Dr. Fischer has been providing exceptional dental care in the Centreville area for over 25 years! Dr. Charles Fischer is originally from Michigan. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from Michigan State University and then graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. After graduation, he was accepted into and received certification from an accredited general practice residency with the Veterans Administration. This program provided extensive postgraduate training in the areas of periodontics (gum disease), endodontics (root canal therapy), prosthodontics (crown and bridges), and oral surgery. He also received extensive postgraduate training in orthodontics, endodontics, laser treatment, sleep dental medicine, and implant dentistry. Dr. Fischer received fellowship status with Academy of General Dentistry. He has also been a scientific presenter at the Maryland Dental Association.
Dr. Fischer is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Virginia Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, the International Association of Orthodontics, the American Association of Functional Orthopedics and Orthodontics, and the World Clinical Laser Institute. He is also a past-president of the USDI Northern Virginia Orthodontic Study Club.

Dr. Fischer has been providing exceptional dental care in the Centreville area for over 25 years! Originally from Michigan, Dr. Katherine Fischer graduated with her bachelors degree from the University of Michigan. She then attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Fischer was certified in General Dentistry after her residency program in General Practice at the Hospital Center at West Virginia University. This residency provided her with extensive postgraduate training in various areas of dentistry, including cosmetic dentistry, periodontics, laser treatment, implant dentistry, and sedation dentistry. Dr. Fischer has welcomed her comprehensive education in same-day crown design and fabrication as well, allowing us to provide a service to patients that few in the area can claim. She also has received her fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Fischer has volunteered for many years as part of the Virginia Dental Health Foundation, traveling to rural and underserved areas to provide free dental care for indigent residents. She was featured in an issue of a national publication after volunteering in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. In addition, she is a member of a number of professional organizations and associations, including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Northern Virginia Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the World Clinical Laser Institute, and the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation.
When she is not helping her patients improve their smiles, Dr. Fischer enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She also is fond of scuba diving, skiing, traveling, spending time at the gym, gardening, and making pottery in her free time.

Great 1st experience at Fischer Dentistry. I just had my first cleaning and check up today and was very impressed with them caring about me while addressing all of my concerns. After having an absolute horrible experience with another local dentist where i spent 6+ hrs in a dentist chair all while my previous dentist could not get me fully numb while redoing 2 fillings & a crown prep I was very hesitant to go to any dentist for a while. I waited almost a year and a family member recommended that I visit Fisher dentistry that had treated her so well for 10+ years. With much apprehension and being very nervous I made the trip there today and was pleasantly surprised how well they took care of me and did a thorough cleaning while being gentle & easing me back into taking care of my teeth. They Let me take baby steps and let me know what they were doing to me every step of the way. I felt very comfortable with them after being scared away from a dentists office for over a year. They have a wonderful team from the receptionists, to the dental hygienists to Dr. Charles and Dr. Katherine - they really make you feel like part of a family. Easy to schedule appointments on short notice. Dr. Charles Fischer is very thorough, professional, and does great job explaining work done. He is very gentle and ensures you are in no pain. I have been going to Dr. Fischer for almost 30 years, and always receive excellent service. Highly recommend!

I've been a loyal patient of Fischer dentistry since 1989. This husband and wife team stay up to date on all the latest techniques and ensure you have the most comfortable and professional experience possible. Their dental hygienists are also great and explain everything they are doing. I recommend them to all my friends and I can't imagine trusting my dental care to anyone else. I've also completed Invisalign (R) orthodontia to improve my smile and address some damage from grinding my teeth and I'm very happy with the results.

I would give zero stars if I could. I went to get a broken filling fixed. They tried to numb me up 5 times. They both tried. As soon as they shot me up they started drilling and I felt it. They had to stop and redo the whole process but, the Dr was getting very frustrated and taking it out on my mouth by being less than gentle and using some strong words. They told me to leave and come back later. This happend awhile ago so I can't remember if I was charged or not but, I'm thinking I wasn't. I never went back but, have been terrified to get a filling ever since. I've never had any trouble before that or after.

Had to switch dentists due to front desk incompetence. We kept getting overcharged and then after having to spend so much time manually comparing EOB and their invoices, they would have to make adjustment. We ended up telling them to send us a check of the negative balance and will find another, more competent dentistry.

Very fast and professional, I did filling today with doctor Charles and it was painless. He used a small message machine thing to relax my gum when he was injection anesthesia, so it was pain free. This was the first time I felt no pain after filling, and it was fast and professional. Highly recommend this place.

I am shocked by the stark contrast of experience I had in comparison to the other reviews. I give two stars for the concierge being friendly and hearing my complaint I expressed over the phone after my visit along with a friendly and competent dental hygienist. Sadly, I cannot review the actual dentist with such positivity. She was brash and almost aggressive. I also witnessed aggressive treatment towards the supporting staff over paperwork I had already completed. I had to ask for mouthwash to remove the debris scrapped from my teeth as she stormed off and another much more accommodating staff member retrieved after my treatment. My mouth was yanked to and fro commenting on my protruding teeth which I hadn't the least interest in fixing at the age of 40. I came to have the health of my teeth assessed and fixed not comments on my looks or orthodontics. I have never left a dental appointment feeling as though I needed to control my temper. I went home drilling into my husband for giving me this recommendation! This may have been a personality clash but nonetheless disturbing to say the least.
