For Dr. Steven A. Brisman, an early aptitude in math and science blended with a love of artistry developed naturally into an interest in dentistry that place where art and biology meet. Dr. Brisman attended college at Washington University in St. Louis to achieve his BA degree. He received his DMD from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine then served as resident, followed by Chief Dental Resident at North Shore University Hospital. Dr. Brisman received his certificate in Prosthodontics upon completion of postdoctoral work at the New York University College of Dentistry.

I wanted to be a master of my trade, which led me to choose a dental specialty, says Dr. Brisman. I was fortunate enough to be mentored by several of the founding fathers in the field of Periodontal Prosthesis, which exposed me to Prosthodontics. Dr. Brisman says his favorite patient is one who comes to him both with confidence in his skill as a clinician and with relief that they have found someone able to restore them to dental health.

Dr. Brisman is the developer of not only Advanced Dentistry of Scarsdale (a multidisciplinary practice providing a full range of dental care) but an on-site, boutique dental laboratory, On-the-Mark Laboratory, which works in tandem with the dentists to create customized dental prostheses for the practices patients. My goal for the practice is to provide excellence in treatment, absolute commitment to our patients, and a five-star service experience, says Dr. Brisman. A state-of-the-art laboratory, on the premises of a full-service dental facility, filled with clinical experts, means we can deliver top-of-the-line care for any patient.

When hes not restoring smiles, Dr. Brisman is spending time with his wife, two teenage children, and two golden doodles. The family enjoys going to the kids athletic events, skiing, beach vacations, and just relaxing at home. Dr. Brisman also gives back to his community and profession by hosting a mentoring program and dental externship program to support undergraduate students, as well as working with non-profit organizations to promote and market the science of prosthodontics.

We are so proud to announce that Dr. Brisman was named the 64th President of the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics (GNYAP) in December 2018! This is a very big honor, as the GNYAP is perhaps the leading and most prestigious group in prosthodontics regionally and around the world. Dr. Brisman will be able to work and collaborate with the greatest minds and leaders within Prosthodontics. As the President, he will also be able to lead the Academy forward in new dental techniques and technologies to better the lives of patients. For Dr. Jeffrey Brown, positive dental experiences as a child, a dental hygienist for a mother, and a good relationship with his orthodontist spurred an interest in the dental field. Dr. Brown attended Hobart College and achieved his BS degree in 1981 and earned his DMD from Tufts University in 1985. He currently maintains his own dental practice in Englewood, New Jersey.

I am good friends with my colleague, Dr. Brisman, and I live in Chappaqua, now, so joining Chappaqua Dentistry was a logical step for me, says Dr. Brown. I believe that a dentist should be honorable, experienced, and caring, and our practice reflects those same ideals: honesty, professionalism, and caring for each patient like a part of our family. Dr. Brown says his ideal patient is one who understands and trusts that their dentist will treat them in the exact same way he would wish his own friends and family to be treated.

Dr. Brown has donated dental work over the years both domestically and abroad; he was part of a mission to provide dental services in Haiti and has plans to travel to Uganda in the near future to bring excellence in dental care to underserved communities. He says his favorite type of work is dental implants and restorations.

When hes not bringing smiles to life, Dr. Brown is spending time with his wife and their three adult children. He enjoys playing golf or tennis at his country club, then retiring for the evening to enjoy a good meal with his wife.

Dr. Guccione says joining the team at Chappaqua Dentistry has provided her with the ideal opportunity to develop and grow her clinical and professional skills. Prosthodontics is the most artistically oriented specialty, she says, adding I like being able to solve the puzzle of how to treat the more complicated cases! Dr. Guccione loves smile design and the ability to restore functionality, aesthetics, and confidence to her patients with custom restorations. I like to work with my hands, and I being able to help patients who might require the removal of many of their remaining teeth followed by the fabrication of fixed or removeable or anterior (front) restorations. The result is a new, improved smile.

After graduating cum laude from Binghamton University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts, Studio Art, and Comparative Literature, she achieved her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree with a Minor in Oral Diagnostic Services at University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2003, where she had spent the previous summer as a Dental Pre-Clinic teaching Assistant. Dr. Guccione then served as a GPR resident at Nassau University Medical Center. She then went on to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) to receive her Certificate in Prosthodontics and her Master of Science in Dentistry in 2008. Dr Guccione served as an associate dentist in several New York based practices before starting her own practice in 2012. Now she is a proud part of the team at Chappaqua Dentistry.

Dr. Guccione says her ideal patient is one who is engaged with their own treatment, and interested in learning about the dental procedures and treatments involved. I do my best to determine the most suitable option for each individual patient which will meet his or her need and expectations. She believes that patients should be proactive when it comes to care, and seek dental specialists who have high level skills and knowledge in their area of expertise as well as a compassionate chairside manner and the willingness to listen to their concerns.

When she isnt creating incredible new smiles for patients, Dr. Guccione is relaxing at her Tuckahoe home making art, hiking with her children, going to the park, or visiting Park 143 in Bronxville for a meal (her art is featured in the restaurant.) She hopes to make a trip in the future to bring dental procedures to underserved people.

As a lifetime Brewster resident, it is no surprise that her over 30 years of dental practice management experience is embedded in her hometown roots. Working with patients is what brings out the pure joy and excitement of Maryanns welcoming smile and exceptional patient care. She believes in forming a personal connection with each of the patients, giving them a friendly face to welcome them at each of their visits. She gives her heart to everyone, including serving as an organizer and participant in Putnam Dental Missions, providing free dental care for third-world countries for over 7 years. When shes not making patients happy, she is busy spending time with her husband, two children, son-in-law, and their two dogs, making homemade recipes, and serving the less fortunate in the community. Kerrie says her days at Chappaqua Dentistry are full of different tasks she helps with patient care, takes x-rays, works chairside with the dentist and completes laboratory duties. I love the variety of every day, each patient, and every case, she says.

Kerrie, who has spent 17 years in the dental industry, says she loves being able to touch patients lives in a positive way. I was always interested in helping people on a personal level, she says. I loved the thought of helping people smile again. My co-workers here are like family and its the job of my dreams. Kerrie says her extreme organizational tendencies help the doctors move smoothly from patient to patient and the schedule to stay on track.

When Kerrie isnt helping the practice run like clockwork and sending home patients with happy smiles, she is usually with her large family, which includes mom, dad, two sisters, a brother, three nephews and three nieces. I spend a lot of time being an aunt, showing up at basketball games or watching my niece do gymnastics. Family is everything! Kerrie also supports United for the Troops.
