Dr. Jordon Chandler, a native of Perry, Georgia, graduated from Perry High School and continued to Georgia Southern University to earn a degree in biology. His early career interest was geared towards orthopedic medicine, inspired by his interests in sports. However, after being introduced to dentistry by a friends dentist-father, his calling became clear. Dentistry offered the opportunity to combine his diverse interests in psychology, science, engineering and art with a passion to help others. For Dr. Chandler, dentistry offered the chance to make everyones day better whether he was fixing a dental problem, calming fears or creating a smile makeover.
While attending Georgias renown dental school, now known as The Dental College of Georgia in Augusta Georgia, he met and married his perfect match and fellow graduate, Dr. Amanda Erwin Chandler, who practices with her dentist-father in Elberton. While you may periodically see either doctor in the office, Dr. Jordon Chandler primarily works full time at the Royston office and Dr. Amanda Chandler treats patients in the Elberton office.
After graduation, as serendipity has a way of providing, Royston Dentist, Dr. Don Brady was seeking a dentist to take over the care of his patients so he could tackle a bucket list of retirement activities. Dr. Brady and Dr. Chandler shared clinical philosophy and a passion for the Royston/Franklin Springs community. Dr. Bradys long-term staff enthusiastically welcomed Dr. Chandler to take over the care of their beloved patients and, another perfect match was made.
For the Chandlers, education and learning is a personal passion and life-time commitment. To ensure patients have access to the most current and effective treatments, Dr. Jordon Chandler has extended his post graduate training to include procedures in esthetic dentistry, surgery and mastering the placement of single tooth implant restorations. Having a wide scope of procedures available to patients allows Dr. Chandler to listen to the patients goals for their oral health, understand what the patient values, then offer a collaborative problem-solving approach to find the best treatment option within the patients preferred budget. Dental implants, particularly, have proven to be an incredibly comfortable, functional and, over time, cost-effective solution to many dental problems.
On a personal note, toddler-like Murray, the Chandlers 80-pound black lab, was the couples early venture into the role of parenting. In Spring 2017, they were blessed with the birth of their son, Jones. Additionally, they enjoy camping, fishing, hunting, being on the lake, golfing and trying to train Murray for duck hunting.
After graduating from Greenville Technical College in 2001 with her degree and license to practice in Georgia, Kim settled back down in Franklin County. Kim has been a resident of Franklin County for 24 years and her husband, Darrell, has lived here all his life. Similar to Dr. Chandler, Kim enjoys the clinical aspects of dental hygiene where the procedures and education she provides helps people keep their teeth for a lifetime. The growing knowledge of how oral health plays a significant role in the prevention of systemic diseases renews her enthusiasm to inspire healthy oral habits for even more reasons than a dynamic smile! Yet, Kim will share that its the personal side of dentistry that brings much satisfaction. In her second decade as a dental hygienist, Kim enjoys the connection with her long-term patients as well as meeting those new to the practice.
