A native of Plymouth, NC, Dr. Furgurson has lived in the triangle for 15 years and is happy to call Chapel Hill home. He is an honors graduate of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, a Magna Cum Laude graduate of NC State University with B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Biotechnology, and a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill School of Dentistry.
In his spare time, Dr. Furgurson enjoys the outdoors, golf, and especially spending time with his wife Lynn, sons Clay and Jack, and their dogs Ollie and Bernice. Originally from Greenville, NC, I came to Chapel Hill to attend UNC. I like to joke that UNC couldnt get rid of me, as I pursued all of my studies at UNC-CH. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Biology with Honors (2004), Doctor of Dental Surgery with Honors (2008), and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program (2009). I currently serve as an adjunct faculty member at the UNC School of Dentistry.
Born and raised in North Carolina. I graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelors degree in Communications and then decided to pursue a career in the dental field. I graduated from Guilford Technical Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene.
This is where I found more than just a career, I found my passion. To me, being a hygienist is much more than just cleaning teeth. I love building relationships with my patients and educating them on their oral health. I enjoy being outside and spending time with my family and friends. I look forward to meeting you!
Im proud to say that I am a North Carolina native, raised in Durham, NC. I have been a practicing dental hygienist for 13 years after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2019, I had the wonderful opportunity to become a part of the incredibly talented team here at Chapel Hill Cosmetic and Family dentistry.
My top priority as a hygienist is to provide patients with care, education, and the support they need to reach and maintain optimal oral health. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and staying healthy through good nutrition and exercise.
Born in Mexico and raised in Burlington, North Carolina. I graduated as a Dental Assistant at Alamance Community College in 2015 and later graduated from Guildford Technical Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene.
I love helping others and being able to make patients feeling comfortable and provide them with the care needed. When I am not working Im usually spending time with my family, friends, and my puppy Luna. I enjoy working out, traveling, and hiking.
Born and raised in Durham, NC. I graduated from Sunrise School of Dental Assisting in 2011 and my passion for dentistry quickly began! I love building relationships with our patients, helping them better understand their treatment needs, and helping them achieve their smile goals.
I was born in Jacksonville, Florida, however, I have lived in NC most of my life. I live in Sanford with my boyfriend, Julian, and our two fur babies, Levi & Ruger. I have been an assistant for 7 years and I absolutely love what I do. I love making relationships with patients and helping them to be more understanding of their dental treatment. When I am not in the office, I spend a lot of my time in the gym, outdoors, and exploring new places with my dogs and boyfriend.
Born and raised in the Tar Heel State, where my husband Noe, our son Abel, and our golden doodle Simba call home. I graduated from the UNC Dental Assisting program in 2015 and have enjoyed helping our community ever since! In my free time, I love spending time outdoors and enjoying time with our family and friends.
My husband and I are originally from the Chicago area. We moved to North Carolina 4 years ago. I have worked in the dental field for over 16 years, as an office manager as well as a patient care coordinator. What I love most about dentistry is the time I spend with patients, helping them throughout their treatment.

Originally from Virginia Beach, my family and I moved to Orange County in 2017. In my free time, you can find me on the sidelines of various sports supporting my kiddos, jogging, hiking, walking my dogs, traveling, and exploring new places.
I made the transition from the medical field to dentistry in 2014 and absolutely love it. I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families. It is really rewarding to see the transformation small changes can make for their health, appearance, and their confidence.
Originally from Ohio, my husband and I recently moved to North Carolina with our Golden Retriever, Milo. I had a consultation and filling here and it was truly a wonderful experience, the assistants and front desk staff are super friendly and know what they're doing. I have a crippling fear of needles and said so during my filling but somehow I barely felt the puncture and the assistant soothed me. The head dentist was very quick and effective, super nice and gives good advice after each visit. This is a new dentistry for me which can be a hassle but they made me feel safe and got me all the care I needed in my first two appointments, can't wait for the next actually:)

I've moved often, so have had several dentists. Dr. Furguson and his staff are, by far, the most professional, accommodating, friendly practice I've found! I had a dental emergency on a weekend right before a lengthy out-of-town trip. I called "after hours" emergency and Dr. Furguson answered. After conferring with me, he called in an antibiotic prescription to start and personally scheduled an appointment for Monday. It's so nice not to feel like just a number!

I was very impressed. They run an efficient clinic and the staff are incredibly friendly. Dr. Furguson is knowledgeable and put together a cosmetic plan that works well for me. A+ experience. Proceed with confidence. Also, Lindsay is perhaps the most positive person I've ever encountered in a dental office or maybe anywhere. Great work! I'm happy to recommend them.

Dr Furgurson is the absolute best and a god send! Was traveling thru Raleigh area for 24 hrs and had a dental emergency and he was able to see me on his off hours and give me a diagnosis and plan of treatment! His facility was state of the art and he made me feel at ease instantly! Highly suggest if you live in the area to make him your primary dentist! Thank you Dr Furgurson for giving me hope in an uncomfortable dental travel experience!

Dear aliens of the very large solar system. Yes, you could go anywhere to get your teeth-like apparatus cleaned and doctored anywhere. I'm here to tell you. Look no further! Not only is this team one of the best on planet earth, Lindsay is quite possibly the best hygienist in the solar system. Actually, not possibly. IS. In addition, Dr. F will likely mesmerize you with his dental skills and irrefutable hair, and Megean and Malena up front have such high level customer service skills and charm, you'll leave shocked that of all places they've chosen to work it's right here, on earth, in NC. I love my dentist, Dr. White. He is knowledgeable, gentle and kind. He takes time to get to know me, to explain tooth problems and repair options, and to make sure I'm comfortable throughout the proceedure. The hygienists and assistants are equally skilled and friendly. I feel at home and relaxed there and actually look forward to going to the dentist!

This is by the far the best dentist office that I have been to. I have unfortunately spent a lot of time in different dentist office's over the years, and the atmosphere that they create for their patients is second to none. They are very friendly, provide a special treatment plan, and genuinely care about their patients. I truly appreciate the services that they provide.
