Dr. Philip Koh is a board certified prosthodontist. A prosthodontist is a dentist who has completed dental school plus three additional years of advanced training and education in an ADA-accredited prosthodontic graduate program. They specialize in treating and handling dental and facial problems that involve restoring missing tooth and jaw structures. A prosthodontist is highly trained in cosmetics, dental implants, crowns, bridges, dentures, temporomandibular disorders (TMJ/TMD), and more.
A board certified prosthodontist has successfully passed a rigorous examination conducted by the American Board of Prosthodontics. He or she is subjected to re-certification every eight years to insure that he or she is current in practices that affect the specialty.
Dr. Philip Koh began his dentistry journey at the Pusan National University College of Dentistry in South Korea, where he graduated in 1993. He went on to the University of Michigan, earning a Postgraduate Certificate in Periodontics. He also completed both a Graduate Certificate in Prosthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry at the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Koh isa board-certified prosthodontist and a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists.
After his graduation from dental school, Dr. Koh started running a private practice. He then served in the South Korean Army for three years as a dental officer with the rank of first lieutenant. Following his service, he went on to complete his graduate degrees in the United States, after which he held a position as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Michigan. Since 2008, he has worked in Washington D.C. and the Northern Virginia area.
Over the years, Dr. Koh has been honored with many prestigious awards, including Teacher of the Year at the University of Michigan. Today, he continues to be a featured lecturer at academic conferences and professional meetings. He understands the value of keeping up-to-date in the ever-changing world of dentistry, and strongly believes that education is an ongoing process without end, so he regularly attends continuing education courses and lectures to broaden his knowledge of the field.
Dr. Jessica Y. Ko graduated from Boston Universitys Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. During her time in Boston, she administered care to patients of all backgrounds and ages and was active in making quality dental care accessible through volunteer and community service events. She has recently moved to Virginia, where she intends to carry out her long-term career goals for patient care. As a general dentist, she performs a wide scope of procedures involving fillings, crowns, bridges, implants, and root canals.
Dr. Ko adheres to a philosophy that prioritizes patient comfort, clear communication, and education. She is beloved by patients for her gentle bedside manner and her enthusiasm for sharing her dental knowledge. She is an ardent believer of life-long learning and is constantly updating her dental armamentarium through continuing education courses.

Alex assists Dr. Koh in providing more efficient dental treatment by preparing patients for treatment, sterilizing instruments, taking and exposing dental radiographs, and much more. Alex is currently a student at George Mason University. When she is not by Dr. Kohs side, she is weightlifting, hiking with her dog, or eating tacos.
Christina is our financial coordinator who is responsible for communicating with patients to identify the optimal way to finance the proposed treatment. She handles patients insurance claims and benefits to determine the best financial options for your beautiful smile. In her downtime, Christina loves to play games and spend time with her two cats.
Lauren is one of our dental assistants who works to ensure your visit is sanitary, welcoming, and time-efficient. She sterilizes instruments, orders the individual-specific surgical guides, and assists Dr. Koh during procedures. She enjoys reading and spending time with her family and dog.
KJ is a Certified Dental Technician working in our in-house dental lab. He focuses on removable restorations, digital work flow, and CAD-CAM. As a denture technician, he uses his expertise for teeth set up, finish, and processing, digital dentures design, hybrid dentures (bar design). Before joining our K-Tech Dental Lab Team, KJ worked as an engineer. He enjoys playing tennis and spending time learning other languages.
Kenny is a Dental Technician who works in our in-house dental lab. He is a ceramist, focusing on fixed restorations (crowns, bridges), implants, and CAD-CAM work. Before joining our team, Kenny worked in web design, focusing on both 2D and 3D graphic design. When not working on getting you your best smile, Kenny enjoys spending time fishing and honing his photography skills.
Jane manages our dental lab (K-Tech Dental Lab) and oversees the finances of both the dental lab and office. Before transitioning to her current role, she graduated from pharmacy school and worked as a pharmacist for several years. She is excited about this opportunity to continue to engage with the health field from a different perspective. In her spare time, Jane is a proud owner of three dogs, and enjoys playing piano and gardening.

Dr. Koh perform for me implant placement and sinus lift surgery. I was very impressed how it was performed and with his technique. I have lots of experience with other dentists and I could not imagine that such procedures can be done with no pain, no stitches, no swelling. The office stuff, Christina, Alex, Lauren, Ricky and the Lab guys are very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this practice. Mark

This place is AMAZING!!! I am very impressed with this practice and I would recommend it to any patient requiring extensive dental care. I have been wearing Dentures since age 16. I have tried many times to get implants. However, they were very costly. In 2021 I was referred to Dr. Koh at Chantilly Dental in Chantilly. I have found Dr. Koh to very gentle with his patients. I was very nervous about doing implants but strangely enough did not feel pain. As a person who is afraid of dentist, it took me over 30 years to get implants. Today, I have a beautiful smile. I am also a lot more confident now. Thanks to Dr. Koh and the Chantilly Dental team. I can not say enough nice things about this office, the staff is incredibly welcoming and their office is state of the art. They have an in house lab so you don't have to wait as long for a turn around time. I broke a front tooth and they got me in right away and set up a treatment plan. I was so stressed but they had me laughing by the end of the visit and they brought the cost price down some for me since they are not considered in-network for my procedure. Since it is a front tooth I was very worried about how long it would take to get a temporary replacement and they said 2 days but they called me when I got home and said it would actually be ready the next day! This place is amazing! They also use special computer aided programs to ensure the correct implant placement that other offices do not have. I absolutely hate going to the dentist, but I am so happy I found this place!

Getting exceptional dental care can be a challenge. From the first visit I felt that Dr. KOH and his staff were genuinely interested in helping me and not just collecting their fee, which was quite reasonable. The confidence I gained in his expertise was well earned by the excellent care he took with my crown and implant placements. I am fully satisfied with his courteous staff as well. I've had root canal treatments 3 times and Dr. Koh had done the last treatment. Dr. Koh's treatment was quick, agile and accurate. There were various considerations to reduce discomfort when my mouth is open for a long time, and above all, the procedure time was about 40 mins only way shorter than others, and it was good in every way. The office staff are also very friendly, and the state-of-the art equipment for diagnosis and clean and beautiful facilities were all good. I strongly recommend Dr. Koh and his staff.

Dr. Koh came highly recommended to me. On my first visit I found Dr. Koh and his staff to be warm, friendly, and professional. I had never had implants before, and they immediately put me at ease. The implant procedure was explained in great detail. I was impressed that all aspects of the process take place at his office/lab. My implant procedure was essentially absolutely painless. Dr. Koh and his attendant were very accommodating to me during the process, keeping me informed about what was happening and asking about my comfort. One thing I had been concerned about was whether the new teeth would fit comfortably in my mouth and match up with my other teeth. I needn't have worried. The teeth match up perfectly. I have my old mouth back! I adamantly recommend Dr. Koh and his team for an excellent implant experience.
