I would not rate this orthodontist even a one star. I usually try starting a review on a positive note, however, I am unable to do so here. If you are a parent looking for an orthodontist for your child, stay far away from Zweihorn Orthodontics. You will save yourself from years of aggravation if you do so. My experience with Zweihorn turned bitter fast. With this orthodontist, you can never contact anyone. I've spent hours trying to get through to the receptionist to change appointments or with any questions. The staff gives attitude and you feel uncomfortable just making an appointment. In this day and age, customer service is everything. Yet at Zweihorn, they give you nothing. Just take a look at all the other negative reviews and see their responses. Instead of trying to help their client, they bash them so bad. Who in their right mind would use an orthodontist with nasty, immature, rude, disgusting staff? You may notice, that majority of good reviews are from 3 years ago or prior. This place definitely took a sharp turn in the wrong direction. The wait time is endless. You could sit in the office for hours. They're so backed up with appointments because they're open minimal days. They also do a terrible job with putting the braces on. Brackets fall off left and right. In six short weeks, it is normal to come to your appointment with four broken brackets. Instead of fixing them, like any other orthodontist, Zweihorn makes you wait however long they decide. So you'll be walking around with a mouthful of broken brackets for months. That means you have braces on for much longer than you actually need. On average, someone should have their braces on for two years. 4 years is a completely normal amount of time to have braces at this orthodontist. The doctor kept telling me that my braces will come off next visit. He told me that for a year. And even after 4 years of braces, my top teeth were not completely straight. I don't know if this is enough to keep you all away from here, but seriously, don't get yourself stuck at this place. Transferring orthodontists in middle of treatment isn't all that simple.

Do not use them.. besides all the bad services they offer.. They are never open.. After being closed for whole month for our Jewish holidays they were still closed for another made up holiday the following few days so can't even get an appointment

If you look at the reviews, the good ones are not current. Regarding the Brooklyn office: it used to be good. The reviews in the community were good. Over a year now, though, that has changed, along with the recommendations by patients: "stay away". It is near impossible to reach anyone by phone. You can try calling for days and weeks and there's an answering machine and you're prompted to leave a message. You never receive a return call. The wait time for an appointment is over a month at best. The office resembles a zoo with patients waiting, mostly standing room only, for over an hour on average. The dental team seems overwhelmed and curt and sometimes even rude. I have had three children with braces and saw the practice decline rapidly. From excellent to disastrous. I will not publicize my name yet, as one of my children are still a patient. Go ahead... ask around in Brooklyn...ask current patients. You will not hear a single positive word about this place. REPLY to owner: Wow, what an unexpected, immature, disgusting reply, attacking an entire community. Middos and ehrlichkeit are evident in your patients. Ask any random person to come observe the behavior of all the girls and boys sitting in your waiting room. Exemplary, quiet, respectful behavior. No, I will not just move forward as you ask in your reply. YOU ARE THE ONE LACKING MIDDOS AND EHRLICHKEIT. It's all about your money. You don't bite the hand that feeds you. If you find that the community is not good to you, you are not stuck. People are simply frustrated with your inconsiderate, unprofessional attitude. You're cheap and you're uncaring. You refuse to hire additionally needed secretarial help. I stated an obvious fact: it is nearly impossible to get through to your office. All day. Every day. You can easily hire an outside service to handle your calls. Additionally you can hire in office or out of office help to return calls. Simple unprofessionalism. It's too bad. Years ago you and your staff were nice and more amicable. Your clientele grew and instead of growing along with the practice and working with the demand that you allowed in, your service is declining in every way.

It's impossible to get through to the office or leave a message. Voicemail is full. To Dr Zweihorn: Regarding your disparaging remarks about the community: Your words are extremely unprofessional and disparaging. Please move your practice to another community if you are unable to conceal your disdain for your clients. I sensed your attitude, but to see you reveal it publicly takes it to another level. Absolutely disturbing and shocking! As an aside: In regards to your reply to the reviewer below - the proper spelling in the context of your sentence is "cite" not "site".

For starters when trying to get through by phone no calls are ever answered. Once you finally schedule an appointment and you get there, the wait time is an hour plus. I ordered and paid for a retainer $400 I waited 2 months and still no answer. Called the office every day and they said they don't have it yet. When I made the retainer I spoke to the dr he said I'll have it in 2 weeks. It is now over 2 months and nada! Waste of money! Big scam! Don't go there

Both me and my brother have gotten braces here and we have found the staff and Dr Zweihorn himself to be very helpful and patient. I was having a few issues with insurance and the front desk sat me through the entire process and we were able to resolve it. Additionally they take most Medicaid insurances which is a hard find in this community. They have always been very accommodating to all our needs and do their best to ensure that our experience was as bump free as possible. Definitely would recommend to get your braces here!

DON'T DO invisalign here ~edit before I changed Orthodontist's I was unhappy but didn't have anything to compare this orthodontist to, but now I can say I am much happier and can see all the mistakes, inefficiency and inconvenience this doctor made. Let me clarify. Nothing extreme was messed up with my Invisalign, definitely not the best place to go for this treatment. This is only a review on their Invisalign treatment around 3 or something years ago. Although they did have a problem with there phones and it was hard to reach them. It could they are good with regular brasses but I didn't take that treatment so I wouldn't know.

I have been a patient since before covid. The office was very slow to begin with and is now showing improvement. The front desk staff are accommodating. The nurses are very efficient. Even though there is a long wait (as would be expected of a dental office), they fix everything and always see me when I have an emergency. Great place and very convenient.

I love the friendly atmosphere at dr zewenhorn office the front desk are very kind and sweet to as well has the dr. The front desk, staff and dr greet you with a warm smile. The dr spends a lot of time with you. I'm very happy with him and his all his staff and the kind front desk

If I could give this place 0 stars I would . Very bad customer service the wait time is horrible. They will say it's because of this pandemic but the wait time for anything in this place has been bad even before COVID 19 . The orthodontist does not do a good job and there is poor communication in the staff STAY AWAY !!!!

I am very happy with every trip there. They are always so nice and sweet. The color selection is great and it looks good. They are very professional and persistent. I am very happy with my experience here so far. The receptionists are very nice and the nurses and doctors are very caring. I strongly recommend this place.
