An Abilene native and graduate from McMurry University, Charles Bloomer, D.D.S., received his dental degree in 1980 from University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School and completed oral and maxillofacial residency at Nashville, Tennessee Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 1983.
As an active member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons(AAOMS), he is board certified in general anesthesia and a major advocate of Health Volunteers Overseas, a nonprofit that improves the availability and quality of health care through education, training and professional development for those with limited resources to different countries in need by healthcare personnel. Dr. Bloomer maintains an active private practice. He is married with a daughter, soon-to-be son-in-law, son and daughter-in-law. He enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, traveling, HAM radio, fishing, drones and flying his Cirrus.
