Dr. Ecsile Chang strives to deliver excellent patient care that is tailored to each individual and treats all her patients like they are family. She is kind, passionate, and has small hands so it makes working in your mouth much more pleasant.
She was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska, and knew once she had a family, that this was where she wanted to raise her own. Ever since she could remember, she was fascinated with teeth had a vision that she would become a dentist one day and now here she is, living that dream.
She graduated from Lathrop High School and attended theUniversity of Alaska Fairbanks as a UA Scholar where she earned a Bachelor's of Biological Science degree. She graduated from UAF with honors and was inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society. To pursue her dream, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where she was accepted into theUniversity of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine program. After completing the program, she earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree and graduated in the top 10% of her class.
Dr. Chang was very active throughout her time at school. She was an officer for The Sgt. Ferrins Veteran Dental Clinic, which offered free dental care to military veterans. She was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and presented her research project at theAmerican and International Association of Dental ResearchConference. She co-authored an industry publication and was also a member of her class council for all four years.
As you can see, Dr. Chang is great at managing multiple tasks and loves a challenge. Being raised in the beautiful city of Fairbanks, Dr. Chang had no doubt that she wanted to return and serve the community that once served her. She is also the first Korean dentist in Fairbanks and is proud to be able to help those where the language is a barrier.
Outside of the office, Dr. Chang enjoys spending time with her family. She is married to her high school sweetheart who together have two children, Eden and Stella, and a furbaby named Bentley. She enjoys the outdoors, yoga, and loves to eat.
I have taken on the role as office manager here at Chang Family Dental. I have been with the company over 11 years now. My husband and I moved to Alaska from New Mexico/Arizona area and continue to love the adventure here. I have 3 children and 7 grandchildren. In my spear time I love spending time with my children and grandchildren and new adventures that comes my way.
I am a Hygienist here at Chang Family Dental and have been practicing hygiene for decades. I love to read and travel in my spare time. Family is very important to me and I love spending as much time with them as possible.
I'm born and raised in Fairbanks. I love spending time with my family and friends, snowboarding, painting, and playing piano. I'm beginning school for dental hygiene and am so excited to see what the future holds for me!
I have lived in the Fairbanks area with my family since 2013. I began my dental adventure in 2017 and have loved my job ever since. I started out as an assistant, but I now work with patients from the front desk. When Im not at the office helping our fantastic patients, you can find me spending time with my husband and two sons. Whether its four-wheeling, snow machine riding, or camping, we love spending time outdoors enjoying all of the beauty that Alaska has to offer. I look forward to many more years of serving the Fairbanks community with Chang Family Dental.
I was raised in Fairbanks. I enjoy camping, boating, fishing and riding 4-wheelers with my husband And 2 children. I also enjoy traveling as much as possible. I look forward to seeing you at Chang Family Dental.

I've always hated the dentists office and have put off going for years but dr chang and her staff are the best. They were so nice to me and made sure I understood the treatment plan completely. Will be going to them anytime i need a cleaning or work. Thank you ladies you are amazing!

Dr Chang is the most personable dentist I've ever had. She's professional, friendly and it's evident she cares deeply about her patients. Dr Chang explained step by step what she was looking at and didn't hesitate to answer any questions I had. Her staff was extremely professional as well as friendly. I felt very at home with my new dentist. Thank you to Dr Chang and the entire staff. I would highly recommend!

Can't recommend Chang Family Dental enough! Dr. Chang is extremely thorough, competent, and helpful. The dental assistants give a great cleaning, and are friendly and knowledgeable. The whole staff is professional and fun.

We really love Dr. Chang and the whole office staff. Everyone greets us with a smile and true joy. My daughter had some extensive dental work that was needed and had a lot of anxiety over the experience. The staff was super accommodating and they got us through a difficult experience with an incredible amount of patience. I highly recommend Chang Family Dental!

The friendly and professional environment was much appreciated. Ability to get me in and out and able to identify and correct problem areas. This was such an amazing visit! I had a broken tooth that was causing a lot of pain and needed an extraction. I called at 8am right when they opened and had an appointment by 10am and was done and out of the office by 10:30am. All of this during a pandemic! Dr. Chang and her staff had such a great attitude and it made the visit so much more relaxing. I just got my broken wisdom tooth pulled and it was less stress and anxiety than some visits I've had at local eateries or even banks. Thank you so much! As long as they're in practice I'm a lifelong customer!

From scheduling my appointment to the appointment day was smooth and positive. The staff is efficient, quick and knowledgeable. I have never had a more hands on exam from a dentist before, EVER! Very thorough, took the time to educate as well as afford me time to discuss any concerns or ask questions. Excellent experience.

The staff at Chang Family Dental were very welcoming and helped my 6 year-old kiddo to feel at ease during her first visit. Dr. Chang was so warm and professional and explained everything to me and then also to my daughter in terms she could understand.

The staff is lovely, kind, and patient. I had to call to reschedule due to no babysitter for my 4 month old, and they offered to watch and hold her while I got my teeth cleaned! I went there with her and they were so happy to help me. Overall great experience, I don't want to go anywhere else!

I was so scared going in for my first appointment. I know my mouth is a mess and I was embarrassed to show it. But the staff from my first phone call to going in, filing out the paperwork to meeting the dentist, Dr. Chang was exceptional. The doctor put me st ease with her beautiful self. She sat by my side and showed me everything and answered all my questions. I'm fortunate to have the VA help me with dental care but blessed to have found these ladies and this dentist to help.me. I know now that I don't have to e scared or embarrassed and I am finally in the best hands in Fairbanks. And glad my purse was loved by all!!!
