I was extremely happy with my temporary crown. It was expertly matched by Nick. It looked like my permanent crown. It was very important to me that I purchased a temporary crown that not only looked authentic but was durable. Today Dr Oliphant told me that I could return to my general dentist for my permanent crown; that I had "graduated". It's bittersweet because I don't have to visit Dr Oliphant and the staff anymore. I am extremely grateful for Dr Oliphant and his office staff for helping me make a traumatic experience a memorable one. I highly recommend their services to anyone or their family.

They were phenomenal. The whole entire staff was nice and they made sure to inform me that everything was going to be okay. I was there for 4 of my wisdom teeth to get removed and the procedure did not take long at all. Dr. Oliphant Is the best and I would recommend him and his team to anyone

EDIT. Pre-surgery consultation: RUSHED. Important post-surgery care instructions not discussed. Only one tooth hurting, and pressured to remove FOUR. (See next.) -1 Day of surgery: Last-minute release form concerning certain bone and tooth fragments. I definitely would have wanted to know about this weeks ago. -1 Post-surgery follow-up: NONE by default, unless you ask for it. And I had to ask for it, because of a change in bite alignment and my injuring the surgical site. -1 Ended up seeing my regular dentist for further examination of what happened. CONSEQUENCES Due to an unexpected change in bite alignment, I actually BROKE a tooth adjacent to where the extracted one used to be. The recommendation: Let's remove more teeth, they say. I feel like a lab animal, not a patient. -1 I am scared and entirely at the mercy of the practice that I was referred to. I am now in the care of a sister practice in Mount Pleasant and hoping for a graceful conclusion to what I thought would be a one-time, straightforward procedure. This will be many more months of waiting and additional procedures, before this experience is over.
